Reader-Chan POV
"(y/n)-chaaaaan!!!" shouted Mey-Rin from the kitchen. I looked up and saw Mey-Rin walking towards me. I smiled.
"You know I was right here Mey-Rin, you didn't have to scream."
"Oh...well there's a letter for the young master! Could you take it to him please? I would but I have to prepare for the ball, yes I do!" replied Mey-Rin and held out an envelope for me. I nodded and took it from her, walking towards Ciel's study.
I stopped and looked down and saw a red seal on the back of the envelope. I shrugged and continued walking. Once I was outside the study I knocked...no answer. I twisted the doorknob and walked in.
"Young master, there's a lett-" I stopped when I looked up from the envelope. Ciel had a hand on Sebastian's waist, and the other was placed in one of Sebastian's and they were standing in front of each pretty close. They both looked at me and Ciel had a blush on his face. My lips were pursed before I snickered.
"Well isn't the young master attached to his servants?" I teased. Ciel looked at Sebastian and pushed him away. He glared at me and pointed a finger.
"Shut up, you moron! Besides...this bloody idiot was giving me dancing lessons for the ball!"
"Uh huh...well, anyways, there's a letter for you so here you go," I walked up to him and handed it to him.
"If I may, my lord, since I'm too tall to teach you how to dance, maybe (y/n) could teach you instead," said Sebastian and smirked at me. What the hell?
"Excuse me? I don't dance buddy, so no. I won't 'teach the young master to dance,''" I said, dropping my voice low for the last part.
"It's not necessary," mumbled Ciel and sat down in the chair behind his desk. I looked over at Sebastian and punched his shoulder.
"See? The master doesn't need to learn how to dance," I smirked and placed my hand son my hips. Sebastian glanced at me and rubbed his shoulder.
"Was it necessary to punch me?" he raised an eyebrow. I shrugged and looked at Ciel who was staring at us.
"What?"
He just shook his head and mumbled something under his breath.
"(y/n) if you need a dress, since the servants are also going to attend the so-called ball, then I can get you one," said Ciel as he read the letter.
"Uh no thanks. I don't attend balls," I said.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go tend my horse," I said and left. Me? At a ball? Ha ha...no.

"Ain't he/she a beauty!" smiled Finny as he helped me groom (h/n).
"Yes he/she is and she/he's quite fast as well Finny," I said.
"The horses back home have to be trained with great stamina and calm temperament," I continued.
"Oh! So that they can outrun the titans right (y/n)?" said Finny while looking over (h/n) neck. I smiled and nodded.
"Yes. And honestly, I think that our horses are braver and smarter than us soldiers," I said and Finny laughed. I smiled and petted (h/n)'s mane.
"(y/n)? I have a question..."
"Go ahead."
"How tall are they? The titans I mean."
"Well, they can range in sizes. They can be from 3 meters high, up to fifteen. And then there's....the colossal titan, which is about sixty meters tall..." I sighed.
"Wow! That's really tall...and (y/n)? I admire you for being brave. I don't think I would live through a battle against those beasts," admitted Finny. I stopped grooming (h/n)'s mane...beasts...That's right...titans are beasts...every single one of them...even myself....
"(y/n)? Are you okay? You're frowning," said Finny studying my face. I cleared my throat and nodded with a small smile on my face.
"I think you'd survive Finny."
"Really? You think so!?" exclaimed Finny with wide eyes. I laughed and nodded.
"Am I interrupting something?" came a familiar soft yet cold voice behind us. I turned around and saw Sebastian standing there with a cold expression on his face.
"Mister Sebastian! We were-us-we-you see-" Finny stammered.
"He was helping me tend (h/n). Do you have a problem with it?" I said, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Yes as a matter of fact I do. Finny needs to help Mey-Rin with the ball, which I believe starts in an hour." I scoffed and turned to (h/n). Why is he acting like an asshole all of a sudden? He seemed calm earlier...
"Yes Mister Sebastian! (y/n) I'll see you later!" with that, Finny ran towards the manor. I put the brushes in the bucket where they belonged and placed them behind (h/n). I then heard Sebastian clear his throat. I grunted and looked at him.
"What now?" I sighed.
"I don't think you should distract Finny and the servants anymore. With those distractions, they will hardly get any work done (y/n)," said Sebastian. I slammed the bucket with the food down on the floor and stalked towards Sebastian.
