As Grace was driving to school this morning, she noticed Alaric following her as he had to get to school too. She parks and they get out of their cars at the same time. Alaric smiles discreetly at her and she smiles back. She then walks to her locker and talks to Elena and Caroline. Bonnie is no where to be found.
"Where's Bonnie?" Grace asks the group
"Probably at home with her grams." Care says
Grace nods. The bell rings signaling they are late for class. Grace shrugs and they all walk to Alaric's class. Once there, they go sit in their seats.
"May I ask why you three were late?" He asks the trio.
"We were talking." Grace says
"You could talk while walking to class. On time." He says looking directly at Grace
"Sorry. Doesn't work like that. We talk whenever we want to and if we are late, we are late." Grace says
"Do you want detention?" Alaric asks
"Not really." She says
"Then stop back talking." Alaric says
Grace nods. He continues on with class. At the end of the day, Damon comes to pick Grace up.
"Grace, I'll drive you home." Alaric says
"Damon was going to drive me home today. He always drives me home." Grace says
"Well, now I'm taking you home. Not Damon." Alaric says starting to get a little possessive.
"I'm going home with Damon. Damon is my best friend." Grace says to Alaric
Alaric growls softly and walks over.
"I'm driving you home. End of story." He says
"No. Damon is." She says and walks over to Damon's car.
"Grace, you get in that car, and I swear. We will be over." Alaric says
"Then I guess we are over." She says getting in Damon's car.
Damon drives off leaving Alaric standing there looking very angry. Damon drives towards Grace's house.
"I'm sorry that happened." Damon says
"Nah. It's fine." She says looking out the window.
Truth is, it wasn't fine for Grace. She really liked him.
"Are you sure?" He asks her
"No. Its not fine. I really liked him. I guess it just wasn't meant to be." She says and gets out of the car.
