jimin had finally snapped, his small hands grabbing hoseok by the collar of his shirt, he was infuriated, he was so done with all of this. hoseok of course was scared for his life, he just wanted jimin to understand but who would've thought that he would have the guts to throw him off the staircase of the apartment complex.
"j-jimin..!" hoseok gripped his hands around jimin's, trying his best to unwrap them from his shirt. jimin was a bit entertained by hoseok's struggle but once he saw what he was trying to do, he couldn't help but smirk.
"let go!" hoseok screeched, trying his hardest for jimin to not make him fall down the steps.
jimin only huffed, "let go you say?"
hoseok nodded but as soon as jimin had let go of his grasp, he heard jimin say something to him.
"as you wish."
hoseok's eyes had dilated ten times bigger and he felt his breath escape quickly. all the memories of everything he had regained were slowly going to disappear just because of jimin's action.
how on earth was it fair to try to regain something you've longed for, to only have someone ruin it when you didn't get the chance to rebuild it?
hoseok for sure was nervous as he felt his feet not being able to balance and his falling felt like it was going in slow motion, he quickly closed his eyes hoping the pain would disappear if he did. his body felt lightweight as the air swiftly flowed through his body as he was ready for impact.
"hoseok!"
jimin's eyes widened as soon as it was met with the eyes of the girl he loved so much. he saw you standing there right next to taehyung, who had been hugging you. your eyes were stained red and looked as if you'd been crying.
even though all of this happened in a split second, it felt like an eternity.
jimin saw how distraught you were and he knew he would have to pay the price if he didn't do something. he quickly made a decision, and in all his time of hating hoseok, he did something that no one would ever thought of him doing.
jimin quickly lunged his body forward and wrapped hoseok into an embrace, making sure he was safe of the impact of the fall.
the only sound that filled up the air was you and taehyung screaming as you heard jimin and hoseok's bodies roughly hitting the stairs of the complex. every hit that you saw and entered your ears was like a stab to your heart, and what made it worse was that both the guys you loved were having to endure it.
you heard hoseok and jimin groan in pain as they finally hit the last step, their breaths hitching and they eyes wincing because of the pain.
"hoseok! jimin!" you quickly ran up to them, despite all your tears from before, you didn't expect anymore of this issue to happen.
what surprised jimin the most and broke his heart was when you ran to them, but you didn't go up to your boyfriend first, you went to hoseok instead.
taehyung rushed there as well, making sure that jimin was safe and that there weren't any major injuries inflicted onto them. of course it was dumb to think so, but they were hoping for the best.
jimin's lip was bleeding and his lips were also swollen, hoseok on the other hand wasn't able to get up because his back ached and his sensitive nature made it hurt ten times worse.
jimin glared at hoseok as you tried to help him back up, only having more anger and rage inside of him as he saw how gentle you looked while helping him. that was the glint in your eyes when you would care about someone, but he wanted that someone to be him.
jimin broke away from taehyung's grasp from helping him up and instantly tried to strangle hoseok.
"you fucking-" jimin's hands had made their way onto hoseok's collar as he shook him with anger, "why the hell did i even save you?!"
"let go of me..please!" hoseok begged, trying to smack jimin's hands away.
"this is all your fault! if you didn't interfere-"
"i didn't do anything to you!"
"guys, knock it off!" taehyung raged, his deep voice making them flinch by the sound.
"jimin, stop!" you yelled and tried to push him away, "you're hurting him!"
"yah, jimin!" taehyung yelled and instantly pulled him back, jimin groaning in pain as his fingers felt like they were on fire. his fingers had been bleeding because the stairs, his precious skin being scrapped by the cemented stairs.
hoseok was breathing hard and groaned out loud each time his back felt a sharp pain.
"i don't know what you guys were thinking," taehyung grunted, "but we're getting you guys to the hospital, and once you're all healed, you're explaining to us what the hell just happened back there."
taehyung picked up jimin who was kicking his legs in the air trying to escape from taehyung's help. taehyung of course was stronger than jimin at this point because of the amount of pain his body was suffering, so he eventually gave up and leaned his small frame onto taehyung's.
you were the one trying to help hoseok stand on his own, but it made your heart ache hearing each groan that had escaped his lips. you were a crying mess as you quickly tried to lead them into jimin's car. you were able to access the car because jimin's keys were in his pocket since he tried to meet up with you.
you heard taehyung slip jimin's body onto the passenger seat, and you had been in the back with hoseok. you and taehyung knew that if they were near each other who knows what might happen. the both of you quickly fastened each other's seat belts, but the only one who wasn't in a seat belt was hoseok because of his back.
hoseok was lying horizontally in the car, his head resting on your lap as you stroked his brown locks.
"you're gonna be okay hos-" you stopped as you realized he was grunting in pain. of course it seemed over exaggerated, but his spine was burning and wanting to be healed. "hobi.."
after you had called his nickname, hoseok had finally opened his eyes and looked at you directly. he was the type to easily be squeamish whenever he was hurt, so his eyes were covered in tears and sweat was dripping down his forehead. you were praying to god that nothing bad will come of this, especially his condition.
