"Scott, Stiles is already waiting outside, hurry up!", I shouted up the stairs waiting for my boyfriend to get his things right. Usually, I used to be the one who's always been late, but this time it was the other way around,"two more minutes, please", he yelled back and jumped down the stairs rushing to the bathroom. I stumped after him until I was standing in front of the bathroom door knocking uncontrollably loud.
"Scott, I dare you! Come out or I'll go by myself", you crossed your arms before your chest though he couldn't see you,"It's new year's eve and you promised me we will celebrate it with our friends and if they are waiting too long, our perfectly planned eve will be destroyed", I whined like a 4 year old child and hammered against the door.
"Ok, ok..I'm finished, let's go", he opened the door and grabbed my hand leading me outside the house.
In last second I made it to grab my purse and my mobile phone.

Arriving at Lydia's, Scott Stiles and me left the jeep to casually enter our best friend's house.
I carried a huge bowl of brownies beneath my arm in order to surprise Lydia with her favourite dessert.
"ahhh, it's almost midnight", you cheered, the excitement visible in your eyes.
"come onnn, it's just another year coming around, nothing special", Scott poked your side, slightly kissing your forehead.
"pfft, it's going to be another year of spending time with my favourite people", you explained,"it's not about celebrating another year passing by, it's about remembering and appreciating your friends company, and about celebrating another year which we survived!".
Both of them were calmly smiling at you, when you entered the house. Lydia was dressed in a light pink dress, wearing golden high heels,"damn you're looking hot", Stiles greeted her, giving her a passionate kiss on the lips.
She was slightly smiling, leading us over to the dining room in which she prepared an extravagant dinner which we all had expected.
The dining table was decorated in a very elegant and modern way which clearly impressed me. That's why I was always looking up to her. The way she handled everything she's been through, the way she handled everything cruel going on in Beacon Hills. Besides that she could always find a way to make her friends feel comfortable and welcomed around her.
"wow lydia, that beats everything!", I cheered in awe,"that's just magical", I could not find any other words for describing how lucky I felt to spend new year's eve together with my family.
"y/n, that's nothing! you know that I'll try to put a smile on your face in any way I am able to", she gave me a hug, handing me a glass of wine.
The rest of the night was passing by in a rush, Stiles was laying on the couch, hugging Lydia's side. I was laying besides Scott, our hands intertwined and my gaze meeting his eyes.
"I thought about your words, babe", he stroke a strand of hair out of my face,"I know this is not about celebrating another boring year in the same life. It's about spending time and being surrounded by the people you love. We might not be surrounded by everyone we love, we lost many friends, people we loved and appreciated. But as you said, new year's is also an opportunity to think about your beloved ones, keeping them in mind, celebrating another year by taking new chances", he was hesitating,"... what I'm trying to say,
y/n.. I know it's not been easy for each one of us, but we still have each other"
I couldn't hold back the few tears which were rolling down my cheeks. I didn't know he was paying attention to any banal word leaving my mouth.
I couldn't help but smile at him.
While my hand was placed on his chest, my head was leaning onto his shoulder,"Happy New Year's, Scott".
