Scripted Silence
When silence surrounds me,
And I want nothing but to flee,
It keeps me embraced and lonely,
Like a shell locks up one pearl only.
Sometimes I need it,
When there are conversations to quit,
But it won't come then and chatter will torment me,
Until they finally begin to see.
I've hurt people often, tried to silence their chat,
And I must have seemed like a scared little cat,
But I wanted them to learn,
That I only wanted silence's return,
Because it was the thing that held me together,
Unpredictably dark, or light like a feather.
And sometimes it became much too dark,
So I longed for a remark,
But it was way to hard to catch,
So soon enough I stopped to snatch.
So whether you want silence or not,
Once it's there, you can hardly change it's plot.
It will either be your killer,
Or your glorious saviour,
Only Time will tell, if you really read a thriller,
But it will be too late, to escape it's behaviour.
