Let the drama begin.....
ALLANA'S POV
You know that awful feeling where your heart is sinking , stomach churns unpleasantly , sweaty fists clenching unclenching and your tongue is tied down as words fail you . That is exactly how I feel at the moment or perhaps a thousand times more worse. I bite my lip harshly trying to control the tears threatening to leave my eyes as I watch the lads perform on stage. Tension is evident amongst them mainly due to Niall's hostile behavior towards Zayn. He is refusing to acknowledge Zayn's presence on stage, behaving in a ruthless manner as if Zayn is no longer a part of One Direction. Liam is persistently trying to bridge the rift between Niall and Zayn whereas Harry is trying to distract the attention of the crowd by performing certain gimmicks. Louis appears completely muddled by the entire scenario while my poor baby is maintaining his calm and returning Niall's frightening glares with a polite smile. Although they sound heavenly performing in sync,the lack of their usual bromance is detectable especially between Ziall.
The show is on the verge of wrapping with barely 10 minutes remaining and the loud pounding of my heart is the only sound filling my ears. Niall is extremely unhappy , his accusatory glances towards me and Zayn are a proof and knowing my brother I am certain of the fact that things are going to get ugly.
The concert ends with a thunderous applause and cheers from the audience as the boys walk back from the stage towards the lounge area to rest before the meet-and-greet with fans begin in an hour.
All five boys alongwith Eleanor and Sophia enter the massive lounge area with Paul and me hot on their trail to update them regarding their meet-and-greet schedule. The manner in which the boys stood in the room reminded me of two warring nations , the sight causing me to gulp dryly. Liam , Harry , Zayn and Sophia stood on one side of the room while Louis ,Niall and Eleanor were settled on a sofa at the other end of the room. Niall's eyes diverted towards the door where me and Paul were standing and I tried to hide my petite figure behind Paul.
" Paul if you don't mind the lads and me need to have an urgent private discussion so can we catch up with you within half an hour?" Niall requests Paul in a curt tone.
"Alright but remember you'll need to be ready for the meet and greet which starts approximately in an hour." Paul instructs them sternly and begins to walk away, me following him.
" Also I would request the respective girlfriends of the lads to wait behind and join our interesting discussion." Niall says casting his blue eyes on me. " Shouldn't you be joining Zayn , Allana ? He sneers at me. I tap my foot impatiently against the floor pleading the ground to open and swallow me as Eleanor gasps loudly , Louis mutters 'what the fuck' while Paul raises his eyebrows at me , a grin spreading on his lips.
" You take a break with them kid and then get back to work." Paul tells me in a bossy tone and then softly whispers , " Finally Zayn chose the right girl eh !" He pats my head affectionately and exits the room leaving me with seven pairs of eyes staring intensely at me.
Zayn strides towards me , his hazel eyes scanning my face with concern. He strokes my cheek gently with his thumb , the gesture successfully calming my pounding heartbeat.
" I got you babe." He whispers pecking my forehead and I look at him in awe . Zayn has to face the irrelevant wrath of my brother because of me yet he is comforting me handling the situation with subtleness , not showing any sign of indignation.
"What the fuck is going on ? Niall why the hell were you behaving like a twat with Zayn on stage ? Zaynie boy what is going on between you and Miss Sassy ? Can anybody fucking answer ?" Louis bellows.
" I would be delighted in enlightening you , Lou." Niall says in an eerie voice getting up from his seat and pacing across the room.
"The fuck that's going on is that Zayn is fucking playing games with my naïve sister. You disgust me Zayn , couldn't you find another chick to aimlessly fuck around with ? You freaking trapped her with your charm and sooner or later you will break her heart ? You should've known that my sister was off-limits , you bastard." Niall says seething in rage.
I am appalled by Niall's abusive language and cold demeanor towards Zayn but it baffles me to know that he is portraying Zayn as a heartless player and me as his new playtoy. His accusations are baseless , irrelevant fuelled with his anger and prejudiced assumptions.
" Ni , let me explain. You are misconstruing my relationship with Allana." Zayn begins to be interrupted with Niall raising his hand.
" Your drama skills won't be working on me Malik . Allana maybe imbecile to fall for your words but I certainly will not." Niall tells him in a condescending tone.
"Seriously Zayn , you could've screwed any girl and you chose Niall's sister ? What is wrong with you ?" Louis says sharply and his words pierce me like needles.
Zayn clenches his jaw , breathing heavily , " Watch your fucking mouth Tomlinson when you talk about my girlfriend. I will not tolerate anybody disrespecting Allana." His hazel eyes are turning a darker shade of brown and I can literally feel his body trembling with fury.
Clasping my hand on his wrist eventually I intertwine our fingers .His tense posture visibly relaxes at my touch and out of the corner of my eye I see Harry giving me a thumbs up.
" Well congratulations Allana , you have managed to do something nobody has been able to do in the past five years." Eleanor says clapping her hands. I give her a confused expression and she shoots me a sarcastic smile. " C'mon don't act so innocent , not after the antics you have performed. You must be very talented since you have been able to get these brothers fight against each other. Never did I think I would witness these lads yelling at each other."
Tears sting my eyes at Eleanor's bitchy comments , realizing my discomfort Zayn embraces me , " Sshh you are strong baby. Don't let her vile comments get to you." I nod my head , readying myself to retaliate to her but Harry beats me to it.
