(i wrote a long chapter because it was late, sorry everyone. -Busy Author.
(The use of True-Lux is only going to be used to differentiate between Manager-Lux, Training-Lux and Normal Lux. It makes it easier to follow i think.)
(next morning)
Lux woke, had a 'Shower' and got dressed into his Assassins Gear.
Lux quickly left his room as he ate a energy pill.
He walked down the corridor to the main hall.
He leisurely walked over to the Contract board.
He thought to himself "I should pick an apprentice contract this time, the novice contract's are boring.
I need to be challenged."
He then began to skim-read the apprentice contracts and noticed that all the targets were Apprentice level Mages or Warriors.
He looked through the contracts and found one that he liked.
The contract was for a family of 3 Apprentice level warriors, 3 male triplets.
The duration of the contract was for 1 month.
The reward was 500 Assassins Guild points and 3 Gold.
Lux took it from the Board and had it stamped by Ghost, after, he left the Assassin's Guild and returned Home to Starlight Manor.
A small distance from the property Lux sent a mental message to Manager-Lux who was eating breakfast, "Meet me in our bedroom, alone."
Lux then Shadow Cloaked himself and sneaked into the Manor.
He stealthily sneaked his way up the main stairs using shadows to hide and got close enough to his bedroom to teleport inside.
When he appeared in the bedroom, Manager-Lux was waiting patiently in a chair reading a large book open on his knees.
Manager-Lux looks up at True-Lux and says "What did you want to talk about?"
True-Lux sits in a chair facing Manager-Lux and says "I need poisons, write this down.
I need some Paralyzing oil, Sleeping powder, Soot bombs and Blood Thinning oil.
I also need some new equipment.
Blowdart set with 100 adaptable darts with poison grooves and a Blowgun
I also need a Skull Mask with Shadow Cloak and durability inscriptions engraved into it.
It needs to be ready in 2 weeks.
How is the business coming along, how much is our profits?"
Manager-Lux nods his head and says "We have 20 million gold in profits. I have begun to sell Mage rank energy, body healing and soul cultivation pills which are selling greatly as i can create them quickly and don't need to buy ingredients as we have the Garden Space to grow them.
Bassically we are running on a profit only business model.
Our expenditures are less than our profits.
I have been buying land and buildings in Golden City, i have opened numerous medicine stores and hired Some of the minor gangs in the city.
I have outfitted them with weapons and some Warrior Rank Training Methods to improve their strength.
They have begun to expand into weaker gangs territory's.
Now onto business.
I will have your equipment created to my own measurements using a confidential craftsmen as we are too weak to create it ourselves.
For the poisons, i will create them myself to save money.
I have been reading non-stop to increase my knowledge of drugs and their uses.
New strains of plants have appeared since the ancient times, so most of our alchemy knowledge is outdated.
I have been working to fix that by experimenting with different concoctions of plants.
I have created a poison that drives the person into a killing rage that is undetectable, unfortunately the person dies 40 minutes later.
Should be handy for a killer."
True-Lux nods and says "I am an Assassin, not a killer, but yes it would be useful.
I now need to go observe my targets.
They are the Blackrock brothers."
Manager-Lux raises his eyebrow and says "The Blackrock brothers? I have heard of them, they have a history of violent extortion of small shop owners.
They tend to break the legs of all the males in a family to send a message to other families to pay on time.
Be careful, i recommend that you get employed as a servant to gain access to their home.
If one of their servants had an 'accident' on their way home tonight, i am sure they will be looking for a new servant by tomorrow afternoon.
The house is in the Slums near The Old Lady Statue. You will know which house when you get there."
True-Lux thanks Manager-Lux and then leaves Starlight Manor.
Lux travels to the Old Lady Statue in the Slums and sees a 2 floor house painted red with gold letters above the main door which read 'BLACKROCK AND BROTHERS'
Lux shakes his head and mutters "Ok, they are just asking to be killed here in the Slums.
Can't believe they used gold letters."
Lux waited on a roof facing the Blackrock brothers house.
He observed till midnight when a group of servants entered the house and a group began to leave.
He watched the group of servants leaving and began to follow them along the rooftops.
