It was the next morning. Stefan had fallen asleep at Rebekah's place, holding her in his arms after having slept with her. He woke up and he kissed her cheek, making her lightly stir awake. She blinked her eyes open, slowly and looked up at him, a smile forming on her face.
"You stayed," Rebekah stated, happily.
"Well, yeah," Stefan stated like it was obvious that he would. "But I do need to leave, I have to check on Damon, make sure didn't escape."
Rebekah sighed and Stefan got up out of the bed, he vamp sped, putting all of his clothes on that were laying on the chair. Rebekah got up as well, putting on a robe and she said,"You're not going to kiss me goodbye?"
Stefan smiled and he came over to her. He grabbed her face between his hands and he kissed her deeply and intensely, leaving her breathless.
"Bye," Stefan said once he pulled away.
Stefan went and opened the door of Rebekah's room, revealing Klaus outside the door. Klaus smirked,"Leaving so soon?"
"This is my place, Nik, and I don't appreciate you invading my privacy like some kind of creeping Tom," Rebekah said, angrily.
"Well, I apologize for breaking up this little tryst, but I do have some urgent business. Or have you forgotten - our paranoid brother Kol is running around with the white oak stake and homicide on the brain?" Klaus stated, walking into the room.
"He tried to kill me last night. I didn't forget," Rebekah answered.
"Yes, well, unfortunately he seems to have absconded with my set of daggers," Klaus replied.
"Oh, poor Nik. How ever will you get your way without your precious daggers? They were so handy when you wanted to end a conversation with one of us!" Rebekah exclaimed.
"Kol's irrational fear of Silas has pushed him over the edge. We need to put him down before he does any more damage. Now, I know you have the last dagger, and I know you have some white ash, so hand it over," Klaus demanded.
"Mhm, and leave myself unprotected? You can file that request under 'no chance in hell.' Be gone by the time I have showered. Lurkers aren't welcome here," Rebekah denied and left to take a shower.
Klaus looked at Stefan,"I need that dagger, Stefan. Talk some sense into her."
"Why don't you talk some sense into her? I'm headed home to play prison guard to Damon. He's on lockdown ever since Kol compelled him to kill Jeremy last night," Stefan said.
"You see? That's my point exactly. If you let Kol roam free, then Jeremy won't live to see his junior prom, and we can kiss our map to the cure goodbye. But if you help me dagger Kol, Damon will be uncompelled, Jeremy will live, and you can get the cure for Rebekah whom your so affectionate towards," Klaus persuaded Stefan.

Eira was in the cellar with Damon. She had been giving him little vials of blood every couple of hours to keep him somewhat energized. She had the cellar door wide open but Damon wouldn't have been able to escape because she had vines wrapped around Damon's ankles.
Eira had been playing Would You Rather with Damon. So far he had been asking her easy stuff like you would rather go to Paris or Tokyo. She chose Paris. But he had thrown in a personal Would You Rather question,"Would you rather remember everything you shared with Klaus or never see him again?"
Eira's breath caught in her throat at the question. Damon was laying on his stomach on the floor of the cellar and he looked to her where she was sitting against the wall. He looked at her surprised that she even had to think about it.
"Why would you give me that question?" Eira asked, struggling with giving an answer.
"It should be easy. You already know what you want," Damon answered.
"I would rather never see him again," Eira revealed and Damon looked at her in shock.
Damon sat up,"You're absolutely positive?"
"I like the way things are now. I don't want to mess that up, so no, I don't want to remember Klaus and I would rather not see him again," Eira shrugged.
Stefan and Klaus were right outside the cellar door when they stopped, hearing what Eira and Damon were discussing. Stefan looked at Klaus in pity.
Damon and Eira rested into a silence but then Stefan walked into the cellar with Klaus behind him. Eira's eyes widened once she saw Klaus. She couldn't imagine how hurt he must feel and she immediately felt bad.
"Why is the cellar door open?" Stefan questioned Eira.
"I was watching him while you were gone. He can't get out," Eira answered and she looked at Damon's feet.
Stefan saw the vines wrapped around Damon's ankles. Damon spoke,"These things are like steel by the way. And where were you, little bro?"
Stefan got tongue tied for a moment before Klaus spoke with a smirk, covering up his feelings, "Well, I caught him leaving a bed with my sister."
Eira got up off the ground and she pressed the little glass vials of blood into Stefan's chest,"Since you're here now, you're in charge of Damon. I watched him all night."
Eira stepped past Stefan and in front of Klaus. He was in the way of the cellar doorway. She looked up at him,"Um, can you, um, move?"
