Chapter Thirty Four

Family of Three

The High Queen's royal crown glinted in the torchlight as she glided along the cool marble within the great hall of Cair Paravel. Her pink gown with silver embroidery draped along the floor and she did well to keep it hiked up in the front to keep from stepping on it and falling on her face in front of everyone.

She was a Queen, and Queen's do not fall on their faces during galas.

The music was absolutely booming as the great hall was filled with soft lighting and colorful fabrics as many of the guests were dancing with the music. The Monarchs of Narnia were attempting to establish diplomatic relations with the people of Calormen, a large country to the southeast of Narnia. Susan had planned gala after gala in their honor, and while Elizabeth was typically all for a royal gala, the festivities were the last thing on her mind right now.

Instead, the High Queen was busy searching around the grand room, weaving her way through the bright reds and yellows and the smooth blues and silvers. However, a young handsome Prince adorned in an excessive amount of bangles of every sort approached the High Queen, stopping her in her tracks hoping he could steal a word with her for a moment.

"Your Majesty!" The Prince bowed low at her feet but Elizabeth didn't even take a moment to look at him as she continued to search the room. "I was hoping you knew where Queen Susan is? I really would like to have a word with her," The Prince smiled expectantly at Elizabeth who finally stopped searching for a moment and gave the Prince an apologetic smile.

"I'm sorry, Prince Rabadash, but I have no idea where Queen Susan is at this moment. You may have better luck asking King Peter," Elizabeth said with false pity in her voice before catching a lock of brown hair. "Lucy!" Elizabeth graciously yelled before immediately being greeted by jubilant eyes as Lucy made her way over to them.

"Prince Rabadash, Queen Lucy" Elizabeth introduced as Lucy only smiled brightly at the Prince, grabbing the Prince's hand and shaking it enthusiastically to the point Elizabeth was worried she might actually manage to shake the Prince's crown off. "Perhaps Queen Lucy can help you find her sister," Elizabeth falsely smiled, practically prying Lucy's hand from the Prince's.

"I hope you're enjoying the gala," Lucy grinned in a soft, almost musical voice.

"If you'll both excuse me, I too am looking for someone and am having trouble finding them," Elizabeth quickly excused herself, vanishing before even waiting for a reply.

Only moments later, Elizabeth found Peter practically hiding on the dais, looking quite harassed as he sat upon his throne still smiling courteously at the giggling women at his side, no doubt each one vying for his attention as they watched him with eager, greedy eyes. Of course, it hardly came as a shock, lines of pretty, available girls always stood ready to try and entice Peter but unfortunately for all of them, there had never been any luck. As she made her way across the dance floor, Elizabeth was sure she caught a glimpse of Susan moving gracefully with some Carlomen lord and while she held a polite, dazzling smile on her face, Elizabeth knew all too well Susan was not actually paying any mind to her dance partner.

Elizabeth was in such a hurry and hardly paying attention that she ran into someone. She apologized and was greeted by an all too familiar face which simply swept her onto the dancefloor with a blur as she was greeted by the individual.

"You should really watch where you're going Liz, that could have been quite embarrassing," Edmund joked with his wife, smiling all gleefully as he gracefully guided her along the dancefloor with ease to which she just ignored his commentary.

"Ed, have you seen Caspian? I've been looking for him all night and I can't seem to find him anywhere," Elizabeth said with concern and Edmund got a guilty look on his face to which Elizabeth let out a sigh. "Where did you send him?" She asked sternly to which Edmund finally gave in.

"I let him go down to the beach, he was growing tired of all the festivities," Edmund replied guiltily to which Elizabeth's eyebrows shot up to the ceiling.

"Ed, you know that's a bad idea right before he goes to bed! That only stirs him up more and then it takes forever to get him to fall asleep," Elizabeth said annoyed.

"Oh common, he's seven years old. The boy will be fine, now just try and enjoy the moment," Edmund said, flashing her a smile trying to distract her as he leads her into a spin.

