Catalina POV
"Catalina...."
My eyes sprung open when I heard a very familiar voice. I moved my head to see who it was. Oh my god.
"Ate?" I asked.
"So the daredevil can still speak!" What?
"How? Can you still be alive?!" I asked.
"Oh c'mon Catalina! That's not the way to greet your long lost Ate!" She said emphasizing the word ATE.
"Mom, Dad, Bryce, Kuya, Sebastian... Andreas ..." When she said Andreas's name I knew something was off. Where is he to begin with? "Alam mo, I'm sick and tired of everyone praising you or better yet worshiping you. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE THAT I DON'T??!" She barked at me.
"Ate what's wrong?" I asked confused!
"Don't Ate what's wrong what's wrong me brat! You made my life a living hell. I HATE YOU!!" She said after taking one step closer.
"Stop! Stop right there. Don't come any closer!!" Panicking I did not know what to do to stop her.
"Oh Cute! So naive as always." She smirks.
"Where's Andreas??!" So stupid of me to asked. If he was here I doubt he'll let Ate near me. "ANDREAS!!! HEEEEELP! HELP!!" I screamed. Lumapit siya sakin with a syringe.
"Kahit mag sisigaw kapa jan walang Andreas na sasaklolo sayo!" She injected the syringe on one of the Ivy line. "So stupid of him to leave you here with his and Sebastian's moron body guards. Mga uto-uto." She laugh. Evil laugh! Para siyang sinapian ng masamang spirit!!
"What have you done, Ate? " I started drifting.. Into darkness...
"I can finally end your life for good now.." I thought I heard her say before darkness consumed me!
"Catalina, which color do you like?" Mama asked.
"Pink one, Ma!" I excitedly answer. She bought me a pink princess dress. "What about Ate? Ate what col-" Mama stopped me.
"Your Ate is old na baby. Hindi na bagay sa kanya mag wear nang princess dress. You know you're my only Princess right?" She smiled and gave me a tight hugged. I saw ate, naka simangot lang.
I have the urged to pee. My body is aching badly when I opened my eyes panicked awakened me. I'm in unfamiliar room or should I say warehouse. There's a lot of barrels all over. It smells like gas of some sort. I look around if someone's with me but it seems like I'm by myself. At the end of the warehouse I heard people arguing. I tried to move but my body is not cooperating well. I'm weak. Shit! I slowly walk towards the people arguing.
"I told you not to touch her! WHY DID YOU KIDNAPPED HER? She's in a very bad state Rosa Mae!!! You're so stupid!" Ate slapped him. Wait. It's.. It's Brenton! Wait. WHAT? Mag ka sabwat sila? No! No! No! This is not happening.
"Why is everyone so concern about her? Even you? Diba this was all your idea? You wanted her gone more than I do. What's with the sudden changed of heart? Are you for real in love with her? Huh?! FUCKING ANSWER ME!" She whipped.
"I didn't say I wanted her gone! I just needed her money. And Yes! I love her! I'm so god damn in love with her I can't stop thinking about her!!!" Ate started crying.
"How? How can you do this to me?! After all I did for you, siya?" Turo niya sa direksyon kung nasaan ako kanina. "SIYA PA TALAGA ANG PIPILIIN MO???!" I don't understand her. What does she want?
"BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP!!" I heard a very husky voice.
"What are you doing here??!" Tanong ni Ate at Brenton at the same time.
"Rosa Mae, are you out of your fucking mind? Everyone is looking for Catalina!!!" He yelled at her. She looked at him like a lost puppy. I wonder who he is. Nakita kong may tumakbo papunta sa kanila.
"She's gone!!!! She's gone!" The guy said. Everyone scattered and started looking for me. I tried to be as quiet as possible. Looking around I can see a huge garage door but there's three big guys with guns in front of it. It's no joy. I slowly walk the opposite side to where I was and to my surprised Ate was there. Staring right through me.
"San punta mo, Princess??!" She yanked my hair and push me forward. She pointed a gun at me "Kahit kailan talaga letsi ka sa buhay ko! Wala ka nang ibang ginawa kundi agawin sa akin lahat! Piste ka talaga. Bakit ba kasi hindi kapa mamatay! Naalala mo yung time na kinidnap ka ni William? It was me who shot you? Nabuhay kapa? Tindi mo ha! At ang inutil na William kinanta pa kami sa asawa mo! I tried to ruined you but you kept on coming back! What the hell, Catalina! Bakit ba hindi ka nalang mamatay!!" She's waving her gun back and forth. This really broke my heart. I loved her. Pero kompetinsya lang ang pag tingin niya sa akin.