Klaus stepped out of the way and Eira went past him quickly, leaving the cellar and going upstairs. Damon and Stefan watched the whole interaction.
"Well, that was sufficiently awkward," Damon said, looking at Klaus. "What is he even doing here?"
"Babysitting," Klaus gave a fake smile.
"Give him a vial of blood every couple of hours, so he doesn't desiccate. If he gets too much strength back, bleed him out again," Stefan instructed Klaus and handed the vials of blood to him.
"You two can enjoy your little, uh, villain bonding time? I'll let you know when I get the dagger from Rebekah," Stefan said and he left the basement.
Stefan got upstairs where he found Eira in the living room. He walked up to her, she was wringing her hands nervously. She looked at him once she saw him walk into the room,"He hates me now."
"Did you really mean it?" Stefan asked, putting an arm around her shoulders.
"Yes," Eira answered, immediately. "Because no matter what I do I'll never remember him and I'll never feel the same way I used to. It just won't work between us again."
"I'm sorry," Stefan apologized and Eira looked up at him in confusion. "You would be happy if you remembered and I'm sorry that I can't give your memories back to you."
"It's not your fault, Stef," Eira said.
Stefan sighed and pulled away from Eira once his phone rang. The caller ID said Elena. He looked at Eira apologetically and left the room, answering the phone.
"Damon's fine. I locked him up with all the creature comforts he deserves," Stefan answered the phone, bitterly that Elena had interrupted his sibling moment with Eira.
"That's not why I called. Kol just tried to kill Bonnie," Elena explained.
Stefan walked out the door of the house and he said,"What? Is she okay?"
"Yeah, she's just shaken up. She managed to hold him off, but Kol seems pretty intent on murdering everyone who's looking for that cure," Elena stated.
"Yeah, Klaus has me trying to convince Rebekah to give up her dagger so he can take care of Kol," Stefan explained.
"I don't want to just dagger Kol. I want Jeremy to kill him," Elena said.
Stefan looked back at the house and then he revved his motorcycle, creating noise to cover their conversation.
"No, Elena. We are not killing Kol. I'm not taking Rebekah's brother away from her. We can dagger Kol, but that's it," Stefan denied her plan and he hung up the phone, angry with Elena.
Elena sighed out frustrated with Stefan and that he wouldn't go along with her plan. But she decided that even without Stefan, that she was going to have Jeremy kill Kol.

Klaus was watching Damon and Klaus was leaning against the doorway of the cellar, looking up at the outside ceiling. He was focusing his hearing on Eira's heartbeat. She consumed his every thought. He turned away from the outside of the cellar and looked at Damon who was tossing an object in the air as he lounged on the bed that was in the cellar.
"How is it she manages to forgive the act of betrayal you and your brother did to her? She remembers how you desiccated me back when Alaric was still around and yet she still sticks by your side," Klaus questioned, frustrated with not being able to get the girl he loved.
Damon stopped tossing the object in the air and he shook his head,"I never thought the day would come where you had trouble with Eira."
"What is it that you say to her?" Klaus questioned.
Damon sat up and he said,"Eira may remember that we betrayed her by desiccating you, but she doesn't have the deep rooted love for you that she used to, therefore she doesn't have the same feelings of betrayal and we're her brothers, she loves us unconditionally. She's more forgiving than others, but you already know that."
"Plus, Eira has always been blind to her own feelings. Especially any feelings towards the opposite sex. That is our fault, though. Stefan and I sheltered her too much," Damon explained.
"So, your sister will go on for an eternity never having any feelings for me again?" Klaus asked, sadly.
Damon shrugged,"If she doesn't love you now, she's not gonna love you in the future."

Stefan took Rebekah to the abandoned Decade Dance. It was the 80's. There were balloons all over the gym floor and Stefan plugged in his phone to the boom box, playing music. Stefan had gotten her a koala corsage and he danced with her. He liked spending time with her but he felt bad that he only brought her to the dance so Matt could get the dagger from her.
Rebekah had revealed to him that she brought the dagger along with her. It was hidden in leg warmer. So, Stefan stopped dancing with her and brought her into the hallway to try The Breakfast Club slide.
Stefan slid down the hallway, showing Rebekah,"Like that."
"This is ridiculous," Rebekah stated.
"Well, that's the whole point of The Breakfast Club slide. It's supposed to be ridiculous," Stefan said.
Rebekah slid using vampire speed and Stefan spoke,"No, that's-that's cheating."
"What is fun about hurtling down a hallway like a teenage imbecile?" Rebekah questioned.
"You're just gonna have to do it to find out," Stefan replied.
