I groggily opened my eyes, and let out a groan as I rubbed the back of my neck. What happened...? I scanned the room with my (e/c) eyes and noticed I was in some kind of bedroom. It was kind of bare, with only a queen sized bed, a desk with a chair that looked as if it had been bolted to the floor, and two nightstands on either side of the bed. There was also a dresser with a simple lamp on it. All of it was white, minus the bed frame, and the lamp. The drawers on the nightstands and the dresser were rimmed in midnight black. I was lying on top of the white covers on the bed.

I swung my lugs over the side of the bed and heard a 'Clunk!' which made me snap my head to my feet, which had a chain wrapped around them. It was as if I had handcuffs around my ankles, and connected to that was a chain that stretched to the bedpost where it was firmly wrapped around it and locked, as if melted into it. I held my hand to the chain, and yelped as a sharp pain shot through my hand, as if someone was driving a needle, or even a knife underneath my skin. It burned and I held my hand to my chest as I looked at it. Turning my head, I could see the glare of some kind of force field over it, preventing me from taking it off through magic, which was like a psych (the ability a pin had to fight). A red mark was forming on my hand and I turned my head to see the same chain wrapped around my wings, binding them together tightly, which hurt to say the least. They struggled to be free.

I stood up and carefully moved around the room, searching for anything. The only window was near the ceiling and out of my reach (though it was open), and the chain barely went to the wall. As I neared the door, it swung open and instincts kicked in, causing me to jump back, only to trip on my own two feet, sending me stumbling to the ground. I grasped to grab anything, but before I could, someone snaked their arm around my waist and the other around my neck, to catch me. I looked up into familiar crystal blue eyes. I glared as he pulled my to my feet suddenly, causing me to stumble forward onto his chest. I immediately took a small step back away from him as I continued to glare daggers into his eyes.

"Nikolai...," I said, venom dripping off of my voice. "Where am I? You should know that the laws here state that you can't kidnap people."

"Oh sweetheart~ You wound me ever so deeply~ You know, I'm not too sure that anyone will come and actually try to save you. After all, they know that I've appointed you as my new assistant, so don't expect anyone. The only person here is me. It's not like the Composer will come here. Because, it'd take a lot for that to happen. Paperwork would have to be done and... Well, overall it'd just be too complicated for Him to even come here. He doesn't even know where you are. Besides, those chains can only be broken by me. You've already witnessed what happens if you try to take them off," Nikolai said. I remembered my hand which was now only a slight pink hue. I took steps back and sat on the bed, staring at my hands in my lap.

"Just go away," I said, thinking about everyone back in the RG/UG. Will Joshua or Mr. Hanekoma even realize that I've been kidnapped by him?

"You'll soon learn to forget about Him and all the others. Whether it be by force, or not." Nikolai left after that and locked the door behind him. I closed my eyes, and thought about Solaris who was still in the Higher Plane. I wouldn't be able to communicate with anyone in the RG. I felt my clothes and realized that my phone was missing, anyway. My thoughts were fuzzy, as if a TV was left on static, making it hard to concentrate. I did, however, still have one of my previous abilities from being an Onlooker, which was telepathy. Or, telepathic communication. However, I had minor doubts about it working, with all of these thoughts swarming through my head, and the barriers that were put up around the room. I shook my head, pushing away the doubts. I had to believe wholeheartedly that it would work.

Just think of it like imprinting on someone's mind...

I thought about Solaris and tried pushing my thoughts out to her as far as I could get them, reaching some sort of block.

I tried to reach out to her again, holding my head in my hands as it started to hurt to go any further.

Help me! Get Mr. Hanekoma, or Joshua... Anybody!

Drained, I fell back on the bed, seeing that my attempts were most likely useless, resulting in failure. There's too much in the room to concentrate. My wings rubbed against each other as I laid back down, adjusting myself on the pillow. There wasn't anything I could do at the moment.

......

It had been a week.

"How are you still clinging on to those memories? Honestly, you really are something else (Y/n)," Nikolai hummed as he tossed some kind of tool up in the air. Over, and over again, before he finally made it vanish into thin air. I stayed quiet, letting the trail of blood run down my lip. I held my left arm as I resisted any kind of mental connection to him. Of course, I was grower weaker with each second and would sooner or later lose my grip on my mental state. Nikolai was a very impatient man, and if he didn't get what he wanted instantly he would grow angry from what it seems. It was only a couple days, before he stopped trying to peacefully talk and resulted to violence.

Don't give up just yet!

Remember your friends...

