What have I done?
I lost myself...
I nearly killed Brenan...
But he was about to kill Piflin...
I showed myself in front of the entire planet of Jaspen...
They all hate me. I know it. I'm a monster.
Azalea drifted through space. She had a bubble of oxygen around her head so she could breathe.
She left Jaspen without thinking. But now she couldn't go back. They would be waiting to toss her into a cell.
She remembered Piflin screaming her name for help.
I saved him...
But I lost myself...
She curled up into a ball and continued to float aimlessly.
Why can't I just do things right? Now my friends think I'm a monster.
And I can't see Keith anymore.
Her head hit something hard.
"Ouch-"
She looked face to face with a steel wall. She was surrounded by steel walls.
She was in a cell.
"No!", she screamed. She beat against the walls, but they didn't budge. She was too weak to break them.
"Wondering why you're here?", a deep voice asked.
Azalea growled.
"Why am I here?"
Ferin paced around her, his bright eyes highlighting his high cheekbones. His sharp toothed sadistic smile stretched across his face.
"I can't get a break, can I?", Azalea groaned sarcastically.
Ferin clicked his tongue.
"You had the equal opportunity to complete your assignment. So now your due is shortened. Tomorrow I'm coming."
Azalea narrowed his eyes at him.
"You're bluffing."
He sneered, "I'm not, truthfully. I'm tired of waiting."
He laughed.
"I'm coming to end you tomorrow. I'm sure dearest little sister will be glad to not be the focused of my wrath for once."
Ferin gestured to a heap in a corner.
Azalea recognized it immediately.
"Starlin!"
Starlin was limp, her face pale and crossed with torment.
"Be prepared Korraine ", he threatened darkly, "You won't survive."
