One wish

You own me

Tyler gets visited by a genie. He wishes for Ethan, who hates him but is the love of his life, to be his. However, his wish is taken literally and next day Ethan sits before his door with a collar saying "Tyler".

Tyler looked out of the attic's window. It was early in the morning – the sky was still a little dark. But he could clearly make out the figure of his neighbour, Ethan Nestor. He was small and cute, with blue hair and eyes and a bright smile. He always was happy – and that made Tyler happy.

Ethan was leaning against the streetlamp, talking to his friend Aki. "How's it going with Joey?" he asked, nudging her side. She sighed. "He's still as oblivious as ever. I literally asked him on a date – he just went "oh yeah seems cool. I wanted to go to that movie already." Ethan chuckled, covering his mouth with his hand. "Yeah, that's just like him. He's so dense, it's insane." Aki nodded in agreement. They hugged quickly before walking the opposite directions.

Tyler felt jealousy burn in his stomach. He was crushing extremely hard on his neighbour – he had liked him for about two years now. He had only lived here for two years. The moment he saw him he felt the unknown feeling in his stomach.

He just assumed he was sick.

He walked outside to take out the trash and maybe get a small talk with Ethan. "Hey Ethan," he greeted happily. The smaller boy turned around, rolling his eyes when he saw the familiar face.

Oh, one more thing, Tyler knew Ethan hated him.

"Hey Tyler," he mumbled, turning around again. An awkward silence hung in the air. Tyler knew Ethan wouldn't be the one to start a conversation, and decided to walk back home.

Tyler sighed and walked towards the attic. Time to clean some shit up. But he knew he would end up reading some kind of book or just fall asleep. He literally couldn't clean – he got distracted too easily. And if it wasn't because of the distracting things in his house he somehow didn't know existed, then it was because of his neighbours perfect distracting ass.

He opened an old looking book carefully, blowing the dust of the red and golden cover. Make one wish it said in fancy curly golden letters. He opened it and started coughing because of the dust. It all gathered up and took the form of a man. He wasn't as tall as Tyler – rather small – and had flaming red hair.

The red head coughed, waving with his hand. "Sheesh, that book hasn't been used in quite some time." He sighed. "Hi," he casually greeted. Tyler stared. "What?" the man questioned, as if it was the most normal thing for a man to appear in someone's attic out of dust.

"Who are you?" "Oh. How rude of me. I'm Mark," he introduced himself. "Basically I'm a homeless dude who has the power to fulfil one wish of whoever opens the book." He eyed Tyler. "Which I guess is you." Mark held his hands on his back, slowly walking in circles around the taller man. "So...What do you want? Money? Popularity? Power?" He chuckled. "Love? Sex?" Tyler shivered. His thoughts immediately wandered to Ethan. Could he...make him fall in love? He shook his head. He wanted Ethan to fall for him naturally.

"We can't change someone's feelings, if that's what you're thinking," Mark woke him up out of his thoughts. "You can ask for someone to fall in love with you, but we can't guarantee. If she...he...likes you, they will be quicker to tell." Tyler had to hold back his laughter. A random man used a magic trick to appear at his house, and told him he could make a wish. It was all so stupid.

"Well I guess I want the love of my life to be mine." He mentally was laughing so hard that it wasn't even funny anymore. Mark's brown eyes darkened to black, making it seem like he didn't have a iris at all. He smirked darkly. "To be yours huh? And the love of your life. You know it's not necessarily that pretty neighbour of your, don't you?" Tyler nodded calmly. He was freaking out on the inside – how did this man know? But on the other side, it was pretty obvious. It's always easy to spot it when someone is so head over heels for someone. "I know. Now, do your magic and get the fuck out of my house."

Mark smirk became wider. "Of course." He closed his eyes and mumbled some unintelligibly words. He looked up at Tyler. "Your wish is fulfilled," he said, bowing with a wave his right arm and putting his left leg back. "Farewell." And with that having said he disappeared.

He sighed. Like it was going to work anyway. Ethan would never be his. He was just about to sink down on his couch with his laptop and some food when the doorbell rang. He opened the door, surprised to see Ethan standing. Why would someone that despised him so much come visit him? The smaller boy grabbed him by the collar and pushed him against the wall. Tyler was surprised to say the least – although he didn't dislike how close Ethan was to him. "What is the meaning of this?" the blue haired boy hissed. He tugged at a blue collar around his neck. Tyler frowned. Why was he wearing a collar? "Oh," he said. "So you're into that. That's cool. I'm not one to judge." "No you idiot!" Ethan screamed. And oh boy – he was loud. Tyler would need to do a hearings test after his neighbour left. Ethan was seriously pissed off now. He tugged the opening of his sports shirt a little lower, showing a nametag saying "Tyler's property".

Confusion didn't even begin to describe Tyler's feelings. He felt indeed confused, surprised, and even slightly happy but he dismissed that feeling immediately. Ethan didn't want it – so he wouldn't force it on him.