Rebekah smiled and sighed. She tried sliding across the floor, but her shoes squeaked. She couldn't slide in them.
"All right, it's the shoes. Take off the shoes, you'll be fine, okay?" Stefan said.
Rebekah bent down and pulled the dagger out of her leg warmer,"This is what you want, right?"
Rebekah handed it to him and he took it. Rebekah looked at him with tears in her eyes,"This was all a trick, wasn't it? You being with me. It was all so you could get whatever you wanted from me."
"No, Rebekah...," Stefan shook his head immediately but he was cut off.
"I can't believe I was stupid enough to believe everything you said. But I care. You were right. I want stupid koala corsages and a prom. I want to have kids with someone who loves me enough to stand outside my window with a stupid boombox. I want to be human. So let Klaus put down my brother and then we can find the cure," Rebekah revealed and then she walked away from Stefan, leaving him with a guilty heart.

Eira was sitting in the living room. She had a fire going in the fireplace. But all of the sudden it started to spark and crackle. It grew higher and wafts of smoke covered the fireplace, not allowing her to see.
Then it all stopped and the smoke went away. The fire was back to normal but in front of the fireplace lay a dagger. The dagger she had burned to ash.
She went and hesitantly touched it. Once she did, she had a vision. A vision about Jeremy killing Kol. She gasped as she came out of the vision and she knew immediately what she had to do. She didn't want Klaus to lose a brother, so she was determined to save Kol. Even though she said she'd rather not see Klaus, she still cared about him.
Eira ran out of the house, putting on her black leather jacket. She had the dagger in her hand and she hopped on her motorcycle. She started it and she drove away to the Gilbert house.
When she got there, she parked her motorcycle and then she ran up to the Gilbert house. The front door was off it's hinges, so she just ran inside.
Kol was in front of the staircase and he had just pulled out an arrow in his leg that Elena shot at him. Eira knew that Elena would continue to try to kill Kol so she willed that Nature help her and create an illusion. An illusion that the dagger was actually the white oak stake.
Kol turned around once he heard Eira enter and he smirked once he saw her,"Eira, Klaus's little girlfriend. Did he send you here to try to kill me?"
Kol vamp sped at her but Eira threw him back with the wind into the living room. He crashed into the ground but he got back up easily. Eira had vines wrap around his arms, keeping him in place.
"I don't have time to earn your trust. But I promise you'll wake up in the morning," Eira whispered.
Eira grabbed the white oak stake out of his inside jacket pocket and she put it in hers. Kol was confused as she took the white oak stake and hid it away. The dagger she held in her hand looked like a white oak stake to him as it was an illusion.
"Elena! Jeremy!" Eira called. "It's okay. You can come down."
Elena and Jeremy slowly came down the stairs and they relaxed once they saw Kol held by vines. Eira handed the dagger to Jeremy, him thinking that it was the white oak stake.
"There, you can kill him," Eira said.
"No! Don't," Kol struggled against the unbreakable vines.
Jeremy took the dagger and plunged it into Kol's chest. Since it was an illusion, Kol's body went up in flames and the vines around Kol went back in the ground. It looked to Jeremy and Elena that Kol was burnt horribly. But to Eira, his body was intact.
Eira backed up from the fire that was burning his still intact body. Jeremy and Elena backed up as well. Eira felt like someone was watching her and she looked towards the doorway to find Klaus. He had tears in his eyes.
"Klaus...," she trailed off, softly and she started to walk towards him.
"Out of all the people to betray me, it had to be you," Klaus spoke and his look turned into a glare as he stared at her. A glare of hate.
"You said you were going to put Kol down too," Elena intervened.
"I was going to make him suffer on my terms!" Klaus shouted furiously. "I'm going to burn this house to the ground. And then, when you try to flee for your lives, I'll kill you all without blinking."
"And trust me, sweetheart, your death will be the most painful," Klaus looked at Eira with such hate and hurt.
Eira felt her chest constrict painfully. She didn't want him to hate her and she wanted to ease his worries, tell him that Kol wasn't dead. But she couldn't do that, not with Elena and Jeremy there as well.
Klaus suddenly fell to his knees, crying out in pain and clutching his head just like in her vision. Bonnie came into view and she came inside the house.
"Invite him in!" Bonnie demanded.
Jeremy and Elena look at her confused and Bonnie continued,"Do it!"
Klaus got to his feet and he glared, horrifically at all of them. Jeremy did as he was told,"Come in."
Bonnie used her powers and magically pulled Klaus inside the house, making him fall forward. Elena, Jeremy, and Eira ran away from Klaus as Bonnie brought him inside.