However, the King was quickly disappointed to find Elizabeth, spinning out of his control as she gripped his hand along with hers, pulling him away from the exuberant gala.

"Stop trying to change the subject," Elizabeth replied knowing him all too well as she harshly poked him in the chest. "You're coming along anyways, this party's going to be over soon," she stated to which Edmund followed in defeat as she dragged him with her, making their way out of the castle and on their way down to the beach.

Sure enough, there was little Caspian skipping rocks against the waves. The boy was quite small, didn't have that much muscle but he was certainly stronger than he looked. Height wise, the boy only came up to Elizabeth's stomach but for Edmund, he only reached his waist.

The boy contained a mixture of both of his parent's hair colors, was born with blonde hair like Elizabeth's but around five grew into a more brunette hair color. While it still wasn't nearly as dark as Edmund's, his hair certainly was not blonde anymore. Little Caspian did, however, retain Elizabeth's striking blue eyes. But the rest of him was a spitting image of Edmund.

The same sharp face, the round cheeks, the cute upturned button nose, even Edmund's eyebrows. Sometimes it shocked Elizabeth because she thought that Caspian looked so much like his father that there was no way he could also be hers. Even though he looked just like Edmund, the reason Elizabeth could pretty much justify Caspian was also hers was the fact that Caspian had most of her same mannerisms. He had a love for animals like his mom and loved to help others, the boy was also brilliant for a small seven-year-old like his Aunt Susan.

Elizabeth's maternal instincts, which were still kicked in, let out a sigh of relief once she laid eyes on the small boy. Edmund laid a reassuring hand on her shoulder and gave her a sweet kiss on her cheek. "I told you there was no need to worry," he said gently and she tried to keep the smile from her face. No matter how mad or upset she was, Edmund always was able to rub it off of her and sometimes it frustrated her how easily he was able to do that, but at the same time she loved him even more for it.

Elizabeth called out to their son who grinned from ear to ear when he saw them. "Mum!" He yelled with glee as he dropped the remaining rocks in his hands and ran over to them. He gave his mom a tight a hug and then a gleeful little poke to his father.

Edmund gave him a funny look. "Did you just poke me?" He asked while Caspian let out a laugh. Edmund then gave their son a daring look before grabbing him and throwing him up into the air before catching him and setting him back on the ground while the boy was just a fit of giggles.

Elizabeth shook her head at the two and still tried to hide her smile as she placed her hands on her hips sternly. "Caspian, you know better than to leave a party like that," she told the boy who hung his head low with a sad look on his face.

"I'm sorry mum," he said innocently and Edmund picked Caspian up and while holding him whispered something into the boy's ear. Caspian then smiled and leaned over to give Elizabeth a kiss on her cheek and hugged her neck. "It won't happen again," the boy promised and Elizabeth couldn't help but smile at the two of them.

"Oh what am I going to do with the two of you," she sighed to herself before motioning for the boys to head back to the castle since it was certainly past Caspian's bed time. Caspian clung to his dad's neck while Edmund took Elizabeth's hand in his and the three walked back up to the castle together.

Elizabeth and Edmund went into Caspian's room to tuck him in bed and needless to say, the whole room was bustling with activity.

"Caspian, please! You need to go to bed," Elizabeth begged while Caspian ran around shirtless in his shorts around the room with a tin hat and one of his shirts tied around his neck like a cape.

"Never!" He chanted as he picked up a staff and while running up to his dad, he pointed at his mom. "We must rid the evil Witch from Narnia and take it back for Aslan!" The boy chanted as he raised his staff high in the air just like his Uncle Peter did in the stories Elizabeth told him of the Battle of Beruna.

Elizabeth couldn't help but let out a laugh and shake her head. "Why am I always the Witch?" She asked with a tone of dread as she laughed at the boys and placed her hands on her hips.

