I brushed my hair up in a bun, I made it home from the UK last night, Jason stayed a day longer to spend time with Brooklyn which I wasn't mad I was just so happy with Jason overall that he's making a effort to change and do better
I grabbed my phone and I went upstairs and I knocked on my mom's door before speaking "Mom I'm going out, I'll be bringing dinner back.." I said before walking downstairs
Jason also gave me my car back so I wasn't carless anymore
I got in my car and I drove over to Kenzie's condo and I knocked on her door, she opened the door
"Wassup girl?" Her beats hung around her neck
I walked inside and I sat on her sofa
"You were working out I see.."
Kenzie laughed and nodded "Yeah I did a little something something.." she replied plopping across from me
"So how's Ethan doing?"
Kenzie smiled "He's doing just fine actually and I told him about the pregnancy scare.."
I smiled "And?"
"He was actually cool with it surprisingly, he kinda wanted me to be pregnant but he did agree that we'd wait awhile for a baby.."
I nodded "But he does want to take me to a nice vacation spot though.."
I smiled "You should go vacation is relaxing.."
She nodded "Yeah I am but he's planning the whole thing so we'll see about that.."
I smiled and nodded at her
"So what about you? I know you and Jason snuck off to the UK.."
I laughed "It was fun actually, I actually met his family while we were down there his family are cool people but we couldn't do much because he had soccer season going on.."
Kenzie gasped "You met his family? You must got some bomb nookie.." I gasped shaking my head
"Stop.." I said laughing, "But the day before I left after his game, he took me out to dinner and we talked about a lot of things.."
"Y'all did dinner and chill?"
Laughing again I shook my head "Actually no, we just walked around after dinner and we went back to the hotel and watched movies, we didn't sleep together the whole time we were down there.."
Kenzie nodded "That's great, when is he supposed to be coming back?"
"Tomorrow supposedly.."
Sitting criss cross on the sofa I sighed "You know Jason's a sweetheart you know?"
Kenzie chuckled a bit, "How? He's so.. I don't even know the word"
"Because you don't know him like I know him, underneath all of that interior he's a genuine sweetheart, bossy as hell but a sweetheart" I said smiling at him
"Aw you're whipped already girl I can tell.." My smile slightly faded
If I knew Jason felt the same way about me things would be halfway there and I'd probably be halfway sane
I picked up my phone resting my head on the sofa, I checked my messages before putting my phone down
"You know Jacob is expecting a baby with that Rebecca girl? She was blabbing about it at the bar last night.."
I shook my head "She's dumb, she doesn't even know the half of Jacob, nobody really knows who he is.."
Kenzie chuckled a little "The dude Is off his damn rocker I'll tell you that much.."
I sighed rubbing my arms, I just want Jacob to leave me through hell alone, i'm moving on and he's moved on whilst dragging his new baby mama along
My phone rung and Instinctively I answered it
"Hello?"
"Hello love, I'm just calling to check up on you.."
I smiled "Hey Jason.. I didn't expect for you to call me so soon.."
"Yeah, I just wanted to see how you were doing since I had a minute to talk.."
"I'm fine, I'm just with Kenzie right now is all.."
"Girl time?" I could hear the humor in his voice
"Yes girl time, twlight and all that Jason.."
Jason chuckled "Glad I'm missing that.."
"You'd watch it if I asked.."
"I would, but there isn't a guarantee I'd like it.."
"It's romantic though.." I said
"No, It's so sappy.."
I laughed "Whatever, you're just boring Jason.."
Jason chuckled "Uh-huh you talking bad over the phone love? We'll see about this when I get back.."
I laughed again "No, i'm not I'm just stating facts.."
"Or opinions.." Jason replied, "Because these 'facts' of yours are very invalid.."
"Mhmm.. how's Brooklyn?" I asked
"He's fine, he's just playing in the ball pit with some friends right now.."
I smiled "I'm glad y'all are having fun out there.."
"Me too, i'm tired but when I get back I have to train some more and make sure my business is stable.."
"So I won't see you at all for a couple of days?"
"Love, I'll make time for you, you're a priority to me, you probably won't see me tomorrow but I'll make time.."
I smiled "Okay Jason.."
"I gotta go now but I'll see you soon okay?"
"Okay, bye have fun.."
"Bye love.."
I hung up the phone and I slid it back in my pocket
I sighed, noticing the shower was running Kenzie must've tip-toed off in the shower
I got up and I went through her fridge humming, I poured me a glass of almond milk, sipping on that I sat back on the sofa waiting for Kenzie
Once she came out she still had her hair in a ponytail and she grabbed her keys
"Come on I'm hungry, let's go get something to eat.." I nodded
"I'll car trail behind you.."
"You got your car back?" Kenzie asked turning on her alarm system and we left her condominium
"Yes, the jaguar since Jason and I patched things up he gave me all the gifts back and the car he bought me for my birthday.."
Kenzie nodded "Lucky, but I love my little jeep so it's all good, speaking of birthdays what are you doing for Jason's birthday? I know Fiona mentioned it's in a week or so.."
"I don't know.." I admitted "He's not big on parties, so maybe just a little gathering with his mother, father, brother, sisters, Fiona, Michael, Ethan and you.."
