a week later
tyler's pov
dylan arrived home one night with one of his friends. i don't talk to his friends and usually avoid eye contact so they won't see my bruises.
"hey, slut! i'm home. josh is here." i've only met josh once and that's when dylan wasn't abusive. he doesn't like making eye contact and he seemed like a decent human being. dylan barged into the bedroom where i was laying, watching the tv intently.
"move." he pinched my left arm and i winced.
"i'm gonna go out and get some drinks. it's just a couple blocks away." dylan yelled as he walked out the door.
"are you okay, tyler?" our eyes connected and he rushed over to where i was sitting on the ground.
"he does it all the time, i'm fine." my voice was coarse. he wrapped me in a hug and didn't let go for a while.
