(The Salvatore Boarding House)
Bella's POV.
As I woke up, I felt so relieved that I didn't have to do this every night. Although I still wasn't happy about changing every full moon, but atleast I can sleep in an actual bed tonight.
I looked around the cell amd picked up a blanket and wrapped it around my self. I then looked over to the door and tried to open it, but then I remembered I locked my self in.
"Damon!" I shout through out the basement, and Damon shows up immediately.
"Sorry about that, Something's happened with Rose" He tells me with a sad look on his face.
"What's happened?" I ask him as I furrow my eyebrows at him.
"The woman from yesterday, Jule's... She bit Rose" He tells me sadly, why would Jule's do this? She seemed so kind to me yesterday.
"Is she alright?" I ask him worried, I might not be Rose's biggest fan but she doesn't deserve to die.
"A werewolf bite is fatal to vampire, I don't think she's going to make it over night" He tells me with his head down, but it immediately shoots straight back up "What happened to you yesterday? At the grill you and Jule's went for a walk and then you never came back" He asks me.
"I was with Elijah, he offered me and Elena a deal. If we live our lives as normal he said that he would protect our friends and family, and when Klaus comes to find us he would kill him" I tell him, but he has a look of disbelief on his face.
"And you believe him?" He asks me like I'm crazy.
"Well, yeah. He's friends with witches who are going to protect us, they've also lifted the spell that Bonnie did" I tell him as a smile appears on my face, but not on his.
"How do you know that we can trust him?" He asks me as we finally attempt to leave the basement.
"I don't, but if the spell is broken then we'll find out tonight" I tell him with a small smile "Where's Rose?" I ask him as he shuts the basement door.
"She's in the parlour, come on" He tells me as we walk into the parlour room. I look over to the couch and see Rose dinking a glass of blood as she sweats constantly.
"Let's have a look, come on. Let me see" Damon says to her as he approaches her, but I keep my distance as I don't think she wants to be near a werewolf right now.
He has a look at the bite mark and I can see from here that it's really bad, and it looks like it's spreading down her back.
"How is it?" She asks him.
"Definitely...better. Right, Bella?" Damon asks me, and Rose turns to face me.
"Um, it's not bad" I tell her with a fake smile, but I think she can see straight through it "Where's Stefan?" I ask trying to change the conversation.
"He left, he's going to try and find Isobel because Katherine said she might have some information on Elijah and how to kill his brother Klaus" He tells me, and I just suddenly become angry when I hear the name Isobel and Katherine in the same sentence.
"We got rid of Isobel once and she said she would never come back, and I'm pretty sure when Elijah said "live your lives and do nothing" it meant don't go digging in his past and trying to kill Klaus" I say to him, but I can see in his eye's that he doesn't care if I protest.
"No, can do. I'm with Stefan on this one but if you could play nurse for a while that would be great" He tells me, and I just look at him as if to say 'are you serious'.
"It's not necessary" Rose tells him weakly.
"It is necessary. You need someone with you until your fully healed" He tells her, and he leaves the room so I follow him.
"That bite looks terrible"I tell him, she doesn't deserve this.
"The wolf bite caused some kind of infection and it's getting worse" He tells me, I can tell he feels so helpless.
"Like poison?" I ask him, what if one day I accidentally bite him on a full moon, I couldn't live with my self if he died.
"I don't know, Bella. I'm not an expert in the field" He raise's his voice a little as he talks to me.
"I'm sorry" I tell him quietly, but loud enough so he can hear me.
"Death happens. We come, we go. Sooner she dies the better. It's gloomy as hell in here" He tells me before leaving out the front door. I guess I'm a nurse for a day.
"I hate this. I'm a vampire, I haven't had a cold in five centuries" Rose says to me as I help her into Damon's bedroom for her to relax, his bed is so comfy.
"Just get in bed" I tell her as I pull the covers over her.
"We don't get sick. When we die, it's fast and sudden and it's certainly not drawn out in illness" She tells me, she really has no hope.
"You're not gonna die" I tell her with a small smile.
"Such a human thing to say" She says to me and I just rolls my eyes at her comment "You're lucky, you know. No one's ever love me the way you're loved" She tells me.
"I doubt that" I say to her. I know Damon loves me, but I don't know if he's in love with me.
"Trevor was my best friend. Nothing more. I spent all those years on the run from Elijah. I just never thought it was a good idea to set up roots. The whole idea of family is not exactly compatible with being a vampire. Why are you so eager to give up?" She questions me.
