Cara laughed as she picked up her little nephew from school. She would be meeting up with Cristiano at the studio where he would be giving an interview for some TV talk show about the season with Real and other things that went on in his life. Cara and Junior had been invited to come by the TV talk show producer and both had accepted, though Cristiano was a little concerned about bringing his child onto a TV show.
Loading Junior into his car seat, Cara jogged around to the driver's seat and drove to the TV studio. Flashing the guard the pass the TV producer had sent them, Cara drove through and parked in the back lot of the studio. Getting out of the car, Cara quickly unbuckled Junior before taking him by the hand and pulling him towards the TV producer that was waiting to escort them to hair and makeup.
Cara smiled at the woman as she and Junior approached. "Hi, I'm Cara Aveiro and this is Cristianinho," Cara introduced, having to tug a shy Junior out from behind her.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Isabella, and if you'll just follow me, I'll get the both of you to hair and makeup and then you can wait with Cristiano in his room until the show starts."
"Sounds great," Cara replied, following the woman into the busy and bustling studio. Sitting patiently in the chair, Cara allowed the makeup artist and hair stylist doll her up and Junior looked around the room confused.
"Tia, what are they doing?"
"They're making me look all pretty for TV," Cara responded, smiling at her nephew.
"But you're already pretty, Tia," he stated, causing Cara to smile wider. Pinching his cheek teasingly, Cara chuckled.
"Did your Pai tell you that one?" she asked. Junior nodded, causing Cara to laugh again. After Cara was finished, Isabella led them to Cristiano's room. Opening the door, Cara allowed Junior to run in first before she shut the door behind her. Both greeted Cristiano before they waited around and talked. A producer eventually came into the room to collect Cristiano for the main interview, as Cara and Junior would be making guest appearances later on.
Eventually, Isabella returned to the room to collect Junior and Cara. Cara thanked her before the two stepped out onto the stage. Cheers from the studio audience filled the room as Cara and Junior made their way over to the couch where Cristiano was already sitting. After greeting the host of the show, Cara and Junior sat down on the couch, Junior being sandwiched in between the youngest Aveiro siblings.
"Welcome to the show tonight, Cara and Junior," the host welcomed.
"Thank you for having us," Cara smiled. The host then turned to Junior and asked him a few quick questions before turning to Cara.
"So, Cara, you're no stranger to the limelight. Tell us about your love life these past years, and Cristiano, feel free to add in your own opinion as we go," the host stated, causing Cara to withhold a scoff and an eye roll. She wanted what had happened in the past to stay in the past and she didn't get the point of bringing it up over and over again.
"Well, right now I'm happily in a relationship and have been for the past two and a half years with my boyfriend Bastian Schweinsteiger," Cara replied, smiling at the thought of her boyfriend.
"Tell us, Cristiano, how does it feel to have your sister dating another footballer?"
"I was a little hesitant at first, I'm not going to lie," Cristiano said, "but he's a good man and he treats her very well. He makes her happy and that's good enough for me." The host nodded his head.
"Now, Cara, this isn't your first celebrity relationship that the paparazzi and the media have picked up on. Do the names Harry Styles and Joe Jonas ring any bells?" Cara let out a short laugh before shaking her head.
"Yeah I guess they do. Though I never really had a full relationship with either of them. I only went out two of three times with Harry and Joe ran away after he met Cristiano," Cara chuckled, turning to her older brother.
"Ran away?" the host asked astonished.
"I didn't really like the guy," Cristiano admitted, "he didn't hit me as one of the best guys for my baby sister and I wasn't afraid to tell him that and he ended things with her almost immediately after that."
"And did this affect the relationship between the two of you?"
"Not really," Cara replied, "I mean I was mad at him for like a week but I didn't really care after that because I hadn't even been dating Joe for two full months at this point so it didn't really affect our relationship in a bad way."
"How did you react when she brought home Bastian, Cristiano?"
"I was a little surprised and apprehensive, but again, I respect him as an opponent and as my sister's long term boyfriend. He's a great guy and I hope that they'll continue to be together because they make each other very happy," Cristiano stated.
The host ended the interview after that and the show cut to a commercial break. Cristiano and Cara thanked the host before walking off the stage and back towards the room where they had left all of their stuff. "That was boring," Junior complained, running ahead of his father and aunt.
"More like painfully annoying," Cara scoffed.
"Eh, it's done and over with so why don't we go home now and get something to eat?" Cristiano suggested, earning a quick sound of agreement from his son and sister. The three left the studio and arrived and Cristiano's house. Seeing a familiar figure standing on the doorstep, Cara smiled and got out of the car, walking up to her boyfriend to greet him.
"I saw the interview," Bastian smiled, pressing a quick kiss to Cara's lips.
"Ugh, the guy was pissing me off," Cara muttered as Cristiano and Junior piled out of Cristiano's car behind the two of them.
"I brought ice cream if that makes you feel better," Bastian smiled. Cara smiled and leaned up to kiss her boyfriend once more.
