Emraude groaned as her agent explained to her the next photoshoot she would be doing. As the best female footballer in the world, currently, she had to do a photoshoot with the man many considered to be the best male footballer in the world, currently. And it wasn't the man Emraude had married, the man she would have much rather done the photoshoot with. She'd have to do the photoshoot with CR7, Cristiano Ronaldo. She didn't have anything against the Real Madrid man, and her husband himself had admitted several times to the press that he expressed no ill will against him as well. Still, nearly everyone compared the two and Emraude having to do a photoshoot with him was not going to sit well with the general populace of the football world.
Emraude was a little nervous as to how Lionel would react to the new information. He wasn't a jealous man and hadn't really been one for as long as Emraude and him and been in a relationship. However, with him not winning the Ballon D'or again as Cristiano nabbed his second consecutive one, along with international and domestic pressures as he tried to fulfill every expectation thrown at him, Emraude knew that the stress was starting to eat at him.
Curling up on the couch, Emraude placed her phone on the coffee table and huffed in annoyance, running a hand through her hair. Hearing her angry exhales, Leo poked his head into the room. "Are you okay?" he asked, walking to sit next to his wife.
"I just got a phone call. I have a photoshoot next week," Emraude started out. "Sports Illustrated wants me to do a shoot with Cristiano Ronaldo and apparently it's going to be somewhat intimate," Emraude continued, placing air quotes around intimate. Leo raised an eyebrow at her words, an unreadable expression crossing his face. "How would you feel about me doing it?"
"It's your life and your decision, not mine," Leo said softly. "But, if you were to go through with this, I'd be able to come and be there, right?"
"Of course," Emraude smiled as Leo wrapped his arms around her.
"Then as long as he doesn't try to take off your wedding band, that's all that matters," Leo chuckles, pressing a kiss to her forehead. The day of the photoshoot rolled around and Emraude took Leo's hand as the two walked into the studio. Greeting the people there for the photoshoot, Emraude was quickly led to hair and makeup as Leo found himself standing in the middle of the studio with no idea of what to do with himself.
Emraude meanwhile was silently gagging as they put several pounds of makeup onto her face. Growing up, there was just not any point to putting on makeup if she was just going to sweat it off, especially if she was trying to prove to just about every boy out there that she could play football just as well as any of the boys. After they finished with the makeup and fixed her hair, which the hairstylists muttered look atrocious especially with the deep pony tail rut that had formed in her hair after years of wearing her hair in solely ponytails for most of her life.
They quickly fixed her hair to their standards and hurried her to wardrobe. Looking at what they had laid out for her, Emraude's stomach dropped a little. This was going to be a somewhat beach photoshoot and she cursed herself for not putting the pieces together. Pulling on the bikini and pulling the cover up on as well, Emraude walked out of the wardrobe room and towards where her agent and Leo were standing, talking softly.
"Why are you wearing a robe?" her husband asked softly, raising an eyebrow at his wife. Emraude sighed and showed Leo what she was wearing underneath, causing a look that she could only categorize as jealousy and overprotectiveness to flash across his features. Especially when Cristiano walked over to her. Quickly retying the robe, Emraude plastered a smile on her face and turned around to greet the Portuguese man.
"Hi, Cristiano, how are you?" she asked, extending her hand for him to shake.
"Good. I don't believe we've ever met face to face before," he smiled back, shaking her hand lightly.
"I'd have to agree with that, though we must have seen each other once or twice before," Emraude stated, pulling her hand back to her side. Cristiano looked behind her to lock eyes with Leo, who tried to mask the murderous glare he was sending towards Cristiano's head moments before.
"How are you, Lionel?" Cristiano asked.
"I'm good, and you?" Leo managed to breathe out. Luckily for the three of them, the photographer walked over to collect Cristiano and Emraude for the shoot. Emraude pressed a quick kiss to Leo's lips before following the photoshoot people outside to the ocean. The scenery was beautiful and Emraude silently admired it before being told to remove her robe and get into position.
Both Cristiano and Emraude did a few photos where they were by themselves, and Leo was visibly calm while he was closer to his wife than Cristiano. That was soon changed when they had to start the photos together. "Both of you, wrap your arms around the other's waist." Emraude glanced quickly at her husband as Cristiano wrapped an arm around her waist, drawing her closer. The murderous glare was back as Emraude's agent tried to calm the Argentine.
Thankfully, the intimacy never reached a level where Emraude would have been uncomfortable, the most questionable pose having been the pose where she was on Cristiano's shoulders as the both of them showed off their muscles. The photoshoot was quickly over and Emraude quickly pulled the robe back on. Walking over to her husband, she hugged him as he visibly relaxed as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I love you and only you," she whispered into his ear.
"I know, I love you too," Leo replied, kissing her softly. Emraude smiled and after bidding Cristiano goodbye, she allowed Leo to drag her to the car, his hand never being disconnected from her own.