After 20 minutes of following the servants, Lux saw one of the servants, an old man, break away down an alley while waving goodbye to the other servants.
Lux smirks and says quietly "Make it count as it will be your last goodbye."
Lux quietly raises a 10 foot tall 15cm thick earth wall at either end of the alley and drops down into it while shrouded in his shadow cloak.
As He is falling into the alley, the old servant quietly "I must have walked down the wrong alley, wait a moment, where did the entrance go.
HE-!!"
Lux sucks the air from the man's lungs to silence him and slits his throat.
The man gargles on his own blood and falls to the ground.
Lux rummages through the old mans pockets and finds a coin purse with some coppers in it.
He makes the assassination look like a mugging gone wrong then prepares to leave.
Lux climbs back up onto the roof of one of the buildings in the alley.
He then crumbles the earth walls and smooths the rubble back into the ground.
He then leaves the area quickly and returns back to the assassins guild.
When he enters, he walks back to his room, get undressed and falls straight asleep.
(the next day.)
Lux woke, had a shower, got dressed into peasant clothes and exited his room.
Lux traveled to the Blackrock brothers home and saw a job notice on the front door.
So he walked over and knocked on the door.
The door opened instantly and Lux saw a young boy around 8 years old facing him.
The young boy asked "Are you hear about the servant job?"
Lux nodded and said "yes, i need the job as i am an orphan."
The young boy nods and says "come in, I will take you to see Jim Blackrock. He will decide if you get the job."
So Lux and the young boy walk through a small enclosed courtyard with a stone table with chains at all 4 corners, in the center.
They both enter the house and come to a black door which says 'Cellar, No Entry!'.
The young boy opens the black door slightly and shouts "Master Jim, a new servant has arrived!"
A rough voice shouts back "I will decide if they can work here! I am coming up!"
Lux heard heavy footsteps ascending the cellar stairs.
THUD, THUD, THUD.
The Cellar door banged open and Jim Blackrock appeared carrying tortured, bleeding corpse beyond recognition on his shoulder.
Jim Blackrock dropped the corpses on the ground and said "So you want to be a servant for our Blackrock family?
If so, Get rid of this corpse and you are hired."
Lux shrugged and said "Ok, I will be back shortly."
Lux lifted the corpse "difficulty" and began to dragged the corpse to the main courtyard.
Lux saw a wheelbarrow near the main door to the house, he dragged it into the wheelbarrow.
Once the corpse was inside the wheelbarrow, the arms and legs were overspilling out of it.
Lux says "The arms and legs need to come off. Better use my dagger."
Lux took his dagger from his vault bracelet and began to cut the arms and legs of the Corpse.
He started at the joints and placed to severed limbs on top of the corpse's chest.
When he is finished, he grabs a dirty cloth which he covers and tucks into the wheelbarrow to hide the corpse.
With that he pushes the wheelbarrow out the main door and begins to walk towards The Old Town Graveyard.
As Lux is making his way through the city, he notices that the Young Boy he met at the main door to Blackrock house is following him.
Lux thinks to himself "Seems i am begin tested by Jim Blackrock.
They probably want to blackmail me with this corpse later on so i can't leave their employment.
Good thing this is only a disguise."
Lux continued to the Old Town Graveyard where he saw a funeral taking place.
Lux is struck with an idea, what if he hid the corpse underneath a coffin, no one would think to look under another corpse.
Lux waits for the funeral to finish and the Greavers to leave the graveyard.
Once they are gone, Lux sneaks over to the grave before the gravediggers come to fill in the grave.
Lux climbs into the grave and opens the coffin, he sees an old woman wearing some expensive jewellery lying inside.
So he takes the jewellery and begins to place the Corpse limbs and chest on top of the old woman and closes the lid shut.
Lux quickly exits the grave and walks back Blackrock house with the wheelbarrow and cloth.
When He knocks on the main door, the Young Boy who was following him abswers and says "Has the 'problem' been dealt with?"
Lux nods and says "Yes it has, no-one will find it."
The young boy opens the door and lets Lux inside.
When Lux enters, he sees Jim Blackrock sitting at a small table, drinking wine and eating a large roasted chicken.
Lux walks over to Jim Blackrock and says "I have taken care of the 'Problem'. Will i be hired?"