"I'm not giving up on anything. Here" I tell her and give her a glass of blood.
"What do you call this whole deal with Elijah?" She asks me, and she drinks the full glass of blood.
"I call it my best option, mine and Elena's best option" I tell her, as I also speak for Elena on the subject.
"It's your easiest option" She says to me, it may be the easiest, but it's the safest "Do you really think that your witch friend destroyed the moonstone?" She asks me.
"I spoke with Bonnie. I know that she had the help of another witch; unless you mean it's Elijah's witch, so no, I don't" I tell her honestly.
"You really are determined to die, aren't you? At least I ran, you and your sister are not even trying" She tells me as she slowly closes her eyes "I'm so tired" She tells me, so I start to stand up and leave but she starts talking in her sleep "No, stop, wait. Tell them to prepare the horses" She shouts in her sleep so I walk back over to her.
"It's okay Rose. Just get some sleep. You'll feel better when you wake up" I tell her gently.
"Trevor, don't be so stupid. You're never going to make it there before the sun" She says before she suddenly sits up gasping "Elena, Elena, I need more blood" She tells me and I quickly pour more blood from blood bag into a cup.
"Yeah, of course, here" I say to her and give her the cup. She starts to drink but she suddenly throws it all back up.
"It's okay, everything's gonna be alright" I tell her as I run into the bathroom to find some towel's to clean it up.
I finally find some and run back into Damon's bedroom, but Rose is missing. I turn around to look for her but she's suddenly standing right in front of me, she then attacks me and pushes me hard against a wall.
"It's all your fault, Katerina. You Katerina, you did this" She tells me as she puts a hand around my throat.
"It's Bella. Rose, Rose! I'm Bella!" I try to tell her between breaths.
"You betrayed us!" She yells at me.
"I'm not Katherine!" I tell her, and she slowly releases her hold and I start coughing.
"Bella?"She asks me, as she looks at me carefully.
"It's me, it's Bella" I tell her, and her vampire face starts to disappear.
"Oh my god Bella. I'm so sorry. I don't know what's happening to me. I'm sorry" She apologises to me, but I give her a kind smile to show her that it's OK.
"You're gonna be alright" I tell her as I guide her back to Damon's bed.
"My mind, I'm..." She tries to say but I interrupt her.
"It was just for a second" I tell her as she sits back down on the bed.
"I'm sorry, don't be scared of me" She begs.
"I'm not. I'm not, but you need to rest" I tell her, and she lays down on the bed.
"I'm scared" She tells me, as she squeezes my hand.
"You're not alone. I'm right here" I cooe her.
"Here, where's here?" She asks me confused as she looks around the room a little.
"Damon's bedroom, you're in Damon's bedroom" I explain to her, but she just shakes her head and closes her eyes.
"I want to go home" She tells me.
"Tell me about it" I say to her, hopefully it will get her mind off killing me.
"St. Austell, thirty kilometers south of London. With fields and trees and horses" she tells me, I cant believe she remembers every detail.
"Sounds beautiful" I tell her with a smile, even though she can't see it.
"When you live long enough, everything disappears. So much time wasted, I just wish I wouldn't have been so afraid" She tells me sadly, and slowly drifts off to sleep.
I stand back up to go and look for some clean sheets, but I couldn't find any in Damon room so I went to look in Stefan's. I finally find some in Stefan's wardrobe, and he has alot more colourful clothes than Damon, I think the only thing Damon owns is black. I make my way back into Damon's bedroom with the clean sheets.
"I brought some clean sheets" I say as I enter the bedroom, but when I look up, she's gone.
I place the sheets down on the bed and head down stairs to try and find her, but I have no luck. So I decided to call Damon, but it goes straight to voice mail.
"It's Bella, I'm worried about Rose. I think you should come home" I tell him and hang-up. I start to look round the house more, and I then hear a noise from the Basement so I go down.
"Rose?" I ask as I walk down the stairs, and when I get to the bottom I fund an empty blood bag and pick it up.
I walk further into the basement and I find Rose drinking a blood bag as she stands over a fridge full of more blood bags. I look on the floor around her and there are more empty blood bag's around her.
"Oh my god" I whisper to myself, but she clearly heard me as she looks up at me with veins under her eyes.
"Katerina" She says and she drops the blood bag.
