Niall's P.O.V

I laughed at the joke my Dad said and looked over at Liz. The sun was sitting which made her look as if she was glowing. She was in the middle of laughing at what my Dad said. I'm so glad she's here. I'm so glad that she's here in my home town, meeting my family. They already like her. I can tell. My Mom's been so excited for this and she won't stop talking to Liz. She's been asking questions about how her tour is, how her music is going.

It's great that they get along. I know I'm in for a hell of a night because they're going to embarrass me a lot. Especially Greg. But I don't really mind. I've never really brought a girl home to meet my family before so I kind of like having to go through all the traditional steps normal people would take for this. I mean Liz and I are sometimes on the cover of magazines. It's only because we are in two bands and we don't exactly have a private relationship at the times. But it's nice that we can do something really normal for once.

"Here we are." My Dad said, pulling into my mother's driveway. I guess we'll be staying here. My Dad will probably go back to his place later tonight and then we'll meet up again sometime tomorrow.

I looked out the window at the house I grow up in. Well, until I went to stay with my Dad. It looks just the same as it usually does, which brought a smile to my face. It's nice to see that some things never change. I snapped out of my thoughts when the car turned off and Liz slipped her hand into mine. I smiled down at her and kissed her forehead before we got out of the car.

Greg's car was following behind us and they parked next to us. I walked over to the trunk of the car and started to pull the bags out. Liz helped, grabbing her bag. I swear that bag gets pinker every time I see it. Well, not literally. But every time I see it... I don't know. It's hot pink which is pretty bright at times. Especially when the sun is starting to set and it's getting darker out.

"Okay, so I thought that it would be a good idea to make something that Liz really liked. Niall told me you loved Chinese food but since I thought a home cooked meal would be much nicer to come home to, I made lasagna." Mom said, looking over at Liz.

"That's perfect. I haven't had lasagna in a long time." Liz said, making my Mom smile.

I know how long my mom's been waiting to meet Liz, she bugged me about it before Greg's wedding. She's been so excited for this and from the looks of it, it's everything she's been waiting for. I'm so glad that she likes Liz. I knew she would, but it's nice to have reassurance. I'm really confident in the fact that my Dad, Greg, and Denise will like her as well. But we've got one down, which is great.

We made our way into the house, bringing a smile on Liz's face. It may not be nearly as big as hers, or high tech, but it had a really homey feel to it. I instantly knew she liked it, which was great. My Dad helped Liz get her suitcase to my old room, then saying that he'd go see if Mom needed any help or anything.

Liz started looking around my old bedroom and I watched her. Her finger traced over my old dresser, looking at the few things I left here. She walked over to my old bed and ran her fingers down the cover before sitting down on it. I really like seeing her in this room. It's hard to believe that four- almost five -years ago, I lived here. At that age, I had no clue what was going to happen. I had no clue that I'd be put into One Direction, getting signed. I had no clue that a little less than three years later I'd meet Liz and fall helplessly in love with her. Then almost two years after that I'd bring her here to meet my family.

I shook the thoughts out of my head and let go of my suitcase. Walking over to Liz, I pulled her up on her feet and wrapped my arms around her waist. Liz laughed and wrapped her arms around my neck, playing with the hair at the back of my head.

"I love it here. Your house is so cute and this room is so much like you. I wish I could have known you before all this. Omigod, can you imagine coming here to study or something?" Liz said, laughing at the end.

I laughed, but couldn't help but picture it. I'm sure if she had lived her, or even if I had lived in Maine, we would have ended up together. We just fit together too well. But I could imagine being friends with her and her coming to study in my room. Odd, but it's true.

"Yeah, we would have been best friends. I'd start to fall in love with you over time and when I finally got the guts to tell you how I felt you'd harshly reject me. Mostly liking because of my old crooked teeth and cocky sixteen year old attitude." I said, teasingly at the end.

"Aw, babe. If it helps I would have been the one to like you first. Back in two thousand eleven, when I first saw One Direction I immediately liked you the best. It was because of your teeth, actually. I was a sucker for them, they looked so cute." Liz said, looking up at me.

I laughed and shook my head slowly. There's no way that she'd start to like me first. She's be some gorgeous sixteen year old girl with every guy falling for her. She'd never think of me as more than a friend.

"I don't think so, I'd like you first." I said, looking back down at her.

"Are we arguing over who'd like each other first?" Liz asked, laughing again.

