POV: Oliver
I sit at the table sharpening my arrows carefully, while keeping an eye on Macy. Who sits at the computer waiting for brother eye to come online again.
Felicity has been gone for about thirty minutes and texted me saying she was already on her way back here. I guess she had a short discussion with her mother.
"Who do you the brother eye is?" Macy asks me, great I'm about to be pounded will a long series of questions that I can't answer or don't want to answer.
"No idea," I respond looking up to see Macy looking over at me.
"I've been looking at their last messages, it seems almost as if they are to someone in particular. You know? As a warning."
"What makes you think that?" I ask putting aside my work and walking over to where the black haired girl sits.
"They use the words you haven't changed, your family. I don't know it just seems like it is to someone in particular. Like the family being warned has been before but they are still not doing anything, so brother eye is going public." She says.
"Maybe you are finding something, let's wait to the next message and see if we have any more proof," I say and Macy nods her head.
I start to walk away, back to my work. "Hey, do you know who the flash is?" She asks.
I turn around and walk back to the desk setting my hand down on the table, "I can neither confirm nor deny that."
"Well I've been looking into it and I think whoever it is, has a connection to crime. I also know for sure that he is most definitely working with the few employees still working at star labs. So you can tell me what you know or I can figure it out myself." She says
"Macy, we will talk about it later. Let's stink to the problem at hand."
"Ok, but one more question. Does Felicity know him?"
"Yep. He's Barry Allen, a friend of mine" A sweet voice says behind me and I turn to see Felicity.
"That makes so much sense, I had narrowed it down to five and he was one of them." Macy says.
I turn and give Felicity a questioning look. "You really think telling her was a good idea?"
"She was going to find out anyways. Now Macy scoot so I can work at the computer, please." Felicity says putting her bag down at the desk.
Macy rolls her chair over to another table where her bag lays and begins reading a book.
"Macy thinks that brother eye is publicly trying threatening a specific family or group." I tell Felicity as she sits down at the desk.
"What makes her think that?" Felicity look to me.
"Well, she pointed out how brother eye keeps saying you and how they talk it's almost to a specific group," I explain.
"It would make sense considering the last message they threatened to take away their victims company. I didn't even think of that, that's genius. I can cross reference families in starling who have companies and not the best family connections and track records for helping charities to help narrow down the victims. It won't help much but it will be progress while we wait for brother eye to come back on" Felicity continues "You haven't angered anyone more than usual lately right?"
"Excuse me?" I ask.
"Just wondering, you do have a company and your family isn't exactly tightly knit."
"I highly doubt it's my family, we are starting to secede from the lime light...finally," I respond.
"Don't get all defensive, Oliver Queen. I was just asking, trying to prevent anymore damage."
I laugh a little, "I don't think that's possible. By the way how did it go with your Mom?"
"Oh no, we are not talking about that now," Felicity says.
"Common, already tell me that things were cleared up a little?"
"Well...." Felicity begins to start, but all the light go off and brother eye is live.
"Oh saved bye the bell. Well, not the bell, but the creepy computer hacker who is controlling the city," The blonde babbles.
"Fel-lic-ity!" I yell.
"Right, ok I'm going." She yells back typing in the computer.
I stand behind the desk while Felicity works at the computer and Macy stands by her side with a tablet. I try to understand what they are talking about and doing but they are talking and typing so fast it's hard to keep track.
A few minutes after the light go back on Felicity starts yelling No and hitting the desk repeatedly. I give Macy a questioning look what's going on but Macy just shrugs.
Macy takes a step back giving me some space to talk to Felicity as she takes of her glasses and puts her head down on the desk.
"Hey, what's up?" I ask behind her but get no response. "Felicity, what's going on?" I try again, this time placing my hand on her hand which is wrapped across her face, resting on her shoulder.
"I can't beat it. I can't beat this virus and stop brother eye." She says not moving.
"Yes you can. You are Felicity Smoak. So what you didn't get it the first try you will get it the second time." I say pulling her head up from the table and kneeling down so our eyes meet.
"No, I mean the virus is unstoppable."
"I'm sure it's not. You will think of a way," I say holding her hands.
"NO! I won't Oliver" Felicity stands pulling her hands away from mine. "This virus is mine that I created 5 years ago. I made it so it wouldn't be able to be stopped." She says.
I don't respond, processing what she said. I look over to Macy who is looking at Felicity about to talk.
"It's ok, we don't have to destroy the virus then. You can figure out who has the virus, it must be someone you worked with. We can use that to trace them down and stop them that way they can't use the virus." Macy says being optimistic.
I still remain silent, locking my gaze with Felicity.
"Look before you yell at me and tell me how I could do such a stupid think please let me tell you that you can't say anything worse than I'm telling myself now. Also, when I made this virus I didn't think it could be used for something as big as this. I mean I could have, I have a very vivid imagination, but I didn't and-"
"Felicity!" I snap getting her attention. "Who else had the virus?" I ask.
"Umm...my boyfriend's roommate helped install the tech that my dad gave us, but other than that I don't think it was anyone." Felicity says.
"What about the boyfriend or your Father?" I ask.
"Oh no it wasn't them" Macy responds. Since Felicity just stares down at her shoes, staring at them as if they were a prize art piece on display.
"Felicity? What about you boyfriend and Father?" I repeat myself and this time she shakes her head.
"Felicity!" I yell "I'm trying to stop brother eye but, I need you help and all the details you need to tell me what happened five years ago and why you think your father and boyfriend are innocent."
Felicity look up from her shoes and I notice tears streaming down her face and immediately feel bad. "Because, my dad was always gone from when I was 5 and just showed up in college. I thought her wanted a fresh start when he gave me some new computers and software but it turned out he was just using me. My boyfriend, isn't the one because he's no longer in the picture."
"They are still out there they could still access it. What are there names? I'll have Macy look them up and go after them," I say.
"It's not them" Felicity says slowly with a poisonous tone.
"How do you know!" I yell.
"My dad got caught hacking into some police force data bases and was in jail then when he was released he was given a bracelet that prevents him from going on anything that has access to the Internet. My boyfriend-" she starts but stops to wipe some tears away, Macy walks over and gives her a tissue. Felicity give her a sweet smile and pulls her close to give her a one armed hug, resting her head on Macy's. "My boyfriend and I did stupid stuff in college, as I mentioned one I was a very different person. We got in trouble and cooper took the fall for it. He was in prison and not a death sentence," Felicity finishes that stand up taking s step from Macy.
"Felic-" I start to take a step towards her, but she shakes her head.
"I just, need some air for a moment," Felicity says, walking out of the foundry. I watch her as she disappears through the door.
"I really messed up." I say running my hand over my face.
"Yep. It's ok though, she strong she'll be ok. You just might have caused and her bump in the road for the two off you," Macy sorrily.
"I seem to do that a lot."
"Your human Oliver, people mess up."
"But some mistakes can't be forgiven."
"This isn't one of those mistakes and you know that."
Macy's phone begins to ring, she walks over to it. She sighs when she looks at the screen and answers it.
"Yea....I'm at work...well I am...OK relax, I'm sorry...it's not the end of the world...well maybe there was a reason...What I'm just saying...find I'll be right there," Macy says into the phone slamming it on the table then immediately packing her stuff up.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"My families business is broke," she says.
Brother eye was warning a specific family and it was Macy's, but why is Felicity virus involved in it? How are the two connected?
