A/N "Her bright eyes remind me, that for once, I have something to live for."

NICOLE GOLD

I look over at my new aquaintance, and she gives me a light smile.

Her name is Kyleen, and she has wonderful bright red hair and dark hazel eyes.

"So, why were you running down the hall anyways?" I question.

"I um.. I was late for something. Class.. I was late for class," she mutters sheepishly.

I give her a curt nod, not quite believing her.

It was my last class when she ran into me this morning, obviously in a rush, and dropped her books and spilled my coffee on the floor. She offered to buy me a new coffee, but I refused and just helped her with her books.

The janitor of the school will take care of the spilled coffee anyways.

After that, she gave me a grateful smile. I offered to walk her to class, and she looked around frantically, before nodding.

There was something wrong with this girl, and I wasn't going to let her go on in fear.

I asked for her name in the process of walking her to her class. And may I say that her name is quite beautiful.

Every so often, she would be giving me grateful smiles, while still looking around the hallways.

"Why are you doing that?" I furrow my eyebrows.

She snaps her head in my direction, giving me a shaky smile, "Doing what?"

"Why are you frantically looking around? Why are you so.. Gittery?" I tilt my head.

She let's out a sigh of frustration, "Um.." She bites her bottom lip, "I was.. attacked by a dog this morning.."

I give her a dead panned look, "So, you really think a dog is just going to.. I don't know.. Burst through those doors as we speak? May I add," I pause, "That we're in a college."

She gives me a pleading look to drop the subject.

I sigh, "Fine. But one day, I'm going to find out. Hard way, or not."

"One day?" She raises an eyebrow.

I nod my head, giving her a smile, "Yeah, we're going to become friends."

She looks around once more, "I don't know.."

"I didn't ask, Kyleen," I roll my eyes.

She gives me a sheepish look, "Sorry."

I snap my head in her direction, this time, "For what?"

She shrugged her shoulders, "Well, this is my class.."

I look at the room number; 207.

I give her a smile, before whipping out a piece of paper from my hand bag, "Have a pen?"

She nods, handing me a pen.

I write down my number, and then hand it to her, "Here's my number if you need anything, text me later today."

She nods once again, before giving me another grateful smile and, unexpectedly, giving me a tight hug.

I stay put for a second, before wrapping my arms around her.

"Thank you," I hear her faint whisper, as she pulls away.

I give her a bright smile, feeling my dimple deepening, "Anytime, Kyleen."

Her bright red hair disappears out of sight as she enters the dark, tan door.

I walk away from the door, and soon enough, run into another person.

Today just wasn't my day, was it?

I look up at the bright blue eyes, and groan.

"Hey Kitten," He gives a cheerful smile.

I glare, "Aren't you supposed to be in Campus A, and not B."

His smile doesn't falter, "Got lost, Cupcake."

I roll my eyes, "Campus A and Campus B are in two totally different buildings, Drew."

He sighs, "Woah," he looks around, "It's amazing how fast I got lost.."

I give him a sharp glare, "Why are you really here?"

He gives me a smile, "I just came here to support my friend, and then maybe take her out for some coffee," he places his arm around my shoulder.

I look up at him, "Support her for what, exactly?"

He looks down at me and smiles, "For all the hard classes she's been taking."

I roll my eyes, "You know, the classes aren't even that rough."

He pouts, "Can't I just be a good friend?"

I laugh, "Whatever you say, Drew."

His pout doesn't falter, and he removes his arm from around my shoulder.

The sudden coldness makes me aware of just how warm he was keeping me.

"Aw, Drew," I coo at him.

He looks down at me, but doesn't say anything.

"I'm sorry, Drew. Of course you're a good friend. But just to be clear," I pause, "I don't remember even agreeing to being your friend."

He gives me a cheeky smile, "Be my friend, Kitten?"

I smile back, "You just made a new friend, Drew Thomson."

He gives me a bright smile, before placing his arm back around my shoulder.

"You never told me why you were actually here."

He hums, "Hm?"

"Why are you in Campus B?" I raise an eyebrow.

He looks up towards the double doors, "I wanted to see you," he shrugs.

I poke his side, "Aw, I'm honored, Drew," I give him a teasing smile.

He rolls his blue eyes, "Don't get used to it, Kitten."

