Over the last few days Luke has been thrown head first into a mountain of pack business. I guess that's what happens when you neglect your work for a few days, just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. 'Pack business', two very vague words put together to form an answer, however an answer is far from what it provides. It just raises more questions. I will find out exactly what 'pack business' entails out of curiosity, insecurity or curtsy. I refuse to be a typical Luna so I will learn and I will assist.

However his continuous absence has been more of a god send than a nuisance. It has given me time to sneak off to the warehouse and start working on the boys cars and bikes. Every single one has some kind of external damage. Remind me to never give them a fragile and expensive object.
These aren't small scrapes either, it looks like they played multiple games of chicken and their stubbornness prevented them from moving so they settled on a head on collision. Running my fingers along some of the dents and impact points i'm surprised these boys are still in one piece.
Today is no different from the last three days. I woke up in an empty bed with another good morning and pack business text from the dare devil himself. Those damn two words will drive me insane. I had a quick breakfast and left before the others woke up. I feel like i'm doing the walk of shame after a one night stand.

For the last five hours i've been under a car trying to get it to start. My white tank top now covered in oil and dirt. I blast my music to fill the eery silence and am quite content. Over the last few months I haven't had much alone time. It seems almost strange, part of me is just waiting to hear their voices.

I moved on to my problem baby. The car that has put up a fight for the last two days. Everything seems to work perfectly. It runs, everything is where it's meant to be. To the average person there seems to be no logical reason for this car to be in this warehouse.
I elevated the car just enough to allow me to slip underneath it and take a closer look. My life is currently in the hands of a small mechanical tool that is holding a few tons over my head. That's when I noticed it.The breaks are virtually none existent in this car.
They've been worn down to nothing. No friction, no breaks. This would be a deathtrap on wheels. These boys need to learn how to treat a car.

Seconds after I solved my problem baby, two small hands had a firm grasp on my ankles. Pulling me out from under the car Bonnie is standing over me with an unusually large smile on her face.
"How about we go for lunch?"
I stared at her trying to figure out if this is some joke but she seemed genuine. We have never gone out for the soul purpose of lunch.
"Or we could just head home and cook something ourselves" Bonnie has never been the type to throw money around or splash out. She only spends money on something she can reuse, her favourite items including clothes and make up. But going out for a meal is more her and Aaron's thing, their typical date night. Maybe i'm reading too much into this but I can't help it. It's out of character, a change and I don't really like change.

As if on impulse she shot my idea down. Instead she opened a toolbox near her and pulled out a wrench.
"Need a hand?"
Her offer was appreciated but ten minutes after she began "helping" I realised I was right. She doesn't have a clue about cars. None the less she stayed to help me and I enjoyed the company.

At three o'clock on the dot I closed the hood of the car. My stomach has been growling for the passed hour and a half. There is only so long you can ignore hunger before it starts interfering with your work. I need to do the best I can on these machines not only for the boys but for my own sense of accomplishment. So I did the right thing and called it a day. Luke is usually home by now and soon he'll start asking questions.

But Bonnie beat him to it.
"Um what are you doing?"
While cleaning up I explained myself to her while throwing a towel at her for her to wipe the grease off her hands. Bonnie seems a bit distant, actually to think of it they all do. Stepping outside to close the warehouse door all the hairs on my body stood up. I felt like a human goose bump. The ice cold winter weather is numbing but the blanket of white that has settled on the floor and the hood of the car is beautiful. Bonnie stepped to the side to take a phone call while I layered on the clothes. I had all the heaters available on in the warehouse so the cold hit me like an 18 wheeler. I sat into my car and wrapped my emergency/picnic blanket around me. I'm getting great use out of my survival kit. Looking at the picturesque view in front of me something is missing. There are tyre tracks in the snow but no car. They form a u-turn leading to and from the warehouse door. Staring intently at the tracks I tried to place them, my fingers tapped on the steering wheel as I followed the pattern.

The blanket saved me for the gust of wind that would have hit me when Bonnie opened the car door. Smiling from ear to ear she settled into the car, instinctively putting on her seatbelt and rubbing her hands to warm them up. Her phone never left her hand, she didn't speak at all. So I had a one sided conversation with myself.

"Hey Lexi, how was your day?"
"Ah you know yourself, elbow deep in grease. Couldn't have been better."
"Really? You look so amazing I never would have guessed you spent the entire day under a car, how are you so gorgeous? I wish I could be like you, you're so good at everything and just so much cooler than me."
"Now now Bon Bon, not everyone can be born as talented and gifted as I was, it's a curse really."