"Yeah? Well at least I'm not a piece of shit who's screaming at them all day long, acting like I'm superior than they are," I said and pushed him back. Sebastian almost fell back, and looked at me with wide eyes. I huffed and walked towards the manor. The nerve he has! Telling me I'm a "distraction"! Well he can go screw himself.
Once I reached the garden I felt something pull my wrist from behind and whirl me around.
"Wait. I apologize (y/n) I don't know what came over me," said Sebastian with a soft look on his face.
"Look Sebastian, I really don't want to deal with your crap right now alright? So..." I pulled my wrist from his grasp and entered the mansion through the kitchen door. Once inside I ran towards my room and slid down the door once it was closed. I felt a blush color my cheeks and thought about Sebastian's look in his eyes...caring and soft. I groaned and looked down at my hands. I noticed I still had the ring Commander Erwin gave me. I slid it off and opened the small, sharp blade. I gulped and gently ran my finger over it. I remember when Erwin found me and took me in.
Flashback (reader-chan is 12)
I opened my eyes and looked around. There was steam, everywhere. I got up and felt something sticked to the side of my face and body. I couldn't move. When I tried to free my arm I froze when someone shouted at me.
"Freeze!" I then heard multiple footsteps walking towards my direction. A few people came into view, all were armed with guns or swords, pointed at me. All part of the scouts regiment or the military police. However there was a man with no weapon, with blonde hair and blue eyes, I recognized him as Commander Erwin Smith of the Scouts.
"Are you human or titan?!" shouted one of the MPs. Titan?
"Answer the question freak!" shouted one of the MPs surrounding me.
"What...happened?" I croaked.
"Don't play stupid! You-" the MP who spoke first was interrupted by Commander Erwin.
"That's enough Commander." Commander Erwin then looked down at me and smiled softly.
"Please sir...what happened? Why can't I move?" I whispered as the commander got closer.
"Sir! Step away! She's dangerous!" shouted the MP commander I believe.
"Nonsense! She's a little girl who needs help."
"Alright, I'm going to help you get free. Don't move alright?" he said softly. Get free?
I froze when he pulled out a sword at his side.
"Close your eyes," he ordered softly. I nodded and followed his order. I heard slashing sounds next to me. Afterwards, I felt the sticky stuff on my body fall off. I opened my eyes and saw the commander stretch his hand towards me. I hesitantly took it and stood up with his help. I looked around and gasped. I stood around what seemed to the inside of a titan body. However the hair was (h/c) just like mine and the skin was covered in muscle, unlike other titan bodies. Was I swallowed?
"Do you not remember anything?" asked Erwin kneeling in front of me. I shook my head and he nodded.
"Well, according to some witnesses, after a man threw a glass bottle at you, and got cut, you transformed into a titan."
"What?!" I shrieked backing away. It can't be! I can't be a monster!! I felt streaming down my cheeks as the soldiers around me glared at me behind their armed weapons.
"Wait (y/n)! Don't be frightened," soothed the commander as he saw me backing away from them.
"I'm a titan?" I whimpered.
"Yes...but you're human too, I believe. And (y/n)? You aren't a monster, no matter what these other soldiers tell you. You're special...and I have a proposition."
"What is it?" I said, wiping my tears away. He smiled at me and took my small hands into his large ones.
"Of you join the Scouts and help us, we'll keep you safe. No harm will come to you. In fact I'll take care of you. Teach you everything you need to know as a soldier, while you help us."
"How could I help you?"
"Well, with your ability, we can have a chance at beating the titans. You are very special, and we would love to have you on our team," smiled Erwin.
"Commander that is absurd! The girl could accidently transform and kill innocent people," exclaimed an MP.
"Don't worry about that soldier. Besides I will take care of her and make sure she doesn't harm anyone," said the commander, placing his hand on top of my shoulders.
"Besides...my soldiers will gladly take in (y/n)" he said with a squeeze.
"YEEEESSS!!!" screamed a woman with red hair and goggles as she ran toward me.
"Well aren't you the cutest!! My name is Hange Zoe! And can I say that you look great as a titan as well!! You and I will be great friends (y/n)!!" smiled Hange. I smiled at her and nodded.
End of flashback
I smiled at the memory.
