You're still gonna live with that shit you did for life.
You're gonna hate yourself as much as I do you.
I was already home, watching the sun rise next to Chris's sleeping body. The tea cup stayed still in my hands like the rest of my body did, but my tears flowed freely, streaming down my face as I replayed his words again and again along with the flashback that never seemed to end my life.
{Then}
"You're not fucking going, not fucking around like this." My head was still tilted back as I downed the bottle down until it was empty. "I don't really give a fuck." I slurred, wiping my mouth. "I said, you're not leaving this fucking building and I mean it." He spat and I couldn't help but laugh. "Who the fuck are you to tell me what I can and can't do?" I said, raising my voice. He glared back at me. "As long as you're the mother of my fucking daughter, you're staying your ass here."
It was my turn to glare as I stood up, wobbly at first, and got in his face. "Fuck you. You're not telling me what to do." "I dare you to take a step past that goddamn door, I swear to god..." He clenched and unclenched his fists, staring down at me coldly. "Or else what?!" I screamed. "It's not like you give a fuck about me or what the fuck I do!" I started pounding on his chest with my fist. He caught them both with his hands, barely flinching as I struggled against him. "Look, I'm not fucking playing around with you. You're drunk as fuck. Stop being so fucking hardheaded, I told you to stay your ass..." He growled at me, but stopped mid sentence and looked past me.
I turned my head to see what he was staring at, flaring my nostrils some, and stopped as she came into view in the doorway. He loosened his grip on me, expression softening. "Go back to sleep." He mumbled, but she stayed put, fear visible in her eyes. I shook my head. "Go." I slurred and she still wouldn't let up. I turned my attention back to him, glaring up at him. "I'm going. She's going too. Fuck you." I hissed as I snatched my hands back, grabbing both my jacket and hers. He clenched his jaw, watching my every move.
"You take her with you, I'll never forgive your sorry ass."
I stopped midway as I put the small coat on her, picking her up. "You're just gonna have to hate me then." I said slowly, voice cracking some, as I opened the door and stumbled into the hallway.
Little did I know.