"What? I've done nothing but ruined your life??!" I cried. Slowly maintaining my breathing. She's still pointing the gun at me. "What about that day when you decided to drive moms car in New York when she god damn told you not to and you hit someone or should I say killed someone. Diba you made me confessed that it was me because you didn't want to go to jail! DIBA? I was only fifteen and I spent five fucking months in a juvenile jail for something I didn't do! You have no idea what i've been through there. Ni hindi ka nga bumisita sa akin diba? Bakit dahil GUILTY KA??! Hindi kita nilaglag Why? Because I thought you were a good person! JOKES ON ME HUH??!" Sumisikip na ang dibdib ko. "What about.. What about when you decided to burn our factory. Diba ako din ang nag bayad sa mga kasalanan mo?? DIBA??? May narinig kaba sa akin? Wala diba? Because I god damn love you. Dahil ATE KITA! You're supposed to protect me hindi pinapahamak. Anong klaseng tao ka? Ako pa pinapalabas mong masama?? Are you in denial Ate?? ARE YOU??" Hinawakan ko ang dibdib ko dahil it's getting harder for me to breath. Her hand is shaking. "Inagaw ko lahat sayo? Like what? You claimed si Sebastian ang mahal mo diba? Pinakasalan ka na niya, ang masaklap pa he actually learned to love you but what did you do in returned? Nag pa patay patayan ka and for what? To get even with me?!" I look at her. She's crying as if everything is getting into her. "You're a coward Ate. You don't deserve his love nor mine. Alam mo bang halos mamatay si Mama when she found out nawawala ka? You said I took everything from you but reality is you were blinded by your jealousy and selfishness!! Napaka greedy mong tao! You want me to die? Then I'll die but at least I know I didn't make anybody's life miserable like you did!" Tears flooded my cheeks. We both look at the huge garage door when we heard gunshots.
"What did she say Rosa Mae? It was you who hit and killed my son??!" I looked up to the man talking. He has his gun out. "All along its been you? I've been punishing the wrong person the whole entire time. Made her pay for something she didn't do?!" The man's voice got louder. He's pointing the gun towards Ate.
"I.. I can explain!" She said.
"Explain what?? THAT YOU KILLED MY SON?" I swear I saw tears coming down his cheek. When he finally faced me.. It was Mr. Park. The confusion is killing me. This is not real. So that kid Ate accidentally killed was his son? No fucking way.
"It.. I-t.. It was an accident!" Ate finally said.
"When my lawyers found out that Catalina is indeed a Garcia, I took the opportunity to strike back at your family. Specially when they somehow dismissed the case due to lack of evidence. I couldn't believe it. I've been planing how to kill your sister all these times and you knew all about it too. You played me for a fool Rosa Mae? Do you think I won't kill you?" Now I'm in between them. Ate raised her gun towards Mr. Park! In a flash I saw Andreas and Sebastian pointing their guns at Mr. Park and Ate Rosa Mae. But when I look at Mr. Park's eyes, it looked like he didn't have any soul. As if he had nothing to live for. Only to avenge his son's death.
"Put the gun down Mr. Park!!" Singhaw ni Andreas.
"No! This is my only chance to kill my son's true killer!" Everything went on a slow motion. I saw him aim at Ate and when he pulled the trigger I jumped to protect Ate. There were two gun shots.
"CATALINA!" I heard Andreas, Sebastian and Ate Rosa Mae yelled. "CATALINA?????" I'm shot. I heard more gunshots nearby but everything is moving so fast. I heard Andreas.
"Baby.. Catalina.. CATALINA! No. No. No!!" He's begging. "Please baby, hey! Baby! Stay with me. Catalina!!" I.. I can't feel anything. My body became numb. Then I heard her.
"You dumb stupid girl! Why did you jump in front of me. After everything I've put you through you still manages to save me? Again?! I'm sorry my baby sister. I'm... S-sorry!" I heard more commotions.
"Rosa Mae!! She's shot! She's also shot" Sigaw ni Sebastian. I felt Ate squeezed my hand but my body was too numb to respond. I saw flashbacks of happy time with Mama and Papa.
"Catalina, make a wish! Make a wish!" They said while waiting for me to make a wish. I made my wish and blew the candles.
"What did you wish for honey?" Mama asked.
"Ma, I'm not supposed to tell you. Otherwise it won't happen!" She giggles and whispered to me.
"It will be our little secret." She said.
"I wished that Ate and I won't fight anymore. Because I love her." Mama smiled. "You're such a good sister, Catalina. That is why Papa and I love you so much. Because you're a good person!" they both hugged me.
"I love you Mama and Papa..." They disappeared.
"Of all the women in the world why did you chose me?!" I asked Andreas. He's in his suit getting ready for his business meeting.
"Babe, because without you I won't be able to live! You're my air." It feels so real.
"Baby, open your eyes! Catalina! Breath baby. No! No!" He started sobbing. "I love you!" I opened my eyes.
"A-A-andreas.." I slowed my breathing. "I-I'm so s- sorry!" Tears fogged my eyes. "I.. I-i-" I couldn't breath. "L-love you!" I manages to say. "T-take C-care of.. Of.. The K-kids" I started crying. My eyes are filled with tears. Death is coming for me. I can slowly feel it. I saw a light. It's guiding me to somewhere but I refused. I felt a very sharped pain. I looked at Andreas one more time. I tried to memorized his face one last time. The man who fought for my love since the very beginning.
"Catalina, fight baby! Your battle is not yet over!" I heard him say. "I love you! No! No! No! CATALINAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" I closed my eyes and let darkness or death take over me!
