the two boys sat next to eachother on the couch, listening to the harsh rain dancing and gliding on the roof as well as the loud clashes of thunder booming outside. "pretty in pink" was playing on the tv, but neither of them were paying attention to the movie.
connor's head was rested on troye's lap as troye played with his soft brown hair. they had been talking for about who knows what for a good 3 hours, right after troye had told his parents he was probably sleeping over due to the severe thunderstorm. (but we all know that isn't the only reason...)
the friends were talked out; everything going on in their pretty minds was no longer shoved in there like a basket of squished up fruit. now their thoughts and words are genuine wonderings were out and about, floating around, waiting to travel into another person's brain next.
after a calm silence, troye finally spoke up: "do you want me to sing to you?"
he could feel connor shift in his lap and soon he was met with a pair of green eyes staring right at him. a small smile was drawn onto his lips and he nodded, reaching up to brush a small curl out of troye's eyes. he smiled softly and cleared his throat as connor laid his head back onto troye's lap.

troye let out a soft sigh, opening his previously closed eyes. when he saw connor's reaction, he burst into laughter.
his eyes were about as wide and bright as the sun, his jaw about an inch away from the floor. (that might've been an exaggeration. might've.)
"that was..that was.."
"awf-"
"fucking beautiful, troye."
troye smiled a genuine, whole-hearted smile which made connor's heart tighten a teensy bit. his head tilted down a little bit, both boys happy as can be.
"i like you."
troye looked down at connor, giggling softly. "haven't we already bee-"
he was interrupted by a pair of soft lips on his own, the thing that would stop his world and forever change it at the same time. he responded quickly by kissing him back.
the kiss was soft and sweet; it reminded him of strawberry lemonade and moonlit walks in the park. it was everything he wanted and more, to say the least.
once they pulled apart, the two had wild grins on their faces, both of them giggling to themselves.
"i kinda like you too, con."