"You're the only one who can perform magic, it only makes sense," Edmund reasoned as he joined forces with Caspian and they crouched behind the bed as they watched Elizabeth who was shaking her head at them. "All right, to secure the kingdom, we must rid her of her powers," Edmund instructed and Caspian laid low with him.

"How do we do that?" The boy asked listening carefully and full of focus.

"Why simple of course," Edmund said with raised eyebrows. "We find her weakness."

Edmund then turned to Caspian with his hand up to the boy's ear so Elizabeth could not see what he was telling the boy. Caspian noticed her eyes turning purple though and pointed his staff at her. "She is reading our minds to exploit our strategies!"

"After her!" Edmund chanted and Caspian ran on top of his bed as he ran over and jumped at Elizabeth who's eyes turned red as she lifted Caspian with her mind off the bed and across the room into a pile of pillows while he was in a fit of giggles. Edmund then came up behind her and grabbed her arms and held them behind her back. "I've got her sire!" Edmund hollered to Caspian who came running over. "Ger her while you still can!"

"Mum," Caspian said as he paused. "You're supposed to stab dad remember?"

"Oh right," Elizabeth said as she freed her arms from her captor and then pretended to stab Edmund who dramatically cried out and proceeded to collapse onto the bed.

"No!" Elizabeth then laughed as she pretended to beg once Caspian got a hold of her. The boy quickly begin to tickle his mom all over and Elizabeth fell under the struggle of composure as he tickled her. "Ahh!" She cried out as they all laughed and tumbled onto the bed while Caspian continued to tickle her. "You've got me! I surrender," Elizabeth cried out in defeat and Caspian finally stopped tickling her.

"Now you get to save dad mum!" Caspian announced and Elizabeth gave her son a strange look.

"So now I'm playing the Witch and myself?" Elizabeth asked confused.

"Of course mum! Like dad said, you're the only one who can use magic so it only makes sense of course," Caspian explained.

Elizabeth then gave her dramatic husband a tender kiss and Caspian yelled yuck as he covered his face with a pillow. "What's wrong buddy?" Edmund asked. "Can't handle how cute we are?"

"You guys are gross," Caspian declared as he uncovered his face and gave the two of them a gross expression which only caused them to laugh. "You didn't really save dad like that though did you mum?"

"No," Elizabeth said sadly. "But if I could go back in time that's how I would have done it," she said with a smile at Edmund who returned her same smile.

"We declare that the Long Winter is officially over! We are taking this land back for Aslan!" Caspian declared as he raised his staff regally pretending to ignore Elizabeth's comment.

Edmund just hugged her as he kissed her nose and she gave him a daring look. "What happened to you being the traitor? You're supposed to be on my side first," she joked with him.

Edmund gave her a coy smile. "Aslan's side is way better," he informed her.

"And there's sweets!" Caspian declared as he jumped on top of his parents and they all lay there smiling and laughing on the bed.

"All right you," Elizabeth finally said as she got off the bed and motioned for Edmund to get off as well. "It really is about time you went to bed."

"Aww but mum!" Caspian whined as Edmund scooped the boy up and tossed him over the covers while Elizabeth then preceded to tuck the boy in. "How about a bedtime story!"

"Well, which one am I going to tell?" Elizabeth said with a small laugh. "You've already heard the one about the Long Winter thousands of times and even started recreating the story!"

"What about the one with the creation of Narnia? The one your father used to tell you," he said innocently. "We never finished that story."

Elizabeth let out a small sigh in defeat as she sat down on the edge of his bed. "All right, but very quick and they you are going to bed." Caspian nodded in agreement and Elizabeth cleared her throat as she begin the story.

"My father, Digory Kirke, grew up with his Aunt Letty and Uncle Andrew who were siblings to his mum who was really ill. That was when my father met my mum, Polly Plummer, and quickly befriended her. Sometime, when they were about seventeen or so, Uncle Andrew made sets of rings that allowed their wearers to travel to other worlds of completely different universes by first passing through the Wood Between the Worlds.

