Sometimes things are easy and sometimes things are hard. Waking up in the morning was one of the things that was hard for Eira. She most definitely didn't like to awakened from her sleep. It was very precious to her and she got even more moody about it now that she was pregnant.

So, when she was awoken by Klaus peppering her face with kisses, she pushed him away sluggishly with her arms. She didn't really push him, though, she couldn't. He was the Original hybrid, the only way she was pushing him is if he allowed himself to be pushed away.

And he didn't. He stayed hovering over her, waiting for her. She blinked her eyes a couple times, groaning in the process because she wanted to go back to sleep. Once she was awake a bit, she looked up at him and huffed. He just smirked down at her. He smirked.

That was the wrong thing to do.

She huffed and turned on her side, away from looking up at him, "I'm going back to sleep. Which means you need to go someplace else and stop bothering me."

"I'm bothering you. All I'm doing is kissing you. That's a bother, now?" Klaus asked, baffled.

Eira hummed and nodded her head on her pillow, her eyes closing again. Klaus rolled his eyes, but he kissed her forehead before getting out of the bed. Eira fell back asleep again once she wasn't disturbed.

Eira awoke again much later. Her eyes blinked multiple times and she laid in bed for a moment before unwrapping herself from the covers. She noticed Klaus was gone in her sleepy reverie as she walked to bathroom in her room. She started her morning by brushing her teeth and taking a shower.

Rebekah had gone downstairs and entered the living room where Elijah was sitting in a chair reading a book, Klaus was sitting on the couch also reading a book, and Kol was lounging in the chair with his feet hanging off the arm, looking bored as he held a book in his hands, trying to read. There was a dead girl with bite marks on her neck, bleeding out on the coffee table.

Rebekah was incredulous, "So, this is what you do the first time we're back together as a family? Vampire book club?"

"Reading edifies the mind, sister. Isn't that right, Elijah?" Klaus stated.

"Yes, that's quite right, Niklaus," Elijah agreed.

"Well, it's most definitely boring," Kol chimed in.

"And what's this business?" Rebekah gestured to the dead girl.

"This is a....," Elijah searched for a word. "....peace offering."

"I presumed, after so much time desiccating in a coffin, that my big brother might be a bit peckish," Klaus spoke.

"And I explained to my little brother that forgiveness cannot be bought. I'd simply prefer to see a change in behavior that indicates contrition and personal growth," Elijah was annoyed and he gestured towards the body. "Not this nonsense."

"The nonsense, as you put it, was very delicious. I think I want another one," Kol voiced his thoughts.

"Where's your little girlfriend, Nik? She's not boring and it's easy to make her laugh," Kol wondered.

Klaus scowled and Elijah commented, "I wouldn't go near the girl, Kol. You might end up daggered because of it."

Klaus frowned and rolled his eyes, guiltily. Klaus was about to make a remark, but Eira walked into the room, capturing his attention. She walked in with Stefan next to her and they both stopped and frowned at the dead girl on the table. They had the same frown.

Eira had felt nauseous after getting out of the shower and this dead body with blood leaking onto the floor, just made it worse. Her nose scrunched up and she shook her head.

Eira walked further into the living room and towards the couch where Klaus was sitting. She crossed her arms and gave him a pointed look. He just sat there, dumbfounded, on what exactly she wanted.

"Klaus, what time of the day is it?" Eira asked him.

"It's morning, love," Klaus answered, skeptically.

"Yes, and right now I'm nauseous, you have a dead body in the house which is making me more nauseous. And I'm about to eat breakfast and I am not staring at a dead body while I do," Eira ranted in anger. "So, get rid of her."

Kol snickered at Eira's lecture towards Klaus and Elijah wore an amused smile. Stefan and Rebekah both let out small smiles, but Stefan shook his head at his grumpy sister. Klaus just sat there, looking surprised. Eira gave him another pointed look and he immediately got up off the couch, grabbing the dead girl.

Eira having gotten what she wanted, left the room and went into the kitchen with Stefan and Rebekah following her. Kol let out laughs when she left about Klaus following her orders like a puppy dog. Kol certainly wasn't bored anymore.

"Shut up," Klaus said as he dragged the dead girl's body from the room.

"Oh, come on, Nik. You're a complete marshmallow for the girl. It's quite amusing," Kol smirked and Klaus scowled.

Elijah stood up from his chair, having enough of his hearing his sibling's teasing. He put the book, his mother's grimoire, on a table. He entered the kitchen where Eira sat on a chair at the kitchen bar. Stefan was making an omelet for Eira and Rebekah was getting the bleach to clean the dead girl's blood off the carpet.