It was true, we were arguing over it. Well not technically arguing, more like the playful arguing. I honestly love when we do this because it's just... I don't know. I really can't explain it. It's just so fun to do this, to argue over stupid pointless things in a playful tone. And then to laugh about it after. It's fun and I don't really know why.

"C'mon, we'll unpack later tonight or tomorrow morning. I can smell the lasagna from up here and all I want to do is go and eat some of it." I said, inhaling the scent that was beginning to fill my room.

"Yeah, me too." Liz said, licking her lips.

I leaned down and kissed her. She smiled through the kiss and it brought a smile to my face. I don't think I could ever want to stop kissing this girl. We could be in a huge fight, both saying things we'd regret. In the midst of it all I'd still want to kiss her.

I pulled away after a good amount of time. I need to work on being able to hold my breath longer. Liz's got me beat by a good amount of time. If I was able to hold my breath longer who knows how long we'd be able to kiss for. That actually sounds really cool, I should definitely work on that.

I grabbed Liz's hand and led her out of my room. By the time we got into the kitchen my Mom was setting the table. Liz dropped my hand and walked over to mom, asking if she could help with anything.  Of course mom agreed, handing Liz the rest of the plates while she went to get the cups. Before walking out of the kitchen, I placed a kiss on top of her head.

I walked into the living room, where a football game was playing on the telly. My dad told me to sit next to him, and so I did. He asked me how the tour was going, and I didn't waste any time telling him how it's going. I know my dad's always loved hearing these crazy stories.

"Hey Niall, "Greg said once I was finished. Denise was in the kitchen with my mom and Liz, and I'm assuming that Theo was there with them.

"How come it took you so long to bring Liz to meet us? She's a great girl, comes off a little shy though." Greg said, taking a sip of his drink.

I laughed and grabbed my drink. I guess you could say Liz came off a bit shy. Well, more nerves then anything. But I know what she feels right now and I know she's been nervous for a while. Plus she had to say goodbye to her family earlier this morning.

"Yeah, she is a little. I don't know why it took so long, I guess I never really thought about it until..." I stopped talking, remembering what brought me to want to her to meet my parents.

I had overheard her talking about how she didn't like it when I kept texting or calling. I felt so pathetic, like an obsessive boyfriend. I just missed her so much, especially after she helped me through such a rough past. I wanted to talk to her and just... I don't know, hear her voice. I was so mad at the fact that she didn't want to talk to me. I overacted and put us on a break, which was a huge mistake. I'm just glad that I went to go and get her back before anything serious happened.

But on the plane ride over, before I called my mom for advice, I couldn't help but think that I really lost her.  That's the moment I decided that if I got her back, I wanted to introduce her to my family. When I called my mom to ask for advice, her telling me that she wanted to meet her made it a lot easier to ask Liz the question. I'm just glad that she agreed.

"Well, I messed up with her. But I set things right and well... here we are." I said, looking at the two guys that were next to me.

"That's good, hey... while you are here we need to go see a football game or something. We could have guys day and then the girls could all get a pedicure or something." Greg said, making us all laugh.

Before anyone else could say anything Denise walked into the room, Theo on her hip. I can't believe how big he's gotten since the last time I saw him. Anyway, she told us that dinner was ready. We all got up and made our way into the kitchen. My mom went all out for this dinner. She really wants to make Liz like her. That's ironic, mostly because that's what Liz is doing.

I walked over to Liz, putting my hand on the small of her back. She smiled up at me and squeezed my arm before sitting down in the chair across from Denise. I sat down next to her, taking her hand and resting ours hands on her lap under the table. I know for a fact that she wouldn't want any PDA in front of my family. Which I honestly fine cute.

My mom and dad were at the head of the time, which reminded me of when they weren't divorced. Greg was next to Denise, and Theo was in a high chair next to Denise. My mom cut out the lasagna and the conversation was mainly about how many pieces each person wanted. After it was all served out we started eating. I'm glad I'm left handed and Liz is right handed, this way we could keep holding hands.

"So, how long have you two been together?" Mom asked, looking between the two of us.

Liz finished swallowing before answering, which I food pretty funny because she's never done that with me. She'd always just talk through whatever food was in her mouth. But I can't judge her, because I do the same exact thing.

"It'll be two years on December twelfth, actually." Liz said, looking over at me.

"Wow, that's a long time. How did you meet? Wasn't when Niall and his friends sang on the X Factor? Or wait, no. Didn't you all sing together?" My dad asked, directing our attention towards the other end of the table.