Kenzie nodded "That's sounds fair, nothing too big and nothing too small, so where's it going to be?"
"At his house most likely, he has a nice sized backyard.."
"You know thanksgiving is coming up soon, y'all going to spend it together?"
I shrugged "For so long it's been me and my mom and I don't think I wanna mess it up.."
"Y'all could do it as a family, you, your mom and Jason and his family.." Kenzie started "Or if he doesn't want to go with his family we could do Fiona and her family, with her dad and mom, Ethan and his folks with my parents, your mom and you and Jason.." Kenzie said
"I think that's a good idea.." Kenzie nodded "And each party brings a dish, so we could each bring our flavor to the table"
I nodded, "Let's talk to Fiona about it first.."
Kenzie nodded, dialing Fiona's number she answered on the fourth ring
"Hello? I'm on a five minute break make it quick.."
Kenzie quickly told Fiona the plan and she agreed to it but she said she'll run it through Michael to be sure
Kenzie hung up the phone, the elevator opened up and we stepped inside and Kenzie hit the elevator button for the lobby
"So where you wanna eat?" Kenzie asked
"How about Chili's? I'm not that picky.."
Kenzie nodded "Chili's it is then.."

We arrived at Chili's and we ordered us some drinks and we looked at the menus
"I wonder what kind of mothers we would be.." Kenzie spoke
"Well we would provide for our children I know that much.."
"Yeah I know, I never really deeply thought about kids until I met Ethan, I was either too busy wrapped up on my career or tryna make a pussy nigga commit to me and he only wanted one thing.." Kenzie said
"You can't make those who commit who don't want to.."
Kenzie nodded "Yeah I know, I was being stupid thinking I could change them but you can't, they can only change themselves.."
"Exactly.."
"But when I met Ethan everything changed, he's just such a good guy he's very attentive, yeah he has flaws but who doesn't? He's made me feel special and I haven't had that in some years, I can open up to him without being afraid of him rejecting me and he can do the same to me and you know everytime I look at him I forget he's twenty-seven and teenage girls heart throb over him? I just feel lucky.."
I smiled "I'm glad you honestly feel that way about him Kenzie compared to what you have dated, Ethan tops the cake and I want nothing for you but happiness.."
"And I want the same for you Katrina, I can see Jason makes you really happy and I'm just so proud you left Jacob in the past and you're building your future with Jason and I know I never say this a lot but you and Fiona are like sisters I never had although I do have a bitch sister but that's a whole different story.."
I chuckled, "I think of you two as the same.."
We ordered our food and in advance I placed my mom's order
I sipped on my drink and I glanced around at the place, just my luck Jacob and some girl came walking in
"What the hell?" I mumbled, Kenzie looked up and she looked back down "You want to leave?"
I shook my head "I'm fine, we already ordered, we are just gonna ignore them.."
Kenzie nodded and whispered "That's the white girl I was telling you about, the Rebecca chick.."
I nodded still sipping my drink, I remebered looking through his files back in Detroit he has one Puerto Rican baby mama and two black girls plus his wife and now this Rebecca chick, but the women he had affairs with over twenty women, could be more I didn't read that far before I got angry, really angry
I ate on the chips and salsa, the hostess set them right across from us, I sipped on my drink
"Seriously?" Kenzie mumbled "I might just lose my appetite looking at HIV on legs.."
I laughed at Kenzie being obnoxious, "You know Katrina I could make Jacob look like mud, I could expose all his affairs.."
"I thought about it, but no if he's smart he'd kept the women hush hush with loads of money and I don't want him holding your job in his hands Kenzie.."
Kenzie nodded "Yeah, I bet the dude has a multiple personalty disorder cause how does he get all those women? That's disgusting.." Kenzie whispered
"He's just very charming is all it's easy to fall for but he's not Jason so I don't want that shit.." I whispered back
Kenzie laughed "I know that's right.."
Once our food came I ate the food and I felt Jacob staring at me, it creeped me out it felt like he was undressing me with his eyes, I glanced up at him and I quickly put my eyes down
This man is a whole creep, I sighed feeling uncomfortable my phone rang and I answered it
"Hello?" I whispered into my phone
"Why are you whispering love?"
I felt like I was about to cry any second, I panicked
"Jason.." I said my voice cracking
"Katrina what's wrong?"
I felt the tears rolling down my cheeks "Can you come home?" I mumbled, wiping my face
"Yes, but why are you crying love?"
"I don't like him looking at me Jason I feel dirty.."
"I want you to take whoever you're with and go home, I'll try to get home as soon as I can.."
I nodded, "Bye Jason.."
"Bye baby I'll see you soon.."
I hung up the phone and Kenzie rushed the waiter for the check and my mom's food I kept my head down
I thought I could've kept my composure with Jacob but the incident he tried to force himself on me replayed in my mind, him touching me, kissing me and groping my ass
Once the waitress came with our food Kenzie slapped money down on the table and I grabbed my mom's food and we left the restaurant I got in my car and I started up the engine
My phone rung signaling, I had a text message, I unlocked my phone
"You can't run from me forever Katrina"
I sighed, starting up my car Kenzie and I left the parking lot
I started to feel sick to my stomach, I didn't know a Ex could be this damn crazy