She couldn't take it anymore and laughed "you wish"

Finally some interaction. The cyborgs haven't taken over just yet. Our conversation remained minimal so I put the radio on full blast while hurrying home.

Barely in the door we were both diving for the thermostat. Time to turn this ice box into a sauna. Bonnie took off her coat and hung it on the banister as I took off my damp boots. Barely giving me enough time to regain my balance Bonnie was already shoving me up the stairs.

"Whoa, what's the rush?" She looked slightly unnerved by my unwillingness to comply.
"There's no rush I just don't want you to get sick." I stopped on the second step and turned towards her.
"The heating is on full blast and I was inside all day, i'm not going to get sick." She stood there for a minute thinking.
"I just don't want you to get anything dirty....and i'm about to do a wash" She was doing so well up to that point. She was almost believable until she mentioned her doing the washing. Bonnie is the reason that we all have pink shirts. She is not allowed to do the washing nor did she ever want to after that incident.

With a huff she gave into my stare. "Alright, I was wondering if I could borrow your black leather jacket."

Part of me was screaming Bullshit but I could see that she was practically begging me to just give in and go with it. Turning on my heels I gave her exactly what she wanted as I made my way upstairs. Walking into my wardrobe my hands skimmed across the neatly placed and organised hangers until I found what I was looking for. Bonnie immediately tried it on, checking herself out in the mirror as I flopped onto the bed.

I could give the princess and the pea a run for her money, the second I hit the mattress I could tell something's off. Something is different. I scuttled to my feet and tore back the duvet not at all happy with the fact that whatever was under the sheet interfered with my R&R time.

I was not prepared for what I found. A full length black evening dress laid out perfectly on my side of the bed slightly distorted from my lying on it. A small card was placed on top of it. Two words were all I was given.
"Wear me" I whispered reading the note. I turned to Bonnie who is of course still admiring herself in the mirror.
"Did you know?" She spun towards me and recovered from the shock of my voice suddenly breaking the silence.
"Know what?" Bonnie is not a good actress so the look of confusion is genuine.

I simply pointed to the bed, she gasped "Lexi this is gorgeous, from Luke?"
I watched as she ran her hands over the silky material
"That's what I was hoping you'd tell me"
Looking at me from the corner of her eye she muttered "I guess, he wouldn't tell me incase I ruined it. My job was just to get you into the room"
Bonnie is shocking at keeping secrets, but she can't help it. She gets excited and gets word vomit when pressured.

She left me alone in the room to get changed. I checked my phone, still nothing. No sign of the boys and no further instructions, typical. Desperate to find out what's going on I slip on the dress, it sits just right and compliments my curves. I took my hair out of the high ponytail and simply brushed it out. Nothing fancy and no make up. It's good to give yourself a rest every now and then. I shouldn't have to reply on make up, I refuse to allow myself to succumb to that.

The day somehow managed to escape me. As I walked downstairs ridiculously overdressed I noticed just how dark it was getting.

I slowly made my way into the kitchen where Bonnie was making noise. Upon hearing my footsteps she froze and turned to face me.
Smiling she admitted "Luke is one lucky son of a bitch"
Shocked I could do nothing but stare at her. It is very rare for Bonnie to curse.
"Now that's not very lady like" she laughed at me.
"And what do you know about lady like?" Shots fired, I stared her down
"Touché"

Taking off my shoes and leaving them in the corner I began to help Bonnie prepare the dinner. Peeling potatoes and chopping carrots we make quite the team. Half way through our stew a knock on the back door interrupted our flow. Bonnie asked me to check it out while she mashed the potatoes.

"Twist, twist, twist, twist, mashed potato mambo" I twisted all the way to the door. I unlocked the back door and shouted over my shoulder to tell Bonnie to stop laughing at me. With the door half open suddenly there was a force behind it and I was shoved back.

Caught off guard and slightly disorientated I stumbled a bit. I caught myself and took a swing at the intruder who ducked and bi-passed me. I stuck my leg out to trip the roughly 210 pound, 6ft odd mound of muscle in front of me. I lifted my knee to wind him but I found myself in a completely different situation. Arms wrapped around me, pinning my hands to my side and incapacitating me. I was then hoisted into the air and slung over a broad shoulder. Instinctively I wrapped my arm around my attackers neck and began to apply pressure. My aim was to restrict the airway and weaken my attacker.

