Dickhead whirled around to face me. "It was one of your people," he snarled. The three men looked over at me uncertainly and I could see that they were beginning to side with dickhead.

"Why would my people even do this?" I retorted and resisted the urge to have my arm whip out and slap him across the face. Even though my left hand wasn't the strongest that didn't mean that I couldn't pack in a good punch, let alone a good slap.

"Maybe you guys got tired of following our rules here and just wanted to take over!"

I couldn't contain the short giggle that escaped me then. Did he even realize how ridiculous he was sounding? I could see that he other men were beginning to see that Dickhead had no actual solid facts to prove his point. "Look, this is the only place we have right now. We've been out in the world and we know what it's like. This is as best as it can fucking get. Why would we want to ruin that? AND there are way more of your people here than mine. My group is nothing compared to this one."

"She's right." one of the men muttered and began to walk slowly back to the body.

I locked gazes with the British guy for what seemed like an eternity and then he shook his head. "You are not going to win this." He angrily stomped away but not before he spat at my feet.

"What's his problem?" I laughed uneasily.

The man who had spoken up before looked back at me as the others went closer to the body. "Alec is just like that, he doesn't mean anything by it. He's the only British guy here. I guess he just gets lonely." To me that made no sense what so ever. So the British guy was just, lonely?

"Well why does he love to pick on me so much?" I asked curiously.

"Who knows," the guy said with a shrug.

I looked over at the dead body on the floor and noticed how the blood was beginning to dry on his skin. He was pale and his eyes were unseeing. His face, frozen in terror. I walked closer and stared down at him. Why is it that we hadn't even heard him scream? His eyebrow twitched, or was I imagining it? Just then we began to hear the low groans and the zombies arm shot up and went for my leg. The zombie arms gripped my leg and then it's eyes looked into mine. I clumsily went for the gun at my side. I cursed under my breath and then held the zombie back down with my  other leg. I bet I looked retarded in this position. But hello, I had no other arm to work with.

I aimed the gun with my left hand, then fired.

I crawled into bed that night with the face of that young kid engraved in my mind. Questions began to plague me. How had the zombie gotten into the camp? Why exactly did they bring it into the camp? Why did Alec dislike me so much? Whose pendant was Wyatt wearing? I sighed and then rolled over to my side, missing Roberts warmth. They hadn't allowed us to sleep together in the same room. Those were the rules.

He said he was going to try and apply for a room. Apply for a room! Ha, I never thought we'd be saying something like that. Something that seemed like it was some what normal.

Tonight, I didn't want to dream. As I closed my yes, that's all I wished for. A night where I had no nightmares.

My eyes flew open and then I flinched when I saw the sunlight streaming in through the window. What was it that had woken me? A sound maybe? I instinctively grabbed a weapon near me and got off of the bed slowly. I heard the noise again and realized it was the sound of a horse. Crossbone. I jogged over to one of the windows and looked out over the town hall. In the center of the town there was a group of horses, among them was Crossbone. I smiled and then realized that she was being difficult.

I quickly looked around for a change of clothes and went outside. When I got there I noticed that people had gathered around to watch Alec as he tried to calm her.

"That's not going to work." I laughed as I came up by his side. He was trying to force Crossbone into submission by using carrots. A thing about Crossbone was that she had trust issues.  As soon as Crossbone saw me she began to behave and I smirked. It felt so good to rub something in his face. My horse loved me, not him.

"there there girl," I cooed and began to pet her. She bumped her head against mine, greeting me.

"This is your horse?" Alec asked incredulously. I nodded and then looked over at him.

"Yeah, why?"

"Well, she looks well trained, I didn't think you had any hint of sophistication what so ever."

"You know what Alec? Go take a fucking hike."

He looked over at me startled. "How did you know my name?"

"Well some dude told me." I replied and then looked over at his face. He was staring at me weird, almost as if deeply confused and he looked; did he looked flattered? I couldn't contain myself from laughing. "Don't flatter yourself man, I didn't ask anyone for your name."

He looked at me for a moment longer, scowled and then walked away. I shrugged and stayed with the horses a bit longer.

I left after a while. My stomach was beginning to rebel against me.

I walked over to where I remembered the kitchen was and then noticed that it was completely empty. What the?