I shrug, "Wasn't planning on it."

He pushes one of the maroon double doors open, before dragging me with him under his arm.

"Wait," I stop, "I gotta go drop my stuff off in my dorm."

He smiles, "Alright, Kitten. Let's go."

I remove his arm from around my shoulder, and take lead towards my dorm room.

I hear a groan of protest, and then feel an arm drape around my waist.

I look up towards the blue eyed boy with brown hair. He gives me a bright smile.

I roll my eyes, but don't protest any longer.

When I reach my dorm, I pull out my keys and unlock the dark wooden door.

The door creaks in agony and protest as I push it open.

I throw my bag on my bed, before heading towards the bathroom to brush my hair and teeth.

I spray a small amount of my Lilac perfume, before stepping out.

The moment I step out, I see Drew comfortably placed on my bed.

His arms are behind his head, and his long legs are sprawled apart.

He gives me a cheeky smile, before removing one of his arms from behind his head, and patting his lap.

I give him a look, as if he just grew three heads.

Drew raises an eyebrow, "Why not?"

I raise an eyebrow back, in challenge, "Why would I sit on your lap?"

He smiles, "Because I want you to."

I roll my eyes, "In your dreams."

"Only you," he winks.

"Okay," I sigh, "You ready to go?"

"To where?"

"For coffee, numb nuts," I roll my blue-green eyes, once again.

He laughs, the vibrations bouncing off the walls and into my ears, "Alright, Kitten."

He hops up, off my bed, and then walks towards me to wrap his arm around my shoulder, once again.

I look up at him, and he's already smiling down at me.

I look away, and blush.

He didn't see it, although.

As I'm closing my door, and locking it, I feel Drew's arm slowly slide off my shoulder.

I look over at him, "Are you oka-"

I'm cut off by Drew shushing me, "Shhh."

I give me a confused look, "What-"

He gives me a sharp glare, "Shut it, Nicole."

He used my name, so I shut up.

"Stay here." he demands.

"Wait, why?" I pull on his arm.

He tugs out of my reach, "Just stay."

He ordered me like I was a dog.

I am not having any of that.

I chase after him, "You do not get to order me like I'm your pet." I cross my arms.

"Gosh, you would be so much easier to handle if you were," He mutters.

I gasp, "Why are we even hiding behing this wall anyways?"

He gives me a glare, "Shut it, Blonde."

I glare back, "I'm not even a natural-"

"Natural blonde, I know. You have told me many times before." He rolls his eyes.

I huff out a large breath, "Drew-"

"Will you please just shut the fuck up?! Gosh, you're so fucking annoying.." He clenches his jaw.

I flinch back, not expecting the outburst.

He looks around the corner once again, "Okay. We're all clear now."

The tension from his body hasn't left, although.

"Drew-" I try again.

He shuts me out, "Let's just go."

"Wait. Why were we hiding?" I pull on his arm.

He looks over his shoulder, "I have enemies," he shrugs off my hand.

I sigh, but follow him anyways.

I wasn't done asking questions.

"You know," I start, "You don't get to hide me, and then call me annoying, and then not expect me not to ask questions."

He stops in his tracks, and turns around.

"You want to know who I was hiding from?" He gives a tense answer.

I slowly nod my head.

"That was Florence Windsor." He clenches his fists.

I tilt my head, "My former classmate, Florence Windsor?"

"The law student? Yes." He tenses.

"He looks nice to me," I shrug.

He takes a threatening step towards me, "Looks can be deceiving, Kitten."

He moves back, before walking towards the doors again.

I follow after him in silence.

He slams the door open for me, still visibly tense.

He let's go of the door, proceeding his route towards his car.

I stop in my tracks after him.

He notices, and turns around, "Coming, Kitten?"

I take slow steps towards him, and he tenses up, once again.

I place my hand on his arm once I'm close enough.

He looks down at me, "Nicole.." he breathes.

I wrap my small arms around his torso, and he slowly returns the embrace.

"Drew," I say.

He hums against me, the vibrations traveling to my body.

"I'm sorry for being nosy."

He kisses the top of my head, "It's okay, Kitten."

I smile, as I release from his arms.

The tension he once had, was now gone.

He wraps his arm around my shoulder, "Let's finally go get some coffee," he smiles.