"Now, the World Between the Worlds was the name given to a mysterious realm of portals that allowed magical travel between the worlds of Charn, Earth and Narnia, among numerous others. In order to use the portals a person must be touching one of the magical rings, these very rings were created by Digory's uncle. The rings are two types. Yellow rings transport a person from a world to the Wood. If a person on Earth touches a yellow ring, for example, they will disappear and appear in the pool that leads to Earth in the Wood. The green rings transport a person out of the Wood to a world. If a person in the Wood wants to go to Charn, for example, they step into the pool that leads to Charn while touching a green ring, and then materializes there. What determines the location in that word, where the traveler appears, is not always clear. Contact with the ring must be made by skin. Another feature of the rings is that the effect works like electricity, by chain of contact; you don't have to be touching a ring to be transported, merely touching someone who is in contact with one.

"The rings themselves were created from a magical dust. Uncle Andrew tricked Polly into trying a ring, then when she disappeared, he blackmailed Digory into going after her. Neither Uncle Andrew, who made the rings, nor Digory and Polly, who were tricked into trying them out, understood any of this. This resulted in Digory and Polly blundering into Charn, and then accidentally transporting Jadis back to Earth by the 'chain of contact' effect when she grabbed Polly's hair as they were leaving.

"The next time they used the rings they understood them better. After Jadis had caused a good deal of commotion on Earth, they used the 'chain of contact' effect to remove Jadis from Earth. They held hands while Digory grabbed Jadis' heel, and Polly touched her yellow ring. Unfortunately, the chain of contact unintentionally included Uncle Andrew, Frank the Cabman, his horse Strawberry, and even the cab. The contact between Narnia and Earth, was made by Strawberry the horse, who blundered into the first pool he saw because he was thirsty, which just so happened to lead to Narnia. They arrived on the very day of Narnia's birth."

"Wow!" Caspian exclaimed.

"Really cool right?" Edmund smiled at him and Caspian nodded vigorously.

"That's all for tonight though bud, it's way past your bedtime."

"Aww dad!" Caspian whined but Edmund and Elizabeth tucked him with a kiss on his forehead and turned his lights off before they too went to bed.

The next day, Elizabeth, Lucy, Susan, Edmund, Mr. Tumnus, and Caspian were all outside playing cricket. Well, the girls were chatting while the boys and a couple of other fauns were playing. Elizabeth wore a fine dress for the nice weather outside and she kept catching Edmund sneaking looks at her.

"Dad," Caspian groaned while he held the bat to the ground. "Stop getting distracted!" The boy reprimanded his father who turned back to his son with an apologetic smile.

"Sorry son! Get ready," he warned as he twirled the ball in his hand before tossing it towards Caspian. Caspian whacked the ball hard and the ball went sailing across the yard while Caspian took off for a base. The small boy beat Mr. Tumnus to it and was safe on first base.

Unfortunately, the game was cut short because Oreius came outside and gathered their attention. "Your Majesties," he called out and the Pevensies all turned to the centaur, their attention intact. "High King Peter has requested a war meeting, Mr. Tumnus you are required as well. It has to do with the Ettins giants."

The Pevensies all exchanged looks with frowns knowing this couldn't be good. These giants from the northern land had been stirring up problems for quite some time now. As they started to head inside, Caspian walked alongside his mother wanting to join.

"Caspian, you need to stay out here. Malaki can stay with you," she advised him but Caspian pouted.

"But I want to go with you guys! I need to attend these meetings so I can prepare myself for battle!" Caspian argued and Elizabeth let out a small laugh.

"No worries buddy, I don't think you'll be joining the fight anytime soon," she said as she ruffled his hair.

But Caspian did not share her judgment as he sulked back over into the yard. He then proceeds to pick up a rock and throw it at an innocent bunny hopping across the yard. Elizabeth's eyes widened when she saw what happened. "Caspian!" She scolded. "Why in the name of Aslan would you do that?"