" And never did I think I would witness a day when you would stop uttering bullshit El." Harry tells her evasively.
Liam snorts at Harry's words and Sophia quickly hushes him.
" Harold don't misbehave with my girl." Louis says gritting his teeth.
"Then you better learn to put your girl on a leash. She is adding fuel to the fire and hurling unwarranted accusations at Allana." Zayn says defensively.
" Don't bloody sass me Zayn . Your girl is the reason why our performance could've been ruined today. She is the reason why Niall is after your throat ? She is the very fucking reason you and me are arguing . Can't you see your relationship with her is not good for the band ?" Louis states.
" The band comprises of me and Harry as well Lou , and we beg to differ with your opinion. Firstly our performance today was entertaining and the fans thoroughly enjoyed it . A few glitches occur in every concert and if a few glitches happened in today's show it is nothing but natural , I'd reckon you stop using that futile excuse for blaming Allana. Secondly Niall being Allana's brother is bound to go all hulk on her dating Zayn. That's exactly how every brother's DNA is designed , to fathom any boy who fancies his sister. It's between him and Zayn , let them sort it out .So again , you got no relevant point there in blaming Allana. Thirdly you are arguing with Zayn because you spoke rude words pertaining to Allana and just like you cannot tolerate Haz being mean to El despite her being at fault , how do you expect Zayn to not defend his lovely lady. Lastly are you high Louis ? I am asking you this question because Zayn's relationship with Allana is not a threat to the band rather she has been a positive influence in his life. Are you blind Lou ? Can't you not see how happy Zayn has been over the past 3 months ? She is the reason for his happiness." Liam concludes his small speech with a smug expression on his face.
Harry and Sophia give him a small applause while I mentally decide to hire Liam as my lawyer whenever I land in trouble. He is good , scratch that he is bloody amazing.
" My intelligent Lima bean , always uttering words of wisdom. You should learn something from him El." Harry snickers at Eleanor who scoffs folding her arms.
Jesus Christ ! This whole scenario has more drama than an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Louis opens his mouth to counter Liam but then closes it again , shooting daggers at me and Zayn.
" How long has this shit been going on ?" Niall asks Zayn.
" We developed a liking towards each other when we were hanging out in Bradford which is approximately 3 months ago and officially we have been dating since two weeks." Zayn answers him back.
" Okay and when are you gonna end your act and walk all over her so that she can actually see the real asshole you are ?" Niall asks him as a matter of fact.
Zayn heaves an exasperated sigh running his fingers through his hair , " Ni , I really like her a lot and I am damn serious about my relationship with her."
" Really Zayn ? Then why have you not announced your relationship with her yet ? Forget that , you are suppose to be my best mate right ? Shouldn't I be the first person you should've disclosed your relationship to ?"
" You are correct on your part Ni but a few things are complicated . I am trying to protect Allana. I will explain it to you in detail."
" I don't wanna hear your shit . The only reasonable explanation is that you are a son of a---"
" Enough !" I scream at Niall . " Stop cussing at him Niall. If you have decided in your head that you will blame Zayn then kindly continue but don't you dare abuse him anymore or be volatile about your negative thoughts relating to him."
Niall's expression softens and I can once again feel the attention of every occupant present in the room on me.
" Since the moment you have found out about us , you have been nothing but an arrogant stubborn bitch towards Zayn chucking attitude at him. On the contrary he is trying hard to convince you in seeing the truth about us , but you are just not ready to hear him out. You have been constantly swearing at him and just because he is brushing it off because he values his brotherhood with you , doesn't mean I will tolerate you giving crap to him." My chest is rising and falling due to my sharp intakes of breath and I can feel the room spinning around me.
" Lama listen.." Niall begins but I cut him off.
"You have spoken enough Ni , now it's my turn. The reason we didn't tell about us is right in front of you. I knew you would judge us. I wanted to break it to you when I felt I would be ready to express to you how madly we have fallen for each other. There are complications Niall and I want you to support us rather than resent Zayn.I was aware of the drastic conclusions people would draw when they would hear about Zayn Malik dating me but I never expected my brother to run a foul-mouth rant on us." I say glancing at Louis and Eleanor who shifts their eyes from me.
" Stop making Zayn the bad guy . He is indispensable in my life and even if in the future we separate nobody will take the place he owns in my heart. Also for the heck of your knowledge he has never fucked or screwed or banged or done whatever the hell you have indicted him for. He values me and makes me feel secured. I am beatific in my relationship with him and you have to accept it Niall. You do that sooner or later that is completely your choice but one thing you need to get through your thick skull is that Zayn and me are a package deal . There is no me without him or him without me." I let out a breath I have been holding, my nostrils flaring as I look at my blonde haired brother who seems to be tongue-tied.
" You got a feisty one Malik .Hail Zallana !" Harry cheers and pats Zayn's back.
" I love you Niall. I love you a lot and you promised me you will always have my back forever." I tell him , my voice cracking.
" I love you too Lama." He replies back softly and leaves the room.
Zayn wraps me in a tight hug as I break into tears , staining his white-button up. "Baby please don't cry." He says stroking my hair.
" He hates me Zayn." I sob.
"No he doesn't. We need to give him time to think about it. Besides my baby girl is too precious and its impossible for anyone to not love you. Loving you comes naturally." He says and I tighten my hold on him.
If loving me comes naturally does that mean Zayn is in love with me ?