"No" I tell her, but she is already running after me as I run up he stairs "Rose, stop, stop, it's Bella. I'm not Katherine" I tell her as she finally stops chasing me when we get to the parlour room "You're hallucinating. I'm not Katherine. I'm not Katherine" I explain to her.
But she ignores me and suddenly pushes me on the floor, but I look up to the curtains and pull them open. I look at Rose as her skin burns and she runs to a dark corner of the room so I make a run for it.
I try to gets out of the house but Rose stops me and pins me against the wall, and tries to bites me. But I digs my fingers into Rose's wounds on her back, and screams and lets go so I run.
I make it to the first bedroom I see and its Stefan's bedroom, so I lock the door and move a dresser in front of it. I also run over to the window and open it so the sun can enter the room and then I break a wooden chair to make a stake from its leg. I then walk back over to the dresser and sit against it as I start to cry.
"Bella? I know that's you and not Katherine" she says to and starts to cough and groan uncontrollably "Bella? Please, I need your help" She tells me, but I just keep sitting there until I don't hear anything.
After about two hours of silence, the sun starts to set so I decide to leave the room and go down stairs. I look at the front door and it's wide open, I feel someone breath on my neck so I turn round with the stake in my hand and I see Damon. And I immediately pull him into a hug.
"Are you okay? Where's Rose?" He asks me as we I pull away.
"I-I don't know" I tell him as I stutter, and he takes my face into his hands.
"Look, I'm going to look for Rose, you go down to the cellar and lock the door incase you turn, OK?" He asks me gently, and I nod my head slowly. He then kisses my forehead before using vamp speed to go look for Rose.
After a few hours of me sitting in the cell by myself, I still haven't turned so I guess Elijah kept his deal. I suddenly get pulled out of my thoughts when someone opens the door and I see Damon. I quickly stand up and rush over to him and pull him into a hug, and he hugs me back tighter.
"Your not a wolf?" He asks me and I shake my head no as I pull away from the hug.
"Nope, where's Rose?" I ask him a little scared, I really don't want her to try and kill me again.
"She's upstairs resting, she's definitely not going to make by tomorrow" he tells me and I hold his hand in comfort, they've really grown on each other.
"What do we do?" I ask him as I take a deep breath.
"Go" He tells me, what?
"Damon..." I try to say but he cuts me off.
"Just go. I got this" He tells before vamp speeding away from me.
I got into my car about to leave, but then I realised I would be a terrible person if I let him do this on his own. So I walked back in and sat in the library silently until he came back down.
"You were supposed to leave" I hear Damon say as he enters the room and I immediately stand up.
"I did but then I came back to make sure that you're okay" I tell him as I hand him a glass of scotch.
"I appreciate the gesture. I'm just glad it's over" He tells me as he drinks the full glass, he is such a liar.
"You know I don't believe that" I tell him as I take the empty glass away from him.
"Go home, Bella. Get some rest. It's a whole new day tomorrow" He tells me as he steals his glass back and refills it.
"Damon, I'm here for you" I say as I step closer to him.
"I'm well aware of that" He tells me as he walks a few steps away from me with his new glass of scotch.
"I'm here for you, and I can tell your hurting, Damon" I tell him, and he suddenly turn's back around to face
"What do you want to hear? That I cared about Rose? That I'm upset? Well I didn't and I'm not" He tells me as he slams his glass down on the table, but not hard enough so it breaks.
"There you go, pretending to turn it off, pretending not to feel. Damon, stop lying to yourself because everyone may not be able to notice, but I can" I tell with a little anger in my voice at the beginning.
"I feel BellA, okay? And it sucks! What sucks even more is that it was supposed to be me. Jules was coming after me" He tells me as he point to himself.
"You feel guilty" I say as I notice it in his voice.
"That would be human of me, wouldn't it Bella? And I'm not human. You want to talk about giving up? That's all you've done is give up! Go home. It's been enough doom, gloom and personal growth for one night" He tells me as he sits down in the sofa.
"Giving up? Is that what you think I've been doing?" I ask him angrily, and he just stays silent and doesn't even look at me "Well that's what I'll do, I'm giving up on us, Damon" I say before I leave the boarding house and climb into my car.
I sit there for a moment as I let out all of my frustration out by lashing out inside my car.

After driving home, I sat in my car for a few minutes as I wait for the tears to stop streaming down my face.after I wiped away the remaining tears I walked into my house to see Elena and Stefan standing there looking into the kitchen. I look over there shoulders and I see...