Yet I did not complete my task. I stopped struggling when I heard Bonnie mutter "our lift is here"

The all too familiar mocking voice of Zachary himself wasn't too far behind. "Awwwww he's trying to kidnap her and she's trying to knock him out, relationship goals!!!"

I dropped my arms and hung over Luke's shoulder like a dead weight until he put me down, cursing them as I waited. Luke took his sweet time but eventually I could feel the cold breeze from outside hit my stomach indicating that i'm no longer acting as an accessory. My feet came into contact with the floor seconds after I felt the breeze.

Luke kept me pressed against him and his arms circled my waist. I tried to push away and hit his chest but my efforts went unnoticed as his grip never faltered.

"You asshat, ever just think of asking me to meet you somewhere?" I could hear Zach snigger as I gave Luke a slap around the back of the head. So slightly turning myself so the glare would have it's full impact I pointed at him "and don't think you're getting off easy, mister. You are all going to pay!"

I was finally released from the muscly cage. As I took a step forward Zach flinched which made me smile. Bonnie and Aaron had already got back to cooking so I just leaned on the counter with my head in my hands and my butt slightly sticking out. Within seconds Luke's hands were on my hips and he was right by my side.

"Alright so why did I have to wear a dress?"

"Can't you just dress up to see your boyfriend after a hard days work?" As the words left his lips I could see the regret in his eyes as he proceeded what he just said to his very passionate, strong willed, proud feminist girlfriend.

"You know I love you princess, you're just so strong and independent. You could take Zach in a fight any day."

"heeeeeeey" Zach whined.

"nice save" I rolled my eyes at them and began to tie up my hair when Luke's rough, large hands stop me.

"no, no, don't. We have to go now." I went to ask a question but before I could get the words out Luke had a firm grip on my hips and pulled me flush against him. I gasped slightly from the sudden movement. I tilted my head to look up at him but he had something else in mind as he began kissing my neck. lowly working his way up he firmly whispered "now" in my ear before letting go of me and stepping back.

"Ok rule number one, no PDA!" Like a child Zach covered his eyes and stuck his tongue out in disgust.

"Now are you going to walk to the car like a big girl or do I have to carry you again?" I could hear the taunt in Luke's voice. Almost as if he was daring me to challenge him. Instead of giving into his childish games, I walked to the door with my head held high. Instantly regretting my decision as the cold hit me like a ton of bricks. Instinctively I wrapped my arms around myself and braved the cold. I was just about to take my first step when I was sweeped off my feet, literally. Letting out a little yelp Luke laughed at me

"No shoes Cinderella." I had forgotten that I had taken my shoes off earlier, I guess I was too caught up in the events of the last few minutes. I sat quietly in Luke's arms, snuggling into the warmth as he walked towards the car. Looking over his shoulder I saw Bonnie waving my shoes. She has my back. Zach skipped passed us and opened the passenger door. Carefully Luke sat me into the car, I adjusted myself in the seat as the other three doors opened and I was joined by the four dopes. Luke took the driver seat and started the engine.

"So is anyone going to tell me what's going on?" I looked in the wing mirror to be met with three panicked expressions as they stare intently at the back of Luke's head. They have developed a habit of keeping me in the dark which I am not fond of. It leads to unpredictable events and being unprepared. Two things that I am not comfortable with.

"Let me rephrase that. Tell me what's going on." It went from silence to stadium with the amount of noise they made. Each trying to talk over the other.I picked up keys words here and there but I honestly had no clue what they were saying to me. I noticed that Luke remained quiet. He didn't say a thing, he didn't even look in my direction.

It wasn't long before Zach, Aaron and Bonnie began bickering among themselves. Luke rested his hand on my thigh but kept his eyes on the road. In a low voice he answered my question "You are wearing a dress because by the time we get there you won't have time to change, you will arrive how you are and we will be in wolf form. We are going to introduce you to the other Alpha's for the first time."

That last sentence replayed in my mind, over and over again. Finally I am going to be officially known as the luna of this pack. I can't quite place how I feel. It's a mix of nervousness and pride.

The meeting will take place tonight at midnight, how cliche. Apparently there is some special event taking place. Luke is being very vague and there is only one reason. He's not addressing the fact that they will not accept me. I will have to prove myself. I will have to work my ass off just to gain acceptance, nothing i'm not used to. It'll be like the corp all over again, subtle hints at my gender and implying that i'm not capable.

Closing my eyes just for a second, to process everything my thoughts seemed to slip away from me.
