Susan's story

Chapter five

LUCY'S P.O.V.

Edmund and I are coming out of the water soaking wet. Peters not there anymore. I know for sure he is doing something very important, but when he just gets up and leaves without a word I get a little scared. I'm deciding whether or not I should try to find him. Yep hands down I need to find him. He may be doing something very important that I should know about or stop. So with out a word I sneak away from everyone. You may call this childish, but technically I'm still a child. Don't get me wrong I'm pretty mature for my age but something horrible is going on and I'm gonna find out what.

I'm behind a tree and I can see Peter talking to a dwarf that I don't recognize. I back up and "CRACK!' I step on a dumb little sick. Peters head jerks around and I start to run back into the woods. I don't think he saw who i was but i know hes chasing me. He's a ways behind me so I climb up a tree and wait for him to pass. Finally he passes me and I jump down. "Uh." I say as my feet hit the ground. I start running the opposite way Peter went hoping he would not notice me. All I heard back there was Susan's name, and now I'm scared.

When I reach Edmund he asks me where I was.

"Um.. I just went for a quaint little jog." I'm saying with a smile.

"In a dress that's down to your ankles? Lu whats going on?"

"Nothing I just like the woods that's all." Edmund walks away.

"Lucy." I hear Aslan whisper from behind me, but when I turn around he's not there, It must have been my mind.
I feel really bad now. I should not have spied on Peter.

Its getting dark and Peter is coming back.

"Well i just went on a great chase!" He says. I blush. "And I still don't know what rotten little thing did that!" He says frustrated. Finally he looks over at my embarrassed facial expression.

"Lu...did you?" His eyes looked confused, yet really really mad!

"Yes!!! Yes I did!!! And I'm so sorry!!! Its just....Its just..."

"There's no excuses Lucy, that was wrong!" He said sternly.

I'm very very confused. He hasn't acted like this to me in ages, and we are in Narnia there's not supposed to be anger in Paradise, is there?

Then I hear a whisper that sounds like Aslan, " In Paradise, there maybe anger, but not a strong enough anger to tare your life apart. Do not fear." again I heard him but nothing was there then I remember. The last time I was in Narnia I asked Aslan for help, he was not there but i heard a voice that said, "Courage dear heart." and the voice I was sure was Aslan's. Which really makes me wonder am I hearing him now?

I start to go to the castle to get ready for bed.

"Oh wait Lucy." Said Peter, "I should probably tell you what I was talking about." "We are taking away Susan's crown."

My eyes grew huge and my heart stop.

"WHAT!" I managed to choke out. "You can't! Once a king or queen of Narnia always a king or queen! It will break her heart!" I scream trying to get him to change his mind. I could hit him so hard right now.

"Its already been decided." He said and he walked away.

I can't let this happen, I won't let this happen......
