My eyes open to bright sunshine and my thoughts focus on Logan.
My morning routine goes smoothly and soon I enter Logan's room again.
"Hey Logie", I say and kiss his lips softly.
"Hey Nessie," he doesn't sound convincingly.
"How are you?" I ask him.

"You haven't been paralyzed, have you?" he asks again.

"You can't know what it's like if you haven't experienced it yourself," Logan's voice is quite harsh now.
"Please, would you let me finish?" I beg him. "I know you need time to get used to this difficult situation. Honey, please, be honest with me. I just wanna hear the truth."
"Okay," Logan sighs. "I'm quite fine."
Suddenly, something moves under the cover. I must be dreaming, Logan's paralyzed...
"Glad to hear that," I reply.
The same movement under the covers, af if he moved his toes... Well, I'm going crazy or maybe...
"Please, do this again," I demand.
"I'm sorry, Nessie, I've no idea what you're talking about right now," he seems surprised. "I can only do this, Honey," he says, slowly sitting up on his hospital bed. "Ta-daa. My only physical ability that has somehow remained... Woah, woah, woah..." now he noticed what I meant. "Did you see? I really moved my toes, REALLY!" tears roll down his pale cheek.
"Yes, I did!" I say, hugging Logan pretty tightly. "I'm so proud of you, Logie."
"How's it possible?" he asks me while hugging me.
"Some kind of recovery may occur within 72 hours after the accident," I recall some possible medical explanation.
