@kennedy624 wanted something along the lines of the reader and crush not being able to date because of their ages. Hopefully this one-shot is good! Seriously, the titles for these one-shots though.. so sorry ;-;

"(Y/N), can you go catch some fish for me?"
"Sure thing Mom!" You smile, grabbing a basket.
"Thanks honey!" She shouts, continuing to chop the vegetables.
You hum a little song as you're heading to the river. You turn around, hearing your name being called.
"(C/N)! Hey!" You smile, waving.
"(Y/N)~! Where are you going?"
"River to catch some fish for my mom. Wanna join?" You offer.
"Count me in!" He grins, walking next to you. "Is she making that awesome meal again?"
"Yup. You and your family are invited."
"Awesome! Thanks!" He pats his stomach, grinning. "Boy am I hungry!"
You chuckle, "You always are."
You're (Y/N). He's (C/N). You like him. He likes you. But why in the world are you two not dating yet? Oh right, it's because of your ages. Your village, Alsaru, has certain rules. One of them being, "You're not allowed to date someone who is way older than you." (C/N) is 5 years older than you. You didn't really think a 5 year difference is a huge amount, but unfortunately your elder (leader of the village) think it is.
Your feet hits the cold water. You crouch down and begin to search for some fish. "Ah, got one!"
He crouches down beside you and begins to help you. "Wow, who knew catching fish could be so hard!"
You laugh, rolling your eyes. "Well, I've done this ever since I was little. That's why it's pretty easy for me. Thanks for trying though."
He stands up, "I can help you with something else.."
"Hm? With what?"
"Eating the fish."
"Haha, very funny." You sigh, chuckling afterwards. "Anyways, lets head back."

"(C/N), give the basket back to me. I'll be fine!"
"I'll carry it. No buts." He continues walking, completely ignoring your protests.
You sigh, "Fine. Thanks.."
He grins, holding the basket on his shoulder. With his free hand, he intertwines his hand with yours.
You blush, looking down. "Uh..."
"The rules never said anything about not being able to hold hands.. right?"
"Right.." You mumble, smiling.
