Ten minutes later, I had practically told him the whole story.
"Do you have a place to stay?" He asked
I nodded, I lied. But whatever, I'll find a hotel somewhere.
"OK.." he said doubtfully. It's like he could tell I was lying.
He must have noticed me shivering, because he took off his jacket and handed it to me. I shook my head and tried to give it back. He just smirked and walked away. I just stood there, trying to make sense of what just happened in the past half hour. I don't think I was anytime soon.
I thought about how I was going to find a hotel. Since the beach was close to downtown. I decided to head there to find a Hotel. The night time streets of downtown Vancouver are pretty scary, but I'm a big girl.
'I'm surprised he didn't notice my bare feet.' I thought to myself. 'Well, maybe he did, but we wasn't about to hand over his shoes, that would just me weird. I swear I knew the guy, not personally, but from somewhere.'
About twenty minutes later, I was sound asleep in a hotel bed, thank God I always keep my wallet with me.
(Sorry for the short chapter, next one will be longer. I promise.)
