Manik had accepted Nandini's challenge but he didn't know how he would enter the girls hostel.
He was thinking of a plan to sneak into Nandini's room when an idea struck in his mind.
Manik choose the easiest but not the safest way.
It was almost 7pm . Nandini was in her room taking down notes of the days lecture which the professor had given her on Manik's request.
Nandini had full confidence that Manik won't be able to enter the hostel so she was relaxed.
When she was totally immersed in her studies when someone knocked the door.
Nandini immediately looked at the door and thought it was Manik. She panicked.
The door knocked again. This time Nandini went and opened the door.
The person entered the room and Nandini closed the door.
Person - Hey Nandini . Kya kar rahi thi.
Nandini - Kuch nai bas aj ke lecture ke notes bana rahi thi.
Person - Yaar tum kitni boring ho. Har baar notes aur padhai hi karti rehti ho. Anyways aaj mai mere friends ke sath party me jaarahi hu so I won't be able to come back till early morning. To tumhe akele hi rehna hoga aaj room me. Manage karlogi na. Darogi to nahi.
Nandini - Ofcourse I will manage Pooja tum aise kyu puch rahi ho.
(Sorry to disappoint you guys it was Pooja, Nandini's roommate.😉😁)

She winked at Nandini and left the room closing the door behind.
Nandini was confused as to why Pooja had wished her good luck.
She chucked it and went back to her books.
After half an hour Nandini again heard a knock.
She went and opened the door but there was no one.
Nandini heard the knock again and realized that it was coming from the window.
She went and opened the window and to her shock it was Manik.
Manik - Hello Miss Murthy.
Nandini's eyes popped out of their sockets on seeing Manik there.
Manik - Ab dekhti hi rahogi ya mujhe andar aane dogi.
Nandini - Huhhh.....
Manik - What Huhhh? Side me hato. Let me get in. Warna koi dekhlega.
Nandini stepped aside and allowed Manik to get in.
Nandini - Manik..... tum .....yahan...
Manik - Haan Nandini. Main.... Yahan...
He imitated her.
Nandini - Tum yahan kyu aaye aur kaise aaye.
She said all this in panic mode.
Manik - Arey..... Tumne hi toh bulaya tha. Bhul gayi.
Nandini - Maine kab bulaya.
Manik - Challenge to kiya tha na. Aur Manik Malhotra kabhi challenge nahi harta.
He said all this raising his collar.
Nandini - Tum yahan upar aaye kaise.
Manik - Main.... mai to tumhare hostel ki building ke pipe se chadke aaya hu.
Sirf tumhare liye....(He said this in full on dramatic mode)
Nandini - Manik tum jao yahan se . Koi dekhlega to problem hojayegi.
Manik went and lied on Nandini's bed and said- No . Now that I have completed your challenge successfully, we have to practice now.
Nandini - But Manik koi aajayege.
Manik - Koi nahi aayega. Sab kuch sorted hai.
Nandini - Sorted hai? Matlab.
Manik - Matlab ke tumhare hostel ki warden hostel me nahi hai. Aur tumhari roommate bhi party me gayi hai. So koi nahi hai Hume disturb karne wale.
Nandini - Haan Par......
Then she realised what Manik said.
Nandini Ek minute. Tumhe kaise pata ki hamari roommate bahar gayi Hui hai.
Manik - Because I had sent her out.
Nandini - But Manik this is cheating.
Manik got up from the bed and started walking towards her .
Nandini started to walk backwards until she hit the wall.
Manik came close to her and kept his hands on the wall on either sides of Nandini caging her completely.
Manik - Cheating or no cheating. I am right in front of you so I win. Let's practice now.
Nandini - But Manik......
Manik kept his index finger on her lips and said- Shhhh....... No more arguments.
He brought his face close to hers and eyed her lips.
Nandini closed her eyes in anticipation.
Manik smiled seeing his effect on Nandini.
Then he whispered in her ears- Nandini......So shall we start?
Nandini came out of her trance and opened her eyes and said- What?
Manik - Dance practice aur kya.
Nandini - Oh Haan. Let's practice.
She pushed him away from her lightly and was about to go when Manik held her wrist and said- Waise tum kya soch rahi thi. Bolo.
Nandini N..Nai ku.....Kuch bhi to nai. Mai bhi dance ki baat kar rahi thi.
Manik - Really!!!!!
Nandini - Yes.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
Manik left Nandini's hand immediately.
Nandini - Oh no. Shayad warden aagayi hai.
Warden from outside - Nandini darwaza kholo..
Nandini panicked.
Nandini - Manik jaldi se hide somewhere.
Manik - But Where?
Nandini - Bed ke neeche.
Manik - No way . Mai bed ke neeche nahi chupne wala.
Nandini - To washroom me.
Manik - Nope...
Nandini - Manik tum itne relaxed kaise reh sakte ho. Please hide na.
Manik - Ok. But not in the washroom.
Nandini - Ok then cupboard me chupjao.
Manik - Let me think......
Nandini - Manik plz don't make it difficult for me. Plz chupo na jaldi se.
Warden - Nandini open the door. Itni der kyu lagrahi hai.
Nandini hid Manik forcefully in the cupboard.
Manik - Mai yahan oxygen ki kami se marjaunga. Phir mere death ka blame tum Par aajayega soch lo.
He said this in dramatic tone.
Nandini - Ha ha. Very funny. Tumhe aise Time pe mazak soojh raha hai. 2 min cupboard me Rehne se koi Marta nahi hai. Samjhe.
Saying this she closed the cupboard door.
Nandini opened the door and asked - Kya baat hai Madam.
Warden - Door kholne me itni der kyu lagadi tumne.
Nandini - Madam wo.... wo.. mai..... washroom me thi na. Isliye.
Warden - Acha theek hai. Mai to bas tumhara id card dene aayi thi. Now you can stay in the hostel without any fuss. Saari formalities complete hogayi hai.
Nandini - Oh. Thank you so much madam. Thats so kind of you.
Warden - Welcome. Acha mai chalti hu. Darwaza ache se bandh karlena. Good night.
Nandini - Ji. Good Night.
Nandini closed the door and heaved a sigh of relief.
Then she remembered that Manik was hiding in the cupboard.
Nandini rushed to the cupboard and opened it quickly and found Manik unconscious.
She with difficulty took him to bed and made him lie down.
Nandini slapped lightly on Manik's cheeks to wake him up.
Nandini - Manik utho... Manik.
But Manik didn't respond.
Nandini sprinkled water on his face but still no response.
Nandini started to panic.
She had tears in her eyes.
Nandini - Manik please utho na. Kya hua tumhe.
Nandini to herself- Mujhe doctor ko phone karna chahiye. Mere wajah se Manik ko sach me kuch ho to nahi gaya.
Nandini was about to dial the number whe Manik held her hand.
He opened his eyes and saw Nandini's panic stricken face.
He started to laugh.
Nandini - Manikkkkk..... ye tumhe mazak Lagta hai. Pata hai mai kitna dar gayi thi. Aisa bhi koi karta hai kya. Jao mai tumse baat nahi karungi.
Saying this she turned her face to the other side.
Manik - Acha Baba sorry. Aage se kabhi aisa nahi karunga. Is baar maaf kardo.
Manik held his ears.
Nandini turned towards him and said- Pakka na. Fir kabhi aisa mazak nahi karoge mere sath. Promise me.
Manik - Haan promise.
Nandini smiled and said- Ok ab yeh sab bahut hogaya. Let's start the practice.