Jim Blackrock nods and says "Using grave to hide the 'problem' is pretty smart, where did you get the idea?"
Lux shrugs and says "Well no-one will look for a 'problem' in a grave as that is illegal. The rich hate people robbing their ancestors graves.
Here is the jewellery the original occupant was wearing, 2 rings and a necklace."
Lux lightly throws a small bag on the table next to Jim Blackrock.
Jims opens the bag and says "Thanks for the gift. You are hired, you will attend to my needs, whatever i need, you to do. Understand?"
Lux nods and says while smiling "Of course my lord.
What do you require of me?"
Jim Blackrock says "For now, clean my 2 brothers room's, for now that is all you need to do.
They are sneaking into the city next week so you are to clean it everyday till they arrive. Go."
Lux nods and says "where are their rooms?"
Jim Blackrock shrugs and says "That is your problem, look for it."
Jim Blackrock then continued to eat his chicken and ignored Lux.
Lux bows and walks away, he begins to wander the house.
He makes sure to learn the layout of the house perfectly incase he needs to escape or break-in.
As Lux is wandering he sees the Young Boy from earlier walking towards him and says "what is your name?"
The young boy says "Mars, they call me Mars. What is Yours?"
Lux says "My name is Lux."
Mars nods at Lux and says "The house is split into 3 parts, on the far left is Master Jim's Bedroom, in the middle is Master Jack's bedroom and on the far right is Master James's bedroom. They all have golden doors.
Hope that helps."
Mars then walked away past Lux before he could say goodbye.
Lux shrugs and continues his wandering of the house.
As sunset nears, Lux enters Jack Blackrock's bedroom which is empty and cleans it with wind and rain magic.
Lux then evaporates all the Water using his fire magic.
Lux opens a window and pushes all the water vapour out the window.
Lux does the same with James Blackrock's bedroom.
Finished with his task and having memorised every inch of the house, he begins to study the other servants and bodyguards schedules, while looking for flaws.
Lux immerses himself so much in being a servant that he barely noticed that week had already passed.
He only realised because he heard Jim Blackrock talking about how his 2 brother were sneaking into the city tonight and how he was going to meet them.
Lux smiles at the opportunity that had been given to him, he could kill all three brothers in one place.
Lux mutters to himself "I need my Gear."
Lux leaves the Blackrock house and runs through the city at his fastest pace till he reaches Starlight Manor.
True-Lux send a a message to Manager-Lux and says "Is my equipment ready?"
Manager-Lux nods, points and says "It was delivered this morning.
Also i have given you enough poison to kill the entire city so don't drop any into the water supply.
The stuff is in that chest over there in the corner."
True-Lux walks over to chest and begins to look it over.
True-Lux then places the Chest inside his Vault bracelet and returns to the assassin's guild.
He enters his bedroom and gets changed into his Assassin's Gear.
Lux then takes the chest from the Vault Bracelet and opens it.
Lux takes out his Skull mask and puts it on.
He then straps on the blowdart set to his shoulders, hips, wrists and thighs.
With over 100 darts about his body, Lux begins to one by one, fill them with different poisons.
Once he is ready he sprints out the assassin's guild and returns to the rooftop facing Blackrock house.
Lux watches the house till he sees Jim Blackrock stride out with a swagger so large he hits a passing peasant child.
Jim Blackrock walks away into deepest part of the Slums while Lux follows from the rooftops while shrouded in Shadow Cloak.
Jim walks till he reaches a 3 floored Inn which is built into the City's Wall which circles the city.
Jims walks inside, passing 2 guards at the entrance with swords on tgeir right hips.
Lux watches from a far and sees an small open window on the 2nd floor which is dark inside.
Lux takes a run-up and jumps using wind magic to push him into the air.
As Lux is in mid air, he teleports inside the room on the other side of the small window.
Lux lands quietly and uses his Dark Vision spell.
Lux looks about and sees a woman sleeping in the bed next to him.
Lux takes a sleep poison dart from his shoulder and lightly pricks her with it.
The woman moans and rolls over.
Lux sees that she is naked underneath the blanket but doesn't take notice.
