God dammit. That pisses me off. I knew I had seen her. She was the girl with the bruises all over her face. The girl I wanted to just pull into my arms. She looked so hurt. I don't get how she could be the schools whore. She flinched at every move I made. She seemed broken.
She walked into the nurses office and I went back to my smoke room and pulled out a cigarette.
Me- hey dude
Brian- hey man
Me- hey you know that Skylar girl?
Brian- yeah..we just moved next to her. Nasty right?
Me- whys that?
Brian- dude she's had sex with like half the school.
I shook my head and anger rose in me. I put my phone down and lit the cigarette. I took a deep drag off of it.

I got out of the nurses office. I had a small sprain. The ice and brace helped it. I walked out and towards my class. Once school was over I walked home. Emma was sitting on my porch and stood when she saw me. She ran up to me. I flinched and she didn't see it, thank god.
"Hey!" She smiled, "I'm sorry about my brother. He's a real jerk sometimes. Would you like to come over?"
"I..I really shouldn't," I looked down.
"Oh come on," she begged, "please!!"
"Umm o..ok," I nodded.
She clapped her hands and pulled me inside.
"Why is she here?" Brian asked.
"Me and Skylar are friends," she sneered, "and we are going upstairs to watch a movie."
She ran up the stairs and I followed her. I entered her room and was in awe. Her room was so bright and inviting. Sparkled and sequins. A happy place. A place I wish I had..
"So!" She smiled, "what do you want to do?"
"Um..I..I don't know," I shook.
"Go ahead and sit down," she said, "the bed doesn't bite."
I smiled small and then sat down. Her blankets were soft and fuzzy. Another thing I would like but will probably never have.
"Oh," she said, "next Saturday there is a party. I was wondering if you'd like to come!"
"I..I don't know," I shook, "I don't really go out. I don't have many friends."
"I don't either," she shook, "since you're like my one and only friend I thought we could go together."
"I..I can't," I shook.
"Oh please," she begged.
I shook my head no. There was no way my dad would allow that. Absolutely no way. We watched a movie and I went home. It was nice having a friend. She was my only friends. Bubbly and so pretty.
How does she have no friends?
She's nothing like me. Her life is so great and happy. Mine is terrible and sad.
I looked at the clock and got started on dinner. My dad went shopping yesterday. Mostly beer and other alcoholic beverages but some food. She gave me her number today. I just put it away. I don't have a phone. My dad won't allow it.
After that I went upstairs and just went to bed. Today sucked..but it always does. I'll just sleep and not think about anything.
