Chapter 13: Entwined Hearts

"I said, I love you." I repeat, she blinked her eyes twice and looked at me, laugh a little and said. "Heather, hello! What are you trying to say? Are you okay?" She stood up and before she even take a step. I immediately grab her hand, she turned her head and seems like she's confused.
"Don't give me false hopes Heather." She snapped back at me, she is trying to get her hands off me but rather I let it go. I even hold it more firmly. I stand up and hug her. "No. I am not giving you false hopes. I am just saying you what I truly feel about you." I said in her ears.
"No. This can't be. It is impossible. How can you love someone you barely know? We just met not a long time ago." Tears are starting to fall on her face. Sinusubukan pa rin niya kumawala sa aking mga bisig.
"You even believe in that? What if I am part of your past?" I reached her face, wiping up all the tears.
"Wh-what?" Naguguluhan niyang tanong. Lumayo ito ng kaunti mula sa akn, binitawan ko siya. Umusad ako ng kaunti at tinitigan siya. "What are you trying to say Heather?" She asked cutting off the gap between us.
It's now or never. The voice in my head says. Hindi magiging madali ito may possibilidad na magalit siya sa akin dahil sa nagawa ko pero she needs to know.
Huminga ako ng malalim, kumuha ng lakas ng loob at saka sinabi "I am your former boyfriend Rian before the accident. I am that guy. You are the girl I am talking about. You are currently suffering from Amnesia that's why you cannot remember me."
Hindi ito kumilos sa kinatatayuan niya tila hindi makapaniwala sa mga nadinig. "You-what? You're joking right?" Mas lalu tuloy siyang umiyak sa nadinig.
"Hindi. I am not." Seryoso kong saad.
Nilapitan ko siya, at niyakap. "Sorry Rian for not telling you the truth, alam ko hindi pa bumbalik ng tuluyan ang alaala mo pero nahihirapan na ako. Hindi ko na kaya pang magpanggap na kunwaring boyfriend mo. Ayoko na din ng kunwaring relasyon. I want us. I want the former us. I want us to be back. I still love you and it never changed."
Ramdam na ramdam ko ang unti-unting pag-iyak ni Rian. Makalipas ang ilang saglit niyakap na rin niya ako ng tuluyan at dahil sa ginawa niya, ako naman tuloy ang umiyak. Dala ng emosyon na hindi siya nagalit sakin. Ramdam ko sa yakap niya na mahal pa din niya ako kahit hindi niya sabihin.
"I am sorry Heather. Hindi ko alam. Wala ako matandaan. Ano nangyare? Naguguluhan ak.o" Yun lamang ang nasabi niya pero parang sasabog na ang puso ko sa nadinig, at yun ang mahalaga sa ngayon that she still cares for me.
"Sorry Heather, ngayon naiintindihan ko na kung bakit ang saya saya ko kapag kasama kita. Yun pala naging parte ka na ng buhay ko noon pa man. Naiintindihan ko na din kung bakit lagi kita napapanaginipan, siguro yun yung mga alaala natin ng tayo'y magkasama pa noon. Sorry Heather kung hindi pa din kita maalala ng lubusan. Inaamin ko sa saili ko na kahit sa sandaling panahon na nakasama kita ay natutunan kong mahalin ka-- I love you Heather and that's all that matters. Kung ano ang meron tayo ngayon iyon muna ang pagtuunan natin ng pansin." Mas lalu ko pang hinigpitan ang pagkakayakap sa kanya.
She still loves me and its a clear sign that we're meant to be.
Kumawala siya mula sa pagkakayakap sa akin, pinunasan ko ang mga luhang kanina pa umaagos sa maganda at maamo niyang mukha. Tinititigan niya ako pagkara'ay tumawa. "What?" I said to her.
"Hindi ako sanay na ang isang Heather Morone ay umiiyak." Pinupunsan na niya ang luha sa mukha ko. "At ano naman ang masama doon?" Dispensa ko.
"Para kang bading." Maikli nitong sagot sabay tawa.
"Ano bading pala." Sabay talikod ko.
Bigla nalang may yumakap mula sa likuran ko. Ang higpit ng yakap niya sa akin and I even like it.
"Binibiro ka lang. Alam mo natutuwa nga ako sayo, kasi madalang umiyak ang lalaki para sa isang babae."
Pinilit kong humarap sa kanya at sinabing "When a man cry over a lady its a clear sign that he truly loves her. And that's what I feel for you." Hinawi ko ang mga hibla ng buhok na humarang sa mukha niya at hinaplos haplos ang mukha niya.
"I love you and remember that." Seryoso kong sabi at pagkara'ay niyakap siya ng mahigpit.
"I love you too, mi amore." Sagot nito sa akin.
Angelie Marrianne Menova's POV
A dare suddenly flashed into my head, "I need to tell you something." Yumuko ako, pano ko sasabihin sa kanya yon? May possibilidad na isipin niya na pinaglalaruan ko siya at hindi totoong mahal ko siya.
Lumapit ito sa akin. "Tell me, something's bothering you. What is it?" "Heather, someone asked me to play a dare to play with your feeelings but believe me hindi ko iyon ginawa. I never did."
*Flashback*
"You need to make him fall in love with you and you should never fall for your trap."
"In 100 days' time and in that 100th day he should be able to say 'I love you' and that's the end of this dare."
Tila naging estatwa ako sa aking nadinig. "What? Is this fucking serious?"
"Yes Girl. I am serious. There's no way out. You need to do this." Drinks her wine and looks at me sternly.
"What if I back out?" I said firmly.
"You should take the consequences for your action. You won't know what would happen if you back out. So, there's no way out. You need to do this. Besides, this is just a game."