"Why am I always cleaning up my brothers' messes?" Rebekah asked.

"Well, one of us does try to lessen the mess," Elijah stated.

"Yes, I know," Rebekah rolled her eyes and she kissed Stefan on the cheek before leaving the kitchen altogether.

"You know, I do hope my siblings were hospitable to you in my absence," Elijah stated to Eira, walking more into the kitchen.

"Yes, they've been fine," Eira smiled.

Stefan added on, "Yes, and in you're absence, witches tried to kill her and they think her babies are pure evil."

Eira frowned, "Yes, that happened, too. It wasn't fun."

"I'm just happy to see that you're in one piece," Elijah smiled as Stefan slid a plate over to her with an omelet. "But back to the murderous witches. I have some concerns."

"I don't like them. And I'm still linked to Sophie Devereaux which I don't like either," Eira replied, putting a hand over her stomach.

"Yes, I think it's time we took care of that little problem," Elijah said.

"Really?" Eira questioned looking at him with hope dancing in her eyes.

    "Yes," Elijah smiled, reassuring her.

"And how many people do we have to kill for that?" a male voice entered the room.

It was Damon and Eira got up, running over to him and hugging him. Elijah smiled at their sibling fondness. Eira pulled away from Damon and Elijah answered the question.

   "Probably no one," Elijah stated.

The Salvatore siblings gave him a dubious look and he sighed, "Alright, potentially everyone."

Klaus got rid of the body like Eira asked him to and he returned back to his seat on the couch, reading the poem A Poison Tree by William Blake. Kol still sat on the chair, but Rebekah had entered the room and was cleaning the blood off the carpet.

"Poetry about poisoned apples from dead trees. Looks like someone's worried about impending daddy-hood," Rebekah commented to Klaus.

Klaus shook his head and replied, sarcastically, "Nonsense. Elijah's back. In his presence, all problems turn to pixie-dust and float away!"

Rebekah and Kol grinned at his response and Klaus grinned back. Elijah entered the room, hearing what Klaus said and Elijah spoke, "Strange, I don't recall any pixie-dust from the darkness of the coffin I was recently forced to endure."

Elijah opened his mother's grimoire that he left on the table and ripped out a page. Rebekah looked at him in question, "What are you doing with Mother's spellbook?"

"Well, in exchange for my freedom, I promised the witch Davina that I would share a few pages from Mother's grimoire to help her learn to control her magic. I thought we'd begin with a little un-linking spell," Elijah revealed and put the page he ripped out into his inside jacket pocket.

Klaus, Rebekah, and Kol were all stunned. Rebekah questioned, "Wait, you want to use her to un-link Eira from Sophie Deveraux?"

"Sophie brought us here under false pretenses! She doesn't just want us to take down Marcel and his minions, she wants to take Davina back. So, she yolked her own cause to ours with magic threats and half-truths! Well, no more. As of now, our deal with Sophie Deveraux is null and void," Elijah said, taking charge.

Kol stood up, "We can't use Davina. It's not right."

"Since when do you care about what's right?" Rebekah asked Kol.

"Well, now," Kol shrugged. "Why don't we just align with Davina? Tell her the truth about Eira."

"Like I'd let Eira's safety be penetrated by telling the witch about her," Klaus disagreed with Kol.

"We can trust Davina. She doesn't like the witches, just like us. We don't have to manipulate her," Kol argued.

"If you're so sure, Kol, then you can come along to tell Davina," Elijah stated, which Klaus wasn't happy about.

"Niklaus, I need you to come with us. We need five minutes alone with Davina. You need to make certain that we are not interrupted," Elijah said to Klaus and then he looked at Rebekah. "You stay here and watch over Eira along with her brothers."

"How did I get elected super-nanny?" Rebekah asked, annoyed, as Elijah left the room.

Klaus stood up, questioning, "More importantly, who put him in charge?"

Klaus and Kol both follow Elijah out and Rebekah stayed at the plantation house to watch over Eira along with Stefan and Damon.

Author's Note: I'm horrible. I feel bad that I haven't updated in I think like two days, it's just season one is so boring compared to what I have planned in later seasons. Like season 2 and season 3, gonna blow some car horns with my little ideas.

And it's really difficult for me to write with all these added characters, mostly Kol and Damon. Kol, I'm not really familiar with his character, so if I get him wrong I'm sorry. And Damon is hard as heck to write, at least for me.

But struggle over, I'm determined to write. It's gonna be small little updates at least until episode 10, I think, it'll be easier to write characters in during that time.

   P. S. Thank you readers that nominated me in the Fanfiction Awards.
