Harry's P.O.V~
"Proposing?" I clarified, to which Niall nodded, but looked away, clearly embarrassed as his cheeks flared up.
"I think it would be amazing," I smiled. Niall looked over at me, smiling just as big.
"Really?" He asked me and I nodded.
I couldn't believe he was actually considering this. Marriage this young? It never would have crossed my mind, but I can see the way Niall looks at her. He truly loves her. I just thought if one of us got married, the first one would be Liam or Louis.
I couldn't help but be happy for him. He finally found a girl that didn't intend on playing with his heart like it was a toy. He's always been led on by girls and ended up broken hearted. He didn't even want to date anymore at one point. Cassidy had been through the ringer as well, especially with her abusive ex-boyfriend. No one should have to go through that, especially not as sweet and kind as she is.
Niall is my best friend and Cassidy is my best girl friend. I knew that if Niall popped the question, Cassidy wouldn't hesitate to say yes. She was turning 19 tomorrow, and unless she felt like they were too young, she really wouldn't have a reason to turn him down if he asked.
I knew that if Cassidy was secretly overhearing my conversation with Niall right now, she would be freaking out and unable to hide how happy and surprised she would be. I really wished she was awake and not still unconscious. They had stitched up her side yesterday, all because a girl that couldn't stand her decided to stab her. I swear, if I ever see that blonde haired she witch again, I would murder her.
That's when I remembered I would have to see her again if they decided to take Mia to court.
"Niall, you're planning on taking Mia to court for this, right?" I asked, "We have to involve the police at this point."
"I honestly haven't thought that far ahead," Niall sighed, "Do you think we would win?"
"Well, to win, we're going to need all the proof we can get. Maybe we could go down to the grocery store and see if they have surveillance footage of the accident." I told him.
Niall nodded, "Yeah, that sounds good to me. Maybe we can also see what car she was driving to track her down. Did she drive away? Maybe she ran? I can't think straight." He began rubbing his forehead.
"Don't think too hard about it right now, Ni." I told him, "You've been through enough. Focus on something else, like um.. when is Cassidy supposed to wake up?"
"Harry!" Niall yelled, "That's it! Cassidy probably knows exactly who stabbed her! When she wakes up, she'll be able to tell the story herself and claim it was Mia."
"That's right!" I agreed, "Cassidy probably knows a lot more than she's able to tell us."
Niall's face fell, turning back to look at Cassidy. "I really wish she was awake, Harry."
"I know, she'll wake up soon." I told him, but he shook his head. His face twisted, portraying an emotion I wasn't sure how to exactly describe.
"Harry, you just don't understand how much I want her back. I would do absolutely anything to see her moving again, to hear her voice, to hear her laugh. I just want to feel her hug me, kiss me, tell me that everything is going to be okay. I miss my best friend." Niall cried, "I miss her so much. She's the first girl I've ever truly loved, and I'm so terrified that she's going to slip away."
Then I knew what that face was for.
He broke.

Perrie's P.O.V~
I took another sip of my caramel frappé and sighed. I'm still beyond sad. Even a coffee date with Ana and Eleanor in Starbucks isn't enough to take my mind off of Cassidy.
"I still can't believe all this," I told them. Ana nodded and Eleanor looked down.
"It's just seems too surreal," Eleanor agreed.
"I never though Mia would go this far," Ana told us, "I always knew she was crazy and jealous, but I never expected she would physically harm any of us."
I zoned out for a second, continuing to think about the whole situation as Ana spoke up, "I almost forgot that her birthday is tomorrow."
"Oh my god, she's going to be in the hospital for her nineteenth birthday!" Eleanor yelled exasperatedly, "She may not even be awake to celebrate!"
I sighed, but then I felt my phone vibrate. I hoped for good news from Niall, but it was Leigh Anne.
"Hello?" I answered.
"We have a photo shoot in one hour, make sure you're there on time!" Leigh-Anne told me.
"I'll be there, don't worry." I told her, hanging up.
"I have to go. I have a photoshoot," I told them, getting up and grabbing my jacket, "If anything happens concerning Cassidy, don't hesitate to call me."
Ana nodded, "We'll let you know."

Liam's P.O.V~
"Hey, Niall," I said, walking into Cassidy's hospital room. He looked up at me and his eyes were a little red, giving off the impression that he hadn't slept very much.
"Did you sleep last night?" I asked him.
He weakly sighed, "As much as I could."
I knew he had been crying. His voice was breaking and I hated to hear that. It was the absolute worst thing to see Niall cry. You knew he was truly hurting, and Niall was the last one on planet Earth that deserved to be hurting.
"I'm really sorry, mate. Hopefully she'll wake up soon," I told him. I reached over and felt of Cassidy's forehead which felt normal. Maybe that was a good sign? "Is there anything I can do for you?"
He looked up at me, "Could you maybe get me something to eat?"
I smiled, happy to know that even though incredibly sad, he hadn't lost his appetite. That was definitely a good sign. "Sure. You want it from anywhere specific?"
"Could you possibly go by Nando's?" He asked me and I nodded.
"Of course, you want your regular meal?"
"Yeah," He nodded, "I really appreciate it. I would do it myself, but I really want to stay here in case she wakes up."
"Yeah, no problem." I smiled, "I'll be back soon."

Niall's P.O.V~
After Liam left the room, I looked around the hospital room.
I hadn't exactly looked at it since I had been here. Besides the hospital bed, there was a small purple couch along the wall, another black couch, a flat screen television that Cassidy could watch if she were awake, and a white board that had all of Cassidy's health records on.
I looked back at Cassidy's beautiful face. Her eyes were still closed.
Why was she still blacked out?
They gave her the blood transfusion. I never thought it would take this long for her to wake up.
Why did Mia do this to her?
Why did she come into our lives and do this?
What the hell is wrong with her?
Why Cassidy?
Why not me?
Why did it have to be my girlfriend?
I finally found the girl of my dreams, the girl that I want to spend the rest of my life with, and as soon as things seem to be going great for us, everything came tumbling back down again.
Ana walked in the room, collapsing on the couch as if she were tired, but I knew that she had woken up froma nap on that couch only four or five hours ago. She looked over at me with sad eyes, "How are you doing, Ni?"
Before I could answer, I blurted out, "Can I ask you something?"
"Well, yeah," she laughed, "Go ahead."
I literally just had this same conversation with Harry. Why was I so nervous now having it with Ana?
"Do you... Do you think that.... Cassidy would maybe want to marry me?" I choked out, "You know, if I asked her."
Ana looked like she was about to explode, "Oh my god. Yes, Niall. Of course she would say yes!" She had began bouncing in her seat, her excitement being too much for her to handle.
"Really?" I asked, "I know she'll be nineteen tomorrow. I'll be twenty in a few days. I know it's kind of young, and I'm not saying I'm going to ask as soon as she wakes up, but you really think she would say yes when I asked her?"
Ana looked as if she had to come back down to Earth before she could answer my question. I don't think you could make her stop smiling if you offered her a million dollars. She walked over to my side, putting her hand on my shoulder.
"Niall, I've never been more sure of anything in my life."
