I'm writing a new story called 'Rebel Darling'. It's a Science Fiction/Dystopian-ish kinda story and I was wondering if you would mind checking it out!

They scan us once a year. A week later, at least two people go missing, never to be seen again. They scan us to see our progress, or so they say.
"If the scanner goes red, you're gonna wish you were dead."
"They take you in the middle of the night."
Those were the recent rumours spreading through the hallways the day before the Scan. Teens saying things to try and scare the Junior grades. I've been hearing these things for three years, they don't scare me anymore.
Maybe they should have.
I stepped into the human size glass tube like I've done since I was five, which turned green every year and will this year. My progress has been fine, I've grown, learned and started to cook on my own. I received the shock of my life when the light above me turned a bright shade of red.