"Yeah, we sang with Jay Cee El on the X Factor, and well... we clicked." I said, deciding to not say the part where I stalked her a bit.

Well, it's not really stalking. Okay, maybe it is. Well, not really. I mean there are tons of videos of me and the rest of the guys on YouTube. A lot of people watch those videos and we don't consider that stalking. So when I watched all those videos of her, and voted for her, and whatnot... that wasn't stalking. It was being a dedicated fan.

"Where'd you take her on your first date?" Denise asked, looking over at me.

"Actually because it was Christmas time we had our first date of Skype. We both ordered Chinese and spent the whole night talking. But Liz here fell asleep right in front of me, so I just texted her goodnight and then turned the camera off." I said, remembering that date perfectly well.

It was after I left for London, and after she won. She was at her house, I think it was a day or two before Christmas. I had wanted to wait and take her someplace special, something that we wouldn't forget, but she insisted we should have a Skype date. I couldn't say no to her, and I still can't. So the next night, well early morning for me, I ordered Chinese- well I ordered it earlier and then warmed it up because all the stores would be closed. We talked for hours, we goofed off. It was really fun and honestly, I think that I'll remember it a lot better than if I had taken her to some high class fancy restaurant.

"That sounds so cute." Denise laughed.

The rest of the dinner went really well. Liz wouldn't let go of my hand for anything, I guess she was still a little nervous. Not that I'm complaining of course. The conversation varied from a few different things, but got interrupted when Theo threw his plate of cut up lasagna on to the floor. Yes, her was now starting to eat actual solid food. But lasagna is pretty soft, so it's not that bad for him to eat. Anyway, I found that extremely funny. Mom didn't because she had to pick it up, after telling Denise that she'd take care of it.

After we finished up eating Liz offered to help clean up the kitchen, and then gave me a look. I sighed and rolled my eyes, knowing that she's going to make me clean up too. It wasn't that bad I guess, especially because Liz and my mom were getting  along so well.

By the time we were finished it was almost nine o'clock. It surprised me at the time, but then again the plane landed around six and we didn't leave the airport till about a quarter to, and then we didn't get home till about seven fifteen. Then the time it took to make dinner, and then eat it. Well, let's just put it this way... it's been a long day.

"Alright, goodnight guys. It's really nice having you back here Niall." My mom said.

"It's good being back mom." I said, leaning down and kissing her cheek. I sent the rest of my family a smile before turning back to where Liz was waiting by the stairs.

She called out goodnight, getting some back in return. I took her hand and led her upstairs. God, I'm so tired. It's been such a long as day and all I want to do is go to bed. But I'm also excited about sleeping in my old bed again. Especially with Liz next to me.

"Do.. do you think that they are going to think badly about us sleeping in the same room?" Liz asked as she closed the door behind her.

"Nah, we've been together for almost two years now. I don't think they mind if we sleep in the same room." I said, walking over to the suitcase.

"Are they going to think we'll be having sex? I don't want them to think that." Liz said, making me laugh.

"Stop worrying so much, baby. They aren't going to think anything. C'mon, you want a massage? It'll help with your nerves." I said, looking up at her.

She debated on whether or not to agree, but eventually she did. Of course she would, I give excellent massages. I grabbed my green tee shirt and tossed it over to her. It's her favorite, I don't think I've worn it in a year now. She tore off the shirt she was wearing and I couldn't help but stare.

She was so beautiful and I wanted to show her how beautiful she was, right here and right now. But I can't because she wants to wait. Besides, I think that waiting until our wedding night would be a lot more special. I'd set up candles and roses and whatever else she would like. It would be absolutely amazing. I honestly can't wait for that night.

"Niall, you going to change?" Liz asked, snapping me out of my perverted thoughts. I nodded and stood up.

After I changed into my pajamas, which was really just a pair of black boxers. I sat down on my bed and Liz rolled over on her stomach. I lifted her shirt up till it was at her shoulders, realizing she had no bra on. I smiled to myself and started to massage her back.

A few minutes into it I asked if she liked it. But when I looked down at her she was asleep. I lowered her shirt and got off the bed, walking over to the light switch. After flipping it off, I climbed back into my old bed. It's a lot smaller than the one at our flat back in London. But I missed this bed and I missed sleeping in it.

Liz cuddled up to my side, practically sleeping on top of me. I wrapped my arms around her and smiled at the fact that even when she was asleep, she was a huge cuddler. I leaned down and kissed her forehead.

"Love you, baby."