"Living room. Go!" Bonnie instructed them.
Elena, Jeremy, and Eira ran through the living room and into the kitchen as Klaus followed them. Although he was held back from getting into the kitchen. Bonnie had put up a barrier spell, keeping him from leaving the living room.
Jeremy, Elena, and Eira watched as he pounded futilely against the barrier. Jeremy, Elena, and Bonnie went to the doorway that led outside while Eira stayed.
Klaus didn't move to try to follow them. He stayed glaring at Eira. He never imagined that the girl he loved would kill his brother.
"I promise it'll be okay. You'll see," Eira tried to explain.
"How can you possibly think this is okay?" Klaus gritted his teeth. "Whatever feelings I had for you are gone. I will hunt you till your end!"
Eira walked away from Klaus with tears in her eyes and she followed Elena, Jeremy and Bonnie out the door.

Stefan went to Rebekah's house. He wanted to make amends with her. So, he took a boombox and he waited outside her house, playing loud music. Rebekah came out of the house in a fury.
"What do you want? I want nothing to do with you," Rebekah spoke and he turned off the music.
"You said you wanted someone to hold a stupid boombox outside your window. I'm being that person," Stefan smiled softly at her.
Rebekah chuckled dryly and she crossed her arms,"You used me to get the dagger..."
"And I won't do it again," Stefan interrupted. "I was getting that dagger to put down Kol. I should've just asked you and I'm sorry."
"Forgive me?" Stefan asked with the most sorrowful look on his face.
Rebekah couldn't resist his pleading face and she sighed,"Fine."
Stefan smiled and he went towards her. He put down the boombox next to her. He hit the play button and a slow song came on.
He held out his hand to her,"Dance with me?"
Rebekah took his hand and he pulled her to him. They swayed to the music and he kissed her sweetly on the lips. There dance was interrupted by a phone call. Stefan's phone.
He reluctantly pulled away from Rebekah and answered it. It was Elena and she told him that along with Eira, they had killed Kol. Although, it wasn't really true, but only Eira knew that.
Stefan hung up the phone and he looked at Rebekah who heard every word. He looked at her sympathetically,"I'm sorry."
Tears had poured down Rebekah's face,"No, I don't believe it. Kol's not dead. He can't be."
"Did you know?" Rebekah questioned Stefan angrily.
"No, I had no idea. Elena brought it up, but I said no," Stefan answered.
Stefan walked over to Rebekah and he pulled her into his arms, holding her as she cried into his chest. Stefan comforted, "It'll be okay, it'll all be okay."

Elena, Bonnie, Jeremy, and Eira were back at the Salvatore boarding house waiting on Jeremy's mark to grow. Eira was sure that her illusion on Kol actually dying would transfer to Jeremy's mark growing. But as she sat waiting like the rest of them, Eira became angry.
Klaus hated her and it was all Elena's fault. If Elena didn't try to kill Kol, Eira wouldn't be in this position. So as Eira sat waiting for Jeremy's mark to grow, she glared at Elena.
Elena had noticed Eira's glare and got fed up with it,"If you have something to say Eira, say it."
Eira stood up and walked towards Elena in anger,"What were you thinking trying to kill Kol?"
"How did you even know that we were?" Elena asked. "Did Stefan tell you?"
"No, I had some weird vision," Eira answered. "But why do you always try to do something idiotic?"
"You're just mad that Klaus won't forgive you," Elena stated.
Eira's anger flared,"Yes, I'm mad. Because it seems that whatever decisions you make always end up with him being hurt and I'm not okay with that."
"No, of course, you aren't because you're in love with him. You'd choose him over anyone else. Even your own brothers," Elena stated.
Eira's anger reached a tipping point. Outside, lightning crackled so loud that the thunder that came with it, shook the ground. The wind blew and Elena got thrown back, crashing into a table,"Don't bring my brothers into this, Elena."
Elena got back up with her vampire face out and she went to go against Eira, but Damon vamp sped behind her and wrapped his arms around her, keeping her from attacking Eira. Stefan had walked through the door with the headstone and he set it down. He went to Eira and put a hand on her shoulder, telling her to stop.
Eira calmed down, she just wanted to get the cure and be away from Elena. As soon as she thought that, Jeremy started screaming in pain. He ripped his shirt off and everyone watched as the mark grew.
"Oh my god," Elena stated.
"You can see it?" Jeremy questioned.
Elena nodded and Damon said,"Here we go."
Author's Note: So, Kol survived everyone. He is alive. This chapter took me all day to write and I have no idea why.