Caspian didn't say anything but just shot his mother an angry look and Elizabeth frowned when she saw him. He had a look in his eyes that honestly frightened her. As bad as it was, it reminded her back to when she went through Edmund's memories fourteen years ago. The same look plastered on Caspian's face was the same look she had seen on Edmund's when he had first betrayed his siblings. But before Elizabeth could do anything about it, a faun came to make sure she was coming and she gave one last look of frustration towards Caspian.

"Young man, we will finish this discussion when I get back," she informed him before leaving with the faun.

This was something that was starting to occur more frequently in Caspian. Elizabeth wasn't quite sure if Edmund had seen it, and it wasn't something that they had discussed, but it was starting to really concern her. Caspian's temper and ambition would start to get the best of him and he would show a darker side that she never thought was possible in the small precious boy. Never-the-less, she wasn't sure what was causing it but she was sure she was going to get to the bottom of it soon.

Upon entering the room, the meeting had already begun without her. She found her seat beside Edmund and sat alongside him. "What took you so long?" Edmund whispered to her and Elizabeth shook her head.

"It's Caspian, we'll have to talk about it later," she said quietly as they turned their attention back to the meeting.

"For centuries, these indigenous northern Giants have attacked and raided areas at the northern edge of the Narnian Empire," Oreius announced to the room. Since he was the general, it was his responsibilities to give the background information behind potential conflicts and then Peter's job to give the potential reasons for going to war. "Travelers even brought back stories of the Ettins partaking in large-scale battles against explorers, warriors, and other Narnian settlers along the Northern Frontier."

"I think the explanation for why we need to go to war is all right there," Peter concluded. "These Giants have quarreled with us long enough, and it's about time we put an end to this."

A bunch of Narnians in the room nodded their heads in agreement. "King Peter," Quinten called out and the council turned their attention to the faun. "If such a war was to occur who would partake in this battle?"

"If I have an agreement, I would like to lead this battle alongside Elizabeth, if she would accompany me, along with Oreius and two-thirds of the Narnian Army," Peter stated and a centaur gasped in the back.

"Two-thirds? That's over half of the army!" The centaur exclaimed.

"Well if these Giants are as dangerous and powerful as Oreius has described and we will actually be declaring war on these Giants, two-thirds might not actually be enough," Elizabeth spoke up.

Susan let out a loud sigh and shook her head. "We are in the middle of a Golden Age, the last battle on our soil was almost ten years ago with the Witch's Castle. There has been peace over the land since then, I hardly see why war is necessary."

"Yes, and it is for that reason that I think we do need to go to war," Lucy declared. "These Giants are already threatening the peace of the kingdom and to keep it maintained we need to strike now while we can still somewhat maintain the element of surprise."

After the council voted, it was declared that Narnia would indeed go to war with the land Peter called Ettinsmoor, the region directly above Elizabeth's newly established boundaries. Peter and Elizabeth would be the ones to lead the battle, of course against Edmund's wishes.

The night before they left, Elizabeth was tucking Caspian into bed. "Mum, can you tell me the rest of the story since I don't know when you'll be back to finish it?"

Elizabeth let out a sigh as she smiled down at him knowing she was going to give in. "Of course sweetie. But then it's bedtime!"

"Of course," Caspian exclaimed excitedly awaiting the rest of the story.

"So, because Digory had been the one who had brought Jadis, a great evil, into Narnia on the day of its birth, the world's creator, Aslan, sent him on a journey to help protect the land from her. He was sent to find an apple from a sacred tree, which would protect Narnia centuries to come. Upon his arrival at the Garden of Youth, which was an isolated orchard that was enclosed by high walls of green turf, he found that Jadis had followed him there, and had already eaten one of the tree's fruits, thus making herself immortal. She tried to persuade him not to plant the tree that would lead to her banishment; first by encouraging him to eat the fruit himself and that they could control Narnia together. Second, to give the fruit to his dying mother instead since it would cure her of her illness.