"You missed breakfast didn't you?" I heard Dianne say from behind me. I turned around and smiled slowly.

"Yes." my voice cracked a bit at the end.

"I knew you would miss it, so I saved you some food, come on," she laughed. She led me to a backroom, which then I discovered was the kitchen. There was a plate of food and my mouth began to water. I took a bite out of the bread and smiled like a little kid.

"Thanks, Oh I love you so."

"I know, you would be lost without me," Dianne joked. I swallowed another bite of my bread and then looked over at her.

"Have you seen Sam?" I asked.

"No, I haven't seen her since yesterday."

Crap. Where the hell had she gone? The roof.

"Right, right." I said and then began to think of some excuse to get away from Dianne to get to the roof. Dianne looked closer at my face and then smirked.

"Whatever you're planning on doing, don't worry. I'll cover for you."

"What are you talking about?" I scoffed and then looked guiltily down at the table.

"I can see you're planning something. Your eyes are flickering everywhere and you seem to be planning an escape route."

Dianne knew me to well. I smiled guiltily. Her lips quirked up for a bit and then she turned away from me.

"Well look at how white the walls are. Why, I've completely forgotten everything at the moment and wouldn't notice if anyone left because I'm looking at the wall."

It took me a moment to realize what she was saying and then I bolted out of my seat with the bread in my hand. I couldn't help but laugh as I walked away. She decided to act as if she was distracted by the wall! The wall, of all the other things she could have chosen!

Now my mission began.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I walked outside of the building and then stared upwards at the roof. I had to shield my eyes from the suns harsh light and then I couldn't take it anymore. I quickly surveyed my surroundings and then yelled lightly.

"SAM."

I continued to stare up and just when I was about to yell again I saw a head lean over the side of the building. Atleast now I knew where Sam was.

"Go away," she yelled back and disappeared from view. How the hell was I supposed to make it up there?

I felt a small breeze hit me and then felt someones prescience at my side. I flinched a little bit but knew that once I turned I would be looking at Rick. It had been a while since I had seen him, the doctors had been fascinated with him and were testing. Since Sam was an accidental case she didn't quite have the same DNA as Rick.

"She's still being difficult?" he asked me. I simply nodded and continued to stare up.

"Is there any way-" I started and then Rick interrupted me.

"I'll take you up there."

He flung me over his shoulder and I couldn't help but let out a little scream. Then I felt air rushing through my hair and I began to feel lightheaded. Then, I was on the roof facing a very sad looking Sam with my hair plastered to my face.

"Why'd you even bring her up here?" Sam mumbled grumpily to Rick.

"So she could talk some sense into you! She's the only one you'll listen to."

They looked at each other a moment longer and then Rick disappeared. Sam sighed and then looked over at me.

"I feel like I shouldn't even exist anymore."

I ran over to her and embraced her. "Don't you dare fucken say that!" I whispered fiercely "Those ladies down there are scared, and they have the right to be. They haven't seen much of the world and how it is now. We have. We know what it's like and what those creatures are capable of. You are nothing like that, you hear?" I said and then held her head back so I could look into her eyes. "They're just pussy's as you like to put it. They can't handle what you are. And shit, their kids find you fucken fascinating! Maybe they're just jealous that you're cool to the kids."

She smiled and her eyes watered.

"You've got the love" she whispered.

"I need to see me through," I whispered back somberly.

"Gosh, Rick was right" Sam laughed. "You always do know what to say to make me feel better." Then she walked over to the edge of the roof to look over.

"You know from here, if I concentrate with my hearing and vision. I can sort of see and hear some zombies in the distance."

"Wow," I breathed and walked over to her side. From the roof with my crappy human vision I could see the Vegas sign in the distance. It was pretty hard to miss.

"Man, the world ended before I could go to a casino and try to win some money." I joked.

"Maybe it's not too late to visit a casino." she replied with a mischievous grin beginning to form on her face.

"Oh no no no, we are not going to a casino in a city filled with zombies." I laughed uneasily.

She smiled and looked away.

"Want to go find our boys?" I asked to break the silence.

"yeah, I could sure go for some luvin right about now."

"Bleh" I laughed and pretended to vomit.

"Oh, as if you aren't craving some luvin right about now."

I just smiled.