"Oh I'm sorry Commander Erwin for disrespecting you and leaving...after you took me in after all those years" I said as I slipped my ring back in place. Just then, someone knocked on my door. I cleared my throat and stood up.
I opened the door and saw Bard dressed as a woman. He wore a red wig with a white and pink sailor woman costume, and of course there was a lit cigarette hanging from his mouth.
"Oy (y/n) you might want to head downstairs. There's some interesting stuff happening down there," he said, indicating towards the stairs with his thumb.
"I'll be right there." He nodded and looked down at my ring.
"What is that sticking out of the ring you're wearing?"
I looked down and saw the little blade still out. I hid my hand behind my back and nervously laughed.
"Nothing! I mean it's something I can use in case I need to defend myself!" I said.
"Oh that makes sense..." he nodded.
"Yeah...anyways...let's go," I said, stepping out of the room and walking alongside bard.
Once we reached the bottom of the stairs I stood next to the other servants who were all dressed up, except Mey-Rin.
"You managed to save yourself Mey-Rin?" I asked. She looked at me and nodded. Just then, Sebastian, with half of his bangs tucked behind one ear, began to play the violin at the top of the stairs while Ciel, in a "cute" outfit, then asked Elizabeth to dance.
"Show-off" I mumbled.
"Is there anything he can't do?" whispered Finny. Grell, who was dressed in a white dress began to sing. Oh sweet mother of...
I sighed and went to the kitchen. I grabbed a roll of bread and walked outside. The cold night air hit my face and I closed my eyes, breathing it in.
I looked behind me and closed the door. I placed the bread in my mouth and stepped away from the building. I turned around and pulled the trigger on my ODM gear. The grapple hooks shot out from beside me and I flew off the ground. I laughed as I flew upwards and let go of the triggers. I began to fall, but landed on the mansion's roof. I then found a spot where I could sit and began to eat my bread, staring at the moon.
Once I was done I removed my gear and placed it beside me. I then leaned back, my hands placed behind my head. I hummed a song I once heard from the soldiers and let my thoughts drift away.
How could people here like stuff like balls and big dresses and fancy food?
"But it sure is nice not living behind walls," I muttered.
"Is that so?"
I jumped up and whirled around my fist raised up. I sighed and lowered my arms when I saw it was Sebastian, his hair back in its place.
"Oh it's just you," I sighed. I plopped back on my seat on the roof, my back facing Sebastian and my arms wrapped around my knees. I then felt Sebastian sit next to me.
"How exactly did you get here?" he asked. I patted my ODM gear and he nodded in understanding.
"How about you, butler?" I asked.
"The door," he said, pointing to his left. How did I not hear him open and close the door?
"Do you really want to return to where you came from?" he asked all of a sudden.
"Of course I do."
"Do you have family there?"
"Not by blood...but friends who come close," I said, thinking of my squad.
"How interesting," he said. I looked at him.
"What?"
"I'm sure any other person would stay here and never want to return, yet you are different..." he remarked.
"I made a promise," I mumbled.
"To who?"
"To myself. To my squad. To my captain. To my commander. To humanity," I responded.
"I promised, no I swore I would give my all to defeat every titan out there, even if it cost my life. I owe it to my fellow soldiers, especially my commander. He saved my life. He gave me another chance at life and he deserves to be repaid," I said looking at Sebastian.
"How did he save your life (y/n)?" he asked softly. I looked away and shook my head.
"I...can't tell you. It's strictly classified information," I said, my soldier attitude, as I call it, took over.
I heard him softly chuckle. I looked at him with a glare.
"Are you laughing at me?"
"No. Not at all. I just...find you very interesting. I've never met anyone so loyal and courageous," he smiled at me. I relaxed and smiled.
"Thank you Sebastian."
"I'm sure we'll find a way to get you back home," he said. I looked over to respond and jumped when I saw his eyes. They were glowing pink!
"What the hell is wrong with your eyes?!" I said, scooting away and reaching towards my gear. His eyes then returned to the familiar crimson red color.
"What do you mean (y/n)?" he asked with a furrowed brow.
"What the hell..." I mumbled.
"I'm sure you're just imagining things...we should return inside the manor, it's getting late." With that, he walked towards the door he came from.
"I wasn't imagining...You're hiding something, Sebastian...And I am going to find out," I muttered and followed him.
