The next morning I woke up early in Cal’s arms. It was so lovely to be back in his arms. I felt so safe and content with him. I felt Cal stir next to me and then he was planting kisses on my neck.
“Good morning babe. I’ve missed waking up to you” he whispered into my neck
I smiled “I’ve missed this too but I’m afraid that I need you to drop me off at mine so I can get ready for work” I laughed
Cal laughed with me “yeah no worries. We best start looking at houses soon so that we can wake up together everyday” he smiled down at me as he placed a kiss on my lips.
Eventually we managed to drag ourselves away from each other so that he could drop me off at my place so that I could get ready for work. Luckily in the end I was only ten minutes late!
At lunchtime I finally caught up with Sarah in the staff room. Sarah passed me my tea as she sat down next to me “so how was last night?” she innocently asked
“Oh my god so much happened! Firstly me and Jamie went for a drink, which was fine but then Cal showed up! So obviously he wasn’t happy. Accused me of not caring blah blah blah so then he left. I spoke to Jamie and told him about everything that has happened in our relationship, and you know what it was really nice to speak to someone who wasn’t involved in the situation you know?”
Sarah nodded “ok I’m with you so far keep going” she smiled
“Right so Jamie encouraged me to go and see Cal which I did. I went straight to his and we spoke about everything. We spoke about what happened with the baby too. We’ve sorted things out and were going to stay together” I beamed
"You had make up sex didn’t you?” Sarah smirked at me
I whacked her arm playfully “seriously, I’ve just told you all of that and that’s what you say?” I laughed
“You know me” she winked “so what now?” she asked
“He wants us to buy a house together” I smiled
“Oh Amy that’s great! There’s a house for sale near ours” she hinted
I stuck my tongue out at her “we haven’t spoken about where we want to move to yet. And I think he kinda needs to meet my parents” I told her
“Oh yeah. How do you think they will take him? Especially after everything with the baby”
“Jeez thanks for the reminder” I laughed “ill ring my mum tonight. I think she will be ok about it. I think it will mainly be Shane and dad really”
“Hey Amy, sorry to interrupt” Jamie took a seat the other side of me
“Hey it’s ok Jamie. What’s up?” I asked
“I wanted to see how things went last night. I really am sorry if I’ve ruined things in any way” he told me genuinely
“Don’t be silly it wasn’t your fault, trust me. Were fine thanks though. Cal wants us to buy a house together” I smiled
"That’s great news Amy! Well I better get back to things. I just wanted to check up on you”
"Thanks Jamie, that’s kind of you”
“Well I’ll see you ladies later” he grinned as he walked away from us to speak to one of the other teachers.
I turned back to Sarah “so when do you think I should call my mum?” I asked starting to worry about things
“Well first I suggest you ring Cal just to see what he thinks and then ring your mum” she smiled
“Good plan!” I laughed
The rest of the day dragged along with thoughts of Cal meeting my parents swirling around in my brain! Shane and my dad hadn’t been too happy when I had turned up after losing the baby. They hadn’t been too impressed when I had told them I was pregnant and going to be a single mum either! But this needed to be done.
Once I got home, I had my tea and then settled on the sofa to ring Cal. He answered straight away.
“Hey gorgeous how was your day?” Cal’s soft velvety voice asked me
“It was tiring!” I laughed “how was yours?”
“Yeah it was ok. I missed you though. You sure you can’t stay here till we find somewhere?” he begged
“Cal I can’t! I can’t walk to work from yours can I?” I asked him
“This just sucks being away from you though that’s all”
“I know babe. Look I was thinking today, do you want to meet my parents?” I nervously asked him
“I was wondering when you would ask this” he laughed “yeah sure. Arrange it for this weekend if you want. I’m free”
This weekend?! “Are you sure?” I asked
"Yes definitely. If we’re going to live together then I need to meet your parents don’t I? Besides I have to apologize for everything that happened too” he whispered
“Cal you don’t have to do that” I told him
“I do babe. Oh Jake has just got here to watch the game. Call your mum and then text me the plan after ok?”
“Ok cal. Say hello to Jake for me” I told him
“Will do. Oh Amy? I love you”
I smiled “I love you too Cal”
The phone call ended and then I prepared myself for the next conversation with my mum. She answered after a few rings.
“Sorry love I couldn’t hear the phone over this awful football noise from the television!” she shouted obviously to my dad
I laughed “no worries mum”
“How are you Amy?”
“I’m good mum really good” I smiled
“Oh? How come?” she asked me. Well here goes
“Me and Cal are back together mum” I told her nervously. I was met with silence for a few moments “mum?”
“Well if it’s what makes you happy Amy, then I guess I’m happy for you”
“Mum please don’t be like that. He wants to come down and meet you, so were thinking this weekend but if things are going to be weird then we will hold off for a while”
“Oh no its fine love. You can come down this weekend and I promise I will be on my best behavior! I can’t say the same for Shane and your dad but I will speak to them. Shane should be ok though as he’s all loved up now”
“He is?” I asked “he never told me”
“Oh I’m sure he meant too Amy. Kate is a lovely girl. They’ve only been going out about a month though so that’s probably why he hasn’t mentioned it”
“I’ll give him a ring then”
“Good idea darling. So we will see you this weekend?”
“Yeah I think we will probably leave Friday evening after work”
“Ok love. Well text me when you leave ok? Love you”
“Love you too mum”
So Shane had a girlfriend and he hadn’t told me? I thought we told each other everything?
I quickly text Cal the plan for the weekend. He didn’t reply but then he was watching football! I quickly rang Shane.
“You do realize I’m only answering because your my sister right? You do know that football is on right now?”
“Hello to you too Shane” I mumbled
“What have I done?” he asked sighing
“How did you know you’ve done something? Are you keeping something from me?” I asked
“You’ve spoken to mum haven’t you?” he whispered
“Might have” was my reply
“Yes I have a girlfriend. Yes she’s called Kate and I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you. I was going to surprise you next time that I saw you but obviously mum had other plans!”
“Hmmmmm ok I forgive you then. But me and Cal are coming down on Friday so I can meet her then” I smiled
"Why is Cal coming?” he asked
“Shane don’t start. But were back together”
“Seriously? He better of bloody changed Amy because I still owe him a punch in the face you know”
“Yes I know Shane” I mumbled
“Just doing my older brother duty” he told me
“Look just be nice yeah? Otherwise I’ll tell Kate some stories ok?”
“So you’re resorting to blackmail?” he asked laughing
“Maybe” I laughed “right I’ll see you Friday ok? Love you”
“Yeah love you”
I looked down at my phone to see a text from Cal “sounds great babe. We can leave about 5 then yeah? Footie is nearly over so then it will be bedtime. Ill text you properly then :) I love you xxxx”
So this weekend Cal was going to be meeting my parents and he was going to have to see Shane again! I was nervous about it already I just hoped it would go well.

Sorry this chapter hasn't got much action! It was basically a filler chapter to set up the next chapter :)