***

Drew gives me a glare as he wipes the coffee off of his clothes.

I laugh, "Man.. Coffee is just never on my side."

"Why's that?" He mutters.

I laugh again, "Because earlier, a girl ran into me and got my coffee all over the floor in the halls."

"No more coffee for you, then," he gives me a sarcastic smile.

I raise my hand up, "I agree on that one."

"We should go back to the dorms, because now, I smell like coffee. Thanks to you," he narrows his eyes.

I laugh, "It's not my fault you ran into me."

"Right," he starts, "Because I'm the one that was in a rush to go to the bathroom."

"Hey," I defend, "Coffee doesn't settle in well with me. I have to pee the second I drink it.. I'm like a firehose down there."

He rolls his eyes, "Let's just go, Blonde."

I smile, "Alright."

He gets up, and is about to wrap his arm around my shoulder, when I protest, "Ohhh no."

"Why not?" he pouts.

"You have dripping coffee all over you! I'm not going to have you near me when you're soaking," I scrunch my nose in disgust.

He chuckles, "It's not that bad, Kitten."

He tries to wrap his arm around my shoulder again, but I push his arm away.

"Stop it," I chuckle.

He raises an eyebrow, and I smile.

Without me noticing, he grabs my arm and tugs me into a hug.

"Ew!! No! Drew!" I laugh.

His arms wrap around my waist as he starts to move his fingers.

I squeak when he starts to tickle me.

"Ahh! Drew," I laugh out.

He laughs with me, but for a whole 'nother reason.

"I give up! I give up!" I laugh.

"You give up what, Kitten?" He teases.

"You can wrap-" squeak, "Your arm-" squeak, "Around my shoulder!!" I scream out.

He smirks, and moves away from me, "Good."

He places his arm around my shoulder, and I laugh.

"I hate you," I mutter, "Now my clothes are damp and wet," I pout.

"Oh shush. When we get to my dorm, you can borrow some of my clothes," he offers.

"Good, because you owe me. And plus," I pause, "I like bigger clothes."

"I can show you something else that's big," he wiggles his eyebrows.

I roll my eyes, "Let's get back, numb nuts."

He laughs, opening the car door for me.

***

When we make it back to his dorm, he pulls out his keys, and opens the door.

The second I walk in, I'm surrounded by the smell of cologne.

It's not a strong smell, but it's just about noticeable.

I look around the room, and I realize that he's way more organized than me.

"Wow," I sigh out.

"What?" He questions.

"I didn't think that you would be so.. Clean." I admit, my eyes widening.

He rolls his bright blue eyes, "Yes, Kitten. I'm clean."

I give him a sarcastic smile, and he chuckles.

"I'll go get us some clothes," He instructs, "Just sit on the couch and make yourself comfortable."

I look around, and this place is about the size of an actual apartment. How did he land a dorm room this big?

I've never seen one this, well.. Huge.

I look over to my left and I see a faint hallway of a kitchen. My eyes widen.

He has a kitchen in here?

"Here you go, Kitten," he smiles.

My head whips back over towards the boy that's holding clothes for me to put on.

He's already changed, wearing a navy blue shirt with grey sweats now.

I smile back, before asking where the restroom was.

He leads me towards his room, showing me the bathroom connected to the bedroom.

I close and lock the door.

The second his black shirt lands on my body, through my arms, it falls down to my knees.

I smile at how big the T-shirt is on me.

I slip on the boxer shorts he gave me, also, and laugh at how big they are on me.

They land just above my knee, the t-shirt hanging over it.

I step out of the bathroom and into the living room, and the second I do, Drew's eyes are automatically placed on me.

I sheepishly make my wap towards the couch, and he stays put in his spot.

He let's out a breath when I sit next to him.

His eyes turn dark, and I wonder if his eyes were ever blue in the first place.

"Kitten," he breathes.

I push hair out of my face, and place it behind my ear.

"Yes?" I ask.

He stares at me, not saying another word.

I stare back.

His eyes are contemplating what he should do with me.

And I want him to kiss me.

But he doesn't.

Instead, he moves away from me, and sighs out, "Pizza?"

I hide my small disappointment from him, "Sure," I smile, "Sleepover?"

He gives me a cheeky smile, "Sure."