"y-yeah?" hoseok managed to speak, his voice sounding hurt and hoarse. you cringed as you heard it, it wasn't his smooth and giddy voice that you secretly liked.
well not secretly anymore, you knew to yourself that you liked him for quite a while. it was just hard for you to confess.
"you're gonna be okay, okay?" you smiled through the tears, making hoseok nod as a tear slipped from his closed eyes.
"am i really gonna be okay, (y-your name)?"
you didn't know how to respond at this point, you can only feel the movement of the car as taehyung was driving fast to the medical facility.
you stared at him for a while, and you were wondering what would make him stop crying and being in so much pain. you looked at his hands that were shaking and quaking with fear, your eyes softened as your hand made its way to his hand. you intertwined your fingers with his, feeling the sensation of holding him all over again. your body missed it, it missed hoseok's sweet and delicate touch.
you noticed that hoseok's shaking stopped as you held his hand with your's, he looked deeply into your eyes as you gave him a smile.
"promise." you grinned sweetly, sniffling as you said so.
his only response was a nod and his lips forming into a somewhat decent smile. you took note of that and couldn't help yourself from it, you just missed him too much.
your head leaned in, you were hesitant but your mind was telling you how much you loved him and how you could calm him down.
hoseok's eyes had fluttered open but as soon your lips were met with his, his eyes widened.
after hoseok had laid there in shock, you both felt the car stop as taehyung had finally reached the destination. he had gotten jimin out of his seat and tried helping him up as you heard him also open the door to your side of the car.
however you and hoseok stared at each other like no one else was there, you saw his confused yet shocked expression. but what made his heart race were your words to him.
"i've missed you."
never in his life had hoseok felt like his heart was practically pounding out of his chest. because of the amount of years of not knowing each other, or missing each other without knowing of each other's existence, a response left his lips.
"i've missed you too."
you smiled at his response but you all remembered you were all still in this situation, and time was slipping fast.
when you had finally gotten out of the car, some doctors came your way as they noticed how disheveled and in a hurry you were. one of the doctors had brought a stretcher for hoseok to make it better for him since his back with hurt. you only followed them in as they put jimin onto a wheelchair since his shoulders were the ones hurting.
as all of you quickly rushed into the nearest room they had to offer, you saw hoseok and how he looked at you with such a sour yet sweet smile. his hand had been held out in your direction as he waved goodbye before the doors closed.
you had waved back at him, sniffling as taehyung wrapped his arm around you.
jimin on the other hand, was just brought into another room as he didn't even look the slightest bit lively. his eyes were dulled out as they closed the doors.
both you and taehyung stood there outside of the rooms, his big arms engulfing you into a hug as you cried onto his chest. he couldn't believe how much you had endured today, and he couldn't believe himself to say that things might even be revealed after this.
after all, jimin strangling hoseok couldn't have been anymore obvious.

after you had called jungkook, it was obvious to you guys that he was going to head there as soon as possible. not only for you guys, but his injured friends as well. which also included his best friend, jimin.
he knew things were going to end up badly for him after taehyung explained jimin trying to choke him on the phone. jungkook told jimin that he would have to fight his own battles but now this was heavy weight for his heart.
what if he got blamed for encouraging jimin to do things by himself? but he knew he didn't ask jimin to physically hurt hoseok, he was simply asking jimin to finally move on and erase all those years of anger and secrecy.
"you have a sense of morals, jungkook. and i don't."
jimin's words had echoed into the back of his head as he was hurriedly walking down the halls of the fluorescent building.
jungkook had finally made his way down the hall where he saw you and taehyung sitting on the small benches near the rooms.
"hey," jungkook called you guys as you both looked up and were quickly relieved. your arms had quickly wrapped around his neck, his strong arms making their way to you and he hugged you back. "are you alright?"
you nodded reassuringly, "i'm fine..but it's them i'm worried about."
jungkook knew who you were talking about, and he was still surprised that you still cared for jimin as this point after everything had faltered. "they're going to be okay."
he noticed that you were still sniffling and crying as you wrapped your arms around yourself. jungkook quickly put on a sincere smile even though his heart ached, "hey, knock it off...you know both of them wouldn't want to see you crying like this."
jungkook's thumb had wiped your tears and you managed a smile and laugh as he did so. "yeah, you're right..thanks jungkook."
"where's my cute moment with jungkook?" taehyung pouted as he crossed his arms. taehyung was crying too but his tears were almost dry.
"shut it and get over here then." jungkook grinned as he pulled taehyung into a side hug.
"are you guys alright?" jungkook asked, "you two looked like you've been crying for hours."
"it felt like hours," you admitted, "but all we can do is rely on the doctors."
taehyung sensed that the mood was too intense, and he couldn't help but want to make a joke, "we make it seem like they got shot, this isn't a korean drama, guys."
taehyung felt accomplished as you and jungkook managed a laugh aside from the fact you were worried. he loved seeing you smile, you all have never seen to close and caring of each other since now.
"i know," you smiled, "but something could happen."
"they might've broken some bones or have fractures, but we should just be lucky none of their heads got impact." jungkook admitted.
it was all silent just standing there and nodding, since all you were each feeling some sort of guilt in your hearts. each one of you were feeling as sorts of emotions for the differing faults, but once you all looked up at each other, you all couldn't help but embrace each other into a hug as you all hoped your friends were alright.