"I can't believe this. Damn it!" I almost shouted at the top my lungs.
She remained silent and still looking at her wine glass.
"Why him? What kind of dare is this? I can't play with his feelings! You should know that!" I shouted at her. My emotions suddenly changed. Anger bolted in.
"Sorry girl. But this is a dare. You lose right? So you need to do this." Takes a deep breath, still not looking at me and she continued "Whether you like it or not, and besides you will understand someday why him and I will explain everything to you. I promise." She answered in a calm and peaceful voice.
Closing my fists. "Okay. Fine. When is the start?"
"Tomorrow. I have to go now girl. Goodluck!" She immediately stands up and picks her jacket and her bag in the chair beside her.
Looking at me she said, "And before I forget, no one should know about this deal. This is only between me and you. Bye. Take care. Goodnight." And with note she finally left.
Niyakap niy ako ng matapos kong ikuwento ang nangyare ng araw na iyon. I can't look at him directly, imbes na magalit siya mas pinaramdam pa niya sa akin yung mainit niyang yakap. "No. I am not angry at you. I need to confess you one thing." Naging bakas sa itsura niya ang pagiging seryoso.
"What is that?" Kumawala ako sa kanyang mga bisig. Kumuha siya ng isang basong tubig, ininom saka niya ako sinagot ng "Because I am the one who plotted that."
"W-what?" Gulat na gulat nitong sagot.
"Kung may taong dapat kang magalit at sakin dapat yon. I am the one who asked Kianna to do that dare to you." Malayo ang tingin ni Heather, mga matang hindi ko maintindihan kung ano ang gustong iparating.
"Bakit mo nagawa yon?" Pagtatanong ko. Nilapitan ko siya hinawakan ang kanyang mga kamay at sinabing "I don't hate you. I can't hate you. Let's just say naguguluhan ako, pano? Bakit? but I will never hate you, just love you is all that I can do. I just demand an explanation. Magkakilala kayo ni Kianna dati pa? Pinaglalaruan niyo ba ako?"
"Rian, listen to me. Because, I want you back. I want you to learn on how to love me again and maybe one day you'll be able to remember me. Ginawa ko iyong dare na yon hindi para sakin, para sayo. Gusto ko ikaw mismo sa sarili mo makaalala kung sino ako at ano ba ako sa buhay mo. Hindi ko na pala kaya yung ganitong set-up. Ayoko na mabuhay sa pagkukunwari at kasinungalingan. I will help you remember everything Rian. Just trust me and I am so sorry for that dare." bakas na bakas sa mukha nito ang pagiging seryoso.
"Bakit kailangan pa may dare Heather? Hindi ko mainitindihan iyong part na iyon."
"Ginawa ko iyon para magkaroon ng plot twist ang lovestory natin. Look now what happened/ I got you back."
Bakit may relationship contract pa na nalalaman? Heather, ginugulo mo lalo ang utak ko.
"What is it Rian? Something bothering you/" Pagtatanong ni Heather, nahalata niya siguro na may iniisip ako.
"Bakit may relationship contract pa tayo?" Pagtatakang tanong ko.
"Ginawa ko iyon dahil gusto ko na maging akin ka lang. Hindi ko kaya na may ibang lalaki na aaligid sayo."
Heather Alexander Morone's POV
*Flashback*
"Kianna, I want you to do me a favor." Pagkaupong pagkaupo niya sa upuan iyon agad ang pambungad ko.
"Iyan ba yung reason kung bakit mo ako pinapunta dito?" Tanong ni Kianna. She is the bestfriend of Rian, they were friends since they are kids and later on she was part of team because of Rian and alsso the ex-girlfriend of Jester Kerovin Montevador.
"What favor is that?"
"Let you and Rian play a game in which whoever the loser gets a dare."
"What? Are you kidding me?" Sarkastiko nitong tawa sakin.
"Well, I am not."
She sips a wine from her glass and drink it, "Let's just say you're serious, and what dare is that?"
"Ask her to make me fall inlove with her in 100 days, the secenario was, She must be able to make me say 'I love you' on the 100th day and she must not be able to fall inlove with me."
She laughs immediately after hearing that statement of mine then wave her hand in the air, "What kind of joke is this Heather? This was the first time I ever heard that silly dare, as I could remember you are head over heels for her, then what's the point of her not to fall inlove with you?" She continued eating her dessert.
"I know, in the long run she will fell for me like before and she won't ever let me go that's why."
"Then why the hard way?" She replied back. "Why don't you just court her, ask her on romantic dates and stuffs?" She continued while waving her hand.
"Because I want her to realize herself, who am I into her life. I know before 100th day she will realize that. I can still feel that she still loves me although he can't remember me but her heart still do."
"Okay fine. I will help; just make sure that you won't hurt her okay? Or else you are doomed. Tomorrow we are going on a party to celebrate on of our blockmates birthday so I will ask her to grab a drink eith me and whoever gets to be drunken first then she will have a dare to do."
In that note I remembered that Rian has a low alcohol tolerance.
"Okay, just let me know what will happen next."
"You can hate me for what I did, but don't ever let me go because what I feel for you is real. Let us leave everything behind—the dare and the relationship contract. Let us start anew. What important right now is I got you and you got me. Jet'aime Rian." Tears are starting to fall over again my cheeks.
Pinunasan nito ang luha sa aking mukha, at sinabing "I want to hate you but I can't, my heart says no because it only beats for you although my mind can't remember you completely."
I hugged her and said, "I'll make you remember me and prove to you that I only have eyes laid upon you. I love you always and forever, mi amore."
