"Is this it?" You waved a tool at Poe, who looked equally as confused.
"Maybe? Here, let's try it," He said, taking it from you and fiddling around with the console of the X-Wing once more.
You were perched on top of one of the engines on Poe's X-Wing, peering over at Poe who was busy working on something in the cockpit.
"Are you sure you don't want me to go and ask someone, Poe? Best pilot in the galaxy or not, you look like you need some help," You laughed.
"Well maybe if you actually came down here and helped me instead of sitting up there and giving orders..." He turned to look at you, laughing too.
You sighed, getting up. Poe moved across to help you into the cockpit, holding his arms out to you.
As you went to jump in, you slipped, almost toppling the both of you over in the process as you lost your balance. You leaned against Poe heavily, wrapping your arms around him to steady yourself.
"Well hello there," He laughed, kissing the top of your head as you crashed into him.
You felt his chest vibrate as he laughed and smiled sheepishly.
"Okay step over the seat...careful this time," He added. He held out both of his hands and you took them thankfully, stepping slowly over the seat.
Poe moved to the side as you examined the console, picking up the tool you had just given him. You looked at it for a few moments and then turned to Poe, "You know I don't know what I'm doing, right?"
"Of course I do, gorgeous," He winked at you, moving closer to you until your faces were inches apart.
"I just wanted you close enough for me to do this," He said as he pressed his lips to yours.
You smiled through the kiss, wrapping your arms over his shoulders.