They're still here for you, just hang on...

Part of me had enough, and wanted to give in to his torturous ways, and another part of me was still willing to fight against him.

"Although, you should realize that sooner or later, you're just going to give in. So, you might as well just give up now sweetheart~"

"... No. I know I won't give in to you... I still have some people worth fighting for, and I wouldn't give in to you if it means forgetting about them, or having you force fake memories into my head," I said. For the past few days, Nikolai has been using any method in his power to alter my memories, and no matter how much I resist, I'm not invincible. Although, the first couple of days, he tried negotiating with me, but I refused, as stubborn as I am. Not only is he trying to get into my head, but has even resorted to physical force to try to get me to let my guard down.

"That's exactly what I like about you dear~-"

"Don't call me that!" I snapped. I only liked it when Joshua called me that... And just that brought back memories of him.

"What? Dear? I'll call you whatever I want to call you dear," Nikolai said. He held the tool up to my neck, forcing my head up to look at him. I could've sworn that his eyes flashed crimson red for a second. "After all, I'm the one with the power, and it'll stay that way. All you have to do, is just be my wife. It's simple, really. But that Composer is still getting in my way. I can hardly track him as easily as I could before. What did you do?" he growled. I gulped and clenched the bed sheets since I was sitting on the edge of the bed.

"What do you mean by that?! I can't do anything in this room!" I said. The thought that someone noticed my absence filled me with hope.

But what if he's just lying?

"You're right. I've taken cautious measures to keep you from getting any kind of outside connection with someone," Nikolai said, though it was more of a note to himself. "But, just a thought for you to keep in mind. I know the Composer's frequency enough to pinpoint his location if I really wanted, and tomorrow, I was planning on heading down to Shibuya anyway. Better to kill two birds with one stone." My eyes widened and I bit my lip. He couldn't kill Joshua... Joshua wouldn't let someone like Nikolai kill him, but, angels are said to have an equal power to a Composer, sometimes even more powerful. Then...

"No! Don't... Don't kill him," I said, standing up. Nikolai was a couple inches taller than me, so I had to look up at him. But what made it worse was that I thought back to what Mr. Hanekoma said, about Nikolai being the one to kill my parents. That thought made me sick to my stomach.

"Ah. Seems like I have your attention now. Well, if you don't want me to harm Him, or, even better-- Oops, I meant worse, kill Him, then you'll do as I say. But, how can I see if you're not just doing this to scheme your way out of here. Oh! I know." Nikolai pulled something out of his pocket and I gasped, seeing what it was.

It was the necklace Joshua had gotten me, just dangling from his fingertips.

"I mean, I could always just break this. It's important to you, right?" Nikolai murmured, tossing it up and down.

"No! Don't, please," I said.

"Then hold still and close your eyes for a second." I tensed up, scenarios running through my head about what he might do, but complied, seeing how he could destroy he necklace at any moment. I could hear him get closer to me, before his cold hands touched my neck, sending shivers down my spine. He clasped something around my neck, which I could feel as some sort of cloth, with something dangling from the front. Was this a choker?

"You can open your eyes now." I opened them and felt at my neck, confirming my suspicions. He held out a mirror that seemed to materialize out of thin air and I looked in it.

Around my neck was a black choker that had a medium-large (f/c) gem that was rimmed in silver hanging from it on the front. I reached out to touch it and when I touched it, it let out an electric shock to my fingertips, making me hiss and pull away from it.

"You can't take it off. But when wearing this, I will know your location at all times, and if you happen to disobey, it will give off a powerful electric shock," Nikolai smirked. "Also, it will keep you inside a barrier that I have set up around the house."

"What am I? A dog?" I asked, feeling my heartbeat rapidly increase as I fully took in the information he said.

"Perhaps. You'll be an obedient one though~" He reached around behind me and I felt the chains around my wings disappear, as well as the ones on my ankles. I sat down again and rubbed my ankles, feeling how sore they were. Nikolai had kissed my forehead and I had to keep myself from revolting. He left, and I reached to touch the choker her placed on me again. Instead of the somewhat small shock earlier, this one was intense, and sent me gasping for breath as my body went rigid. I panted, as I stood up, making a mental note not to touch it again. A dove flew in through the window and onto the desk. Curious, I looked at it and held my hand out. The dove stared at me and flew onto my finger, fluttering her wings as she groomed herself under one of her wings. Through my blurred vision, I saw the dove fly away, and back through the window, and tears cascaded like a river down my face. I buried my face in my hands, one thought running through my mind like a broken record.

Joshua...