He sneaks over to the room door and looks through the keyhole, he sees a man sitting on a chair next to a lamp directly outside the room door.
Lux internally grumbles at his bad Luck, he takes his blowgun and places it through the keyhole and fires a sleeping dart into the guard neck.
Lux then opens the quickly but silently and grabs the guard before he can hit the ground.
Lux undresses the guard till he is naked and places him in a spoon shape with the naked woman.
Lux puts on the guards uniform over his assassins gear and tries to make it fit the best he can while still allowing his to grab poison darts.
When Lux is ready, he exits the room and walks down the stairs.
He sees that the stairs also lead to the basement so he continues to walk down the stair.
As he is nearing the bottom he hears Jim blackrock laughing with 2 other men.
Lux thinks "Those must be his brothers, i should use the Rage poison, make them kill themselves then die later on."
Lux crouches and readies his blowgun.
Lux leans forwards till he can just see the 3 brothers and fires a Rage poison dart into Jim Blackrocks spine.
He then quickly hides again.
Jim Blackrock stretches and says "So what is the plan brothers, are we going to kill some weak shop keepers?"
One of the brothers says "I don't mind, do you James?"
James Blackrock shrugs and says "It has been days since i last killed someone. Ok, but send for a servant to bring us some wine. "
Lux runs silently up the stairs to the 2nd floor and begins to casually walk back down them.
As Lux is decending, he see James Blackrock walking up from the basement.
James Blackrock sees Lux and says "You guard, bring me and my brothers some wine now."
Lux nods and James walks back down the stairs to the basement. As he is walking away, Lux hears him say tiredly "He's a bit small for a guard, the people Jim hires keep getting worse."
Lux walks into the inn and asks for a bottle of wine for the Blackrock brothers.
The innkeeper nods hurriedly and hands 2 bottles over with metal cups.
Lux smiles and accepts them.
As Lux is decending the stairs to the basement, he shoves 4 Blood-thinning poison darts through the cork of both bottles.
As Lux enters the basement he allows the brothers to ignore him and begins to pour them some wine.
Lux then exits the basement.
Lux waits on the stairs and listens.
Lux hears the brothers praising the wine and the sound of the bottle pour even more.
When they had finished the last bottle, Lux hears Jim Blackrock punch his brother James.
James shouts "What the Fuck, Jim?!!"
Jim shouts "You always finish the wine, argh, take this!"
James shouts "Jim! Stop we are your brother may the gods damn it!"
SWISH
James shouts "Why am i bleeding so much? did you use poison on you dagger?!! I will kill you!!!"
Lux listens as the fight escalates.
After 20 minutes, the basement falls silent.
Lux walks back down into the basement and sees Jack Blackrock is the only one alive.
He is leaning against the wall with a dagger in his stomach.
James Blackrock's corpse is covered in blood which has spilled across the whole floor.
Jim Blackrock's corpse is lying on his back with Pale red foam emitting from his mouth.
Jack Blackrock sees Lux and says tearfully "i need help, i am about to die.
Jim just went crazy.
Help me up."
Lux walks closer to Jack Blackrock and says "I will help you to the Sea of reincarnation."
Luc streaches out his hand to Jack Blackrock's shoulder, as it nears Jack's shoulder it begins to emit a black light.
Jack says "What do you mean help to the sea of reincar- HEL-!!"
As Jack begins to scream for help, Lux touchs Jack with his death magic covered hand.
Jack begins to rot before Lux's eyes at a frightening rate of decomposition.
When Lux is finished, he does the same to Jim and James Blackrock.
He then leaves the basement and climbs the stairs to the room he originally entered.
Lux sees the guard and the woman had begun to cuddle in their sleep as he opened door.
Lux takes off the guards uniform and climbs out the window.
He then stealthily climbs the building till he reaches the roof.
He then runs a leaps as high as he can.
While in midair he uses his wind magic and teleportation to travel to a far away rooftop.
When he lands, he eats some energy pills and then returns home to the Assassin's Guild.
When he enters he walks over to Ghost at her desk and says "I have completed the Blackrock Brothers contract."
Ghost's eyes open in shock and says "How? Actually doesn't matter, it will be verified."
Lux nods and returns to his room where he gets undressed and falls asleep.