"Whatever," Ethan growled. "I'm out of here." Tyler followed him as he walked through the hallway. He suddenly stopped. "What is it?" Tyler secretly hoped he didn't want to leave, but he knew that wasn't the reason. "I can't get out. Something is stopping me."

Ethan was sulking on the couch and Tyler was walking back and forth through the room. "Hey Ethan...I-I guess we don't h-have much of a choice but would like to stay in the other room?" Ethan just stared. "What else can we do?"

Tyler led the smaller boy up to the empty room, next to his own. "S-so you'll sleep here," he brought out. Ethan nodded, laying down on his bed. "Thank you," he said, barely audible. Tyler smiled. Maybe he wasn't so hateful after all.

Ethan closed his eyes. How did he even end up like this? He ran his fingers over the blue collar, he could feel the words engraved in the silver nametag. Tyler's property... Is that what he had become? The pet of his next door neighbour? He had tried everything, cutting the collar, trying to pull it apart, everything. But it wouldn't come off. He bit his lip. He didn't feel like Tyler was lying when he said he didn't know how it happened.

He didn't notice it, but Ethan had fallen asleep. He woke up from knocking on the door. For a moment he didn't know where he was until he remembered the actions that happened previous day. "Ethan, I made pancakes, uh, you can come downstairs if you want," Tyler's low voice stuttered from behind the door. Ethan smiled a little. It seemed that he was still nervous around his blue haired neighbour. It was kind of cute actually, how shy and nervous he was. He shook his head. Where the hell did that come from?

He sat down on the chair. Tyler served his plate with the pancakes on it. The silence was awkward and uncomfortable. "Hey..." Tyler said softly without looking up from his plate. He had his hands on his lap and his head bowed. "I'm really sorry. I don't know how this happened or how we can stop it...I wish I did, really." Ethan felt a little bad. He didn't exactly like him – but he didn't dislike him either. He just found him a little weird. He barely talked to anyone except for the "hi Ethan" every day when he took out the trash, making him known as the "neighbourhood freak". But he was actually really nice.

"Hey," Ethan said with a small smile. "We just have to make the best out of it. I'm sure we'll find a resolution sooner or later. Cheer up – it's not your fault." He had no idea why he was suddenly so nice to the older man. It wasn't like they were friends...were they? Ethan got way too distracted by his thoughts. "Thanks for the pancakes. They were great," he commented, bringing his plate to the kitchen and walking upstairs to his room.

Tyler sighed as Ethan went up the stairs again. I need to do something about this. He didn't want Ethan to be unhappy – especially when he was the cause of it. Yes, Tyler wasn't stupid. He already connected Ethan's collar and his wish. Mark had taken the wish literally, "I want him to be mine" resulting in the collar and how he couldn't leave the house. He looked at the clock, surprised to find out it was already evening. How did the day go this fast? All he did was thinking. Did he fall asleep? Probably.

He stood up with a groan, stretched and walked up the stairs. "Hey, Ethan?" he asked through the door, surprised he didn't stutter. "Hmm?" it sounded from the other side. "Would you like to watch a movie or something? Maybe go out to the shops or something?" The door opened and Ethan stood in the door opening, ruffled hair and Tyler's clothes (since he didn't have any with him when he got stuck), which were way too big for him. He used the clothes as a pyjama, his shoulder was revealed because the neckline was way too large and all you could see from his hands were his fingertips. Tyler's breath got stuck in his throat. Too cute.

"I can't go outside, remember?" Ethan said, his voice showing of how sleepy he was. He had probably taken a nap, just like Tyler. Tyler woke up from his thoughts. "I thought, since you are stuck to me, maybe it's that you can't be far from the place I am," he explained, trying hard not to think of Ethan in "boyfriend" clothes. Said boy looked up in thoughts for a moment. "We could try."

Tyler handed Ethan a red scarf. "Use it to hide your collar. We don't want people to think weird things." Ethan smiled and thanked him softly. He put on the scarf –Tyler's heart melted again – and covered half his face with it. It smells...warm... It wasn't an unpleasant smell, he decided after he inhaled the scent to breath. He blushed, realizing what he was thinking, and was glad the scarf covered his face.

Ethan was extremely nervous when he opened the door. What if it didn't work? Would he be stuck here forever? Inside this house. With Tyler. He bit his lip. "Tyler, I'm scared," he said softly. Tyler just smiled sweetly, taking Ethan's hand in his. "Don't be. It'll be alright – you told me that yourself. Now let's find out if this can." Tyler decided to say nothing about how proud he was that he was finally holding hands with the boy of his dreams.

Tyler pretty much dragged the boy out of his house – never thought he would do that – and together they walked across the streets. Tyler looked satisfied down at their hands. Ethan still didn't let go, and he wasn't complaining. Ethan suddenly let go and Tyler already missed his hands. The boy sprinted towards the end of the streets, until he bumped into something invisible. Tyler instantly felt bad again. But instead of looking disappointed, Ethan got up and spun around in circles, the biggest smile on his face. "I'm free!" he yelled. The smile on Tyler's face just faded slightly.