"Fortunately, Digory was able to resist both temptations, and even rebuffed her angrily. After he returned with the apple, Digory planted it, as was instructed, and it grew into a magical tree called The Tree of Protection. It was a beautiful magical tree that bore silver apples and was planted in the Lantern Waste. The tree did as it was meant to, by protecting Narnia for up to nine hundred years, keeping Jadis out during all that time. Unfortunately, the Tree was eventually destroyed by some unknown cause. Some even say it simply fell down during a great storm, while others believe that Jadis herself was somehow able to dispose of it. After the death of this tree, there were no more Silver Apples in Narnia, and without them Jadis was finally able to return, to conquer Narnia and impose the Long Winter. She started her Winter Age to prevent any further magical trees from being grown.

"For his bravery, and his defiance of Jadis, Aslan gave Digory a piece of the fruit from the first tree, to take back with him to Earth, to give it to his ill and bedridden mother. The fruit healed her of her illness, and she lived to a ripe old age. When the fruit was eaten to its core, Digory took the core and planted it in his yard. The tree grew just as well as its sister tree in Narnia, and seemed to have a link to the other tree - it sometimes moved when there was no wind . . . at least not in London."

Caspian's jaw dropped at the mention of the wind. "What happened to the tree?" He asked curiously.

"The tree was eventually blown down and its wood was used to build a wonderful Wardrobe," Elizabeth answered sweetly and Caspian looked disappointed.

"The great and mighty tree ended up becoming a simple Wardrobe?" Caspian asked.

"Yes, now enough questions. You agreed you'd go to bed if I told you the story," Elizabeth said and Caspian let out a sigh as he curled up under the covers. "Night love," Elizabeth said softly as she kissed the top of his forehead and went to turn off the lights.

"Mum," Caspian called out softly and Elizabeth paused before she turned off the lights turning to look at her son. "How come I've never seen Aslan before?"

Elizabeth's mouth dropped slightly as she had no idea what to say. "I'm not sure honey," she said gently but Caspian frowned.

"I thought he practically raised you, so if you stayed with him for all those years, how come he's never come to visit and I've never even seen him?"

"Perhaps he's too busy," she said trying to assure him it was nothing to worry about but Caspian got a scowl on his face.

"Or maybe he's not as miraculous as everyone makes him out to be," he said with an annoyed expression.

Elizabeth frowned and she gave her son a scolding look. "Caspian, we do not speak of Aslan like that, understand?"

Caspian didn't say anything and just nodded as he rolled his eyes and then rolled over in bed. Elizabeth didn't know what else to do and just turned off the lights before leaving so that Caspian could sleep soundly. But Elizabeth couldn't help but be shocked by the way their son had reacted towards Aslan.

Elizabeth and Peter were gone for almost six months as they went out on a formal expedition to secure Narnia's normal borders and make the boundary lines official between their own imperial lands and those of Ettinsmoor, the Ettins' own loosely independent state, as Elizabeth herself deemed it. Peter, Elizabeth, and the royal Army of Narnia repelled large communities of Ettins, forcing them to retreat higher north, well past the Narnian boundaries into the vast land that King Peter recognized as the nation of Ettinsmoor.

While Peter and Elizabeth were gone, Lucy, Edmund, and Susan tried to continued the effort of establishing diplomatic relations with Calormen. Prince Rabadash wanted to marry Queen Susan and actually courted her heavily during his time at Cair Paravel. She even returned to visit Tashbaan, the capital of Calormen, and Edmund and Mr. Tumnus accompanied her, leaving Lucy as the only monarch ruling Narnia in their absence. The city was surrounded by a great wall that rose out of the river. It was reached by long bridges on both banks, providing the only way to travel over the river for many miles. During their time at Tashbaan, Susan begin to have doubts and Prince Rabadash hinted that he might hold the Narnian delegation prisoners until she consented, or even outright force her to marry him. Fortunately, Mr. Tumnus had a plan and the Narnians were able to escape Tashbaan by night on board their ship.

Enraged by their actions, Rabadash demanded his father invade Narnia, but the Tisrock had good relations with Queen Elizabeth and also feared the Pevensies because he believed they wielded powerful magic, due to the White Witch being slain. He also had heard the rumors of Elizabeth even containing such powerful magic, and so he refused. However, Rabadash refused to give up and conceived a plan to lead a raid to conquer Archenland, Narnia's ally. After conquering Archenland, he would then use it as a staging post to later conquer Narnia and capture Susan.

The Narnian's however were warned and when Rabadash arrived at Anvard, an army of Narnians and Archenlanders were there waiting for him, ready for battle. They all fought in the Battle of Anvard, in which the Calormenes were defeated in a rather humiliating way. Rabadash challenged King Edmund to a duel, but before he could even start, he had to jump off a wall to reach him, and the back of his shirt got caught on a hook in the wall, leaving him to dangle there rather pathetically. Rabadash was then taken prisoner alongside the surviving Carlormenes.

At this point, the Ettinsmor War was over and Peter and Elizabeth had returned. Rabadash was brought to trial before the monarchs of Narnia and Archenland. During this time, Aslan appeared and confronted him about his aggression. The lion gave him able opportunity and chance for redemption, but Rabadash was unrepentant, and continued to bluster, threatening to never rest until he had Susan, even if he had to wage war on the entire world.

"The hour has struck," Aslan announced and as punishment, he turned Rabadash into a donkey.

After the trial, Elizabeth and Aslan were taking a walk outside while Edmund and Caspian were taking a walk in the gardens.

"My dear child," Aslan said in a grave tone. "You did precisely what I warned against."

Elizabeth let out a grave sigh not really having an answer. "Aslan, I really am sorry. By the time I even knew that it had happened it was too late. I wasn't going to take a life after having just created one."

"I'm not advising you should have killed him, I'm just saying I don't think you understand the weight that you have just strained on Narnia," Aslan informed her but she only frowned.

"I don't understand," she said slowly. "What are you trying to hint at?"

But before he could explain, the pair saw Edmund and Caspian off in the distance hand in hand. As soon as Caspian laid eyes on the great lion his eyes grew huge and he threw his father's hand away as he ran towards Elizabeth and Aslan before Edmund could stop him. Once Caspian approached the lion he had a huge smile on his face. "Aslan! Wow! I never thought I'd get to met you!" The young boy exclaimed.

Aslan so much as took one look at the boy before turning to Elizabeth and Edmund and nodding his head towards them. "I'm sorry, but I've already stayed later than I should have. I'm afraid I must be going," he said before strictly leaving them and heading off.

Caspian looked dumbfounded as he watched the lion leave. "He certainly doesn't seem all wonderful and amazing to me, I bet I could make a better figure than him one day," the boy said with his head held high.

Elizabeth and Edmund exchanged stunned looks as they looked back down at their little boy. What in the world had gotten into this child?

A/N:

Talk about a long Hunger Games or Harry Potter chapter for crying out loud. 5,260 words!! 15 pages!!! Good havens.

QUESTION!!! Who is your favorite relationship? Not necessarily romantically, but just in general? Like Malaki and Elizabeth, Lucy and Elizabeth, Mr. Tumnus and Lucy, etc.

Then again, I should probably be asking your thoughts on lil babe Caspian. Whata stud am I right? Do you think he'll have Elizabeth's same magic talents or Edmund's fierce skill with a blade?

However, the most pressing question, is do you think Elizabeth will be returning back home to England? Then again, if she ever did go back would she be able to fit back in since she's been gone for so long? But if she left with the others, would Caspian also go to the real world even though he's not actually from that world?

My my my, so many questions!!

Looks like you'll have to keep reading to answer some of them ;)