"That was amazing," Ethan panted yet screamed as soon as he came running towards Tyler. "Good. Let's go home now?" Tyler blushed when he realized he referred to his house as "home". Ethan didn't seem to mind however. "Yeah, I'm cold." And indeed, Ethan's face was paler than normally and the cold made a blush on his cheeks.

Tyler and Ethan entered the house, sighing from happiness as soon as the warm air embraced them. They looked at each other and immediately started laughing. It wasn't particularly funny, they just felt like laughing. They didn't stop laughing until their stomachs hurt. "You want to watch a movie or something?" Tyler suggested. Ethan nodded, rubbing his eyes.

While Ethan was getting warm and cosy on the couch in one of Tyler's blankets, the taller man went to the kitchen to make warm chocolate. As soon as he was out of sight, he sat down on the kitchen corner. He put his hand over his heart which wouldn't stop racing. He smiled, a blush crawling up to his cheeks. He was soooo in love.

He returned with two mugs, filled with warm chocolate and whipped cream. He smiled when he saw Ethan curled up in his blanket, asleep. Tyler ruffled his hair and picked him up, bridal style and carried him to the spare room. He smiled when he saw how peaceful he looked, but that smile faded quickly. He pressed his lips softly to Ethan's forehead. "Goodnight," he said, and closed the door behind him.

He walked up the attic and opened the book. "Mark, get your butt over here," he commanded when the redhead didn't appear immediately. "Calm down," the familiar voice said. "I was on a date, I need time too." "I need to undo the wish." Mark smirked. "Why? Don't you like it? Your cute next door neighbour, being your little kitten?" Tyler shivered. "I'm not kinky like that. It hurts him – I want him to be happy. Mark awe'd. "S'cute. But I can't undo wishes." Tyler bit his lip. "Then get into the book, and don't make dates because someone's gonna call you soon." The redhead growled. "Sure, sure."

Tyler put a note on the book. "Read this," it said. He put the book next to Ethan's bed.

Ethan woke up, immediately noticing the book from the corner of his eyes. "Read this." Ethan shrugged; probably something Tyler picked for him. He opened the book. Immediately a man with red hair appeared in the room. "Yo, you must be the guy Tyler told me about. I'm Mark – here to fulfil one wish," he said, bowing. Ethan was stunned. A wish? Tyler walked into the room. "Do it. Use the wish to destroy the collar." He looked down, as he didn't want his eyes to meet Ethan's. Ethan took a deep breath. "I want the collar gone."

Mark bowed again, holding the collar in his hand. "Pleasure doing business. Now I got to go back to Amy. We're going on a date again," he announced proudly, disappearing. Ethan was frozen. "What the fuck just happened?"

Ethan bit his lip, standing slightly out of the door. "See you, I guess?" Tyler smiled, although Ethan noticed it was fake. "Of course. We're neighbours after all." "Yeah...bye." "Later..." Ethan bit his lip again. He stood on his tiptoes, quickly and softly pressing his lips against Tyler's. "Bye," he said, running away while covering his face, leaving a smiling Tyler behind.

-The next day-

"Really? He finally asked you out?" Ethan beamed to Aki. She smiled brightly. "He was so fucking dense. I almost gave up." "Glad you didn't. I ship it." The boy made a heart with his hands, quickly hugging his friend before she left.

"Hey Ethan," Tyler greeted, the bag in which his trash was collected hanging over his shoulder. "Hey Tyler," Ethan replied enthusiastically. "Sooo...this is a bit awkward to ask here right now," the taller man started. He had put down the bag and faced Ethan. "Would you like to go on a date with me?" Ethan smiled brightly. "I would love to," he said, connecting their lips.

A/N: So that was a thing. Ye. I also got some idea when I was fixing my bike, idk how they were connected to that activity but please say if you see some potential in any of them.

1. Two lovers – one poor and one wealthy – die together in an accident. The wealthy one bribes Death to reincarnate them together.

"Of course," he said, a white toothed grin appearing from under his black hood. "But, you won't remember each other. It's the question if your new lives will fall in love – it depends on them."

2. Death, Tyler, wants a pet to amuse him because he's always sad. He randomly chooses Ethan: but Ethan is a sad boy.

The boy screamed as he felt a cold hand on his neck. "Whoa, so noisy. You're no fun at all." Ethan panted heavily. The touch had been cold and dead – yet...he had enjoyed it? "Why should I be fun?" The man took off his hood revealing a very handsome face. He smirked. "Because, dear Ethan, you don't want to die. I'm your only chance on surviving."

Apperantly I think a lot about death when I'm fixing my bike

Yah. That's it. Also, no one wants an activity for 3k reads? remember, you can ask me anything, whether it's personal or connected to the story. If you ask it to a character, say it and "that character" will answer.

Rob out *grabs dessert* it's midnight but I deserve it.
