I followed Calum up to the entrance, watching him flash the guard his ID. "She's with me," I heard Calum speak up, and the guard let us both through, but not without eyeing me first.
Perv.
Now I'm beyond thankful that I asked him to come with me.
"Thank you," I breathed and he looked at me.
"No problem."
The area around us was beautiful; stars shone brightly lighting up the sky above, while seas of people seemed to pulse around us, all grinding along to the music. You could hear the waves crashing onto the shore, mixing with the upbeat sounds coming from the huge speakers. My heart was racing, body trembling with excitement. I've never been to something like this, or done anything remotely close to this before.
People were chatting loudly, dancing, somewhere even swimming, but they all had smiles on their faces. It made me happy for once to see others so happy.
Calum appeared behind me, with a cup of a mystery liquid and I raised my eyebrow at him suspiciously.
"You didn't seem much like the drinking type, so I just got you a beer."
"Thanks," I said, taking a quick sip.
Wow, it's not that bad. I downed the whole cup, feeling adrenaline flowing through my veins like electricity. Any guilt I felt before had gone away. No more Luke.
"Could I have some more?" I asked giddily.
"Take it easy there; you just got here," he laughed, but handed me another one. After taking one more sip, I felt confident enough to get onto the dance floor, myself.
I grabbed Calum by the hand and pulled him close to me. "Dance with me!"
He took my hand and lead the way as I copied his moves, downing my second drink by now. After a couple songs of innocent dancing, he turned me around so that my back was basically touching his front.
He bent down so that his mouth was right next to my ear, whispering huskily. "Do what feels right, baby.
I started swaying my hips to the music, feeling his hands holding onto them tightly. His hips matched my movement, and I before long I could feel something hard resting on my ass.
He moaned and I grinded harder; people around us that were even moderately sober probably thought we were having dry sex.
When he turned me back around and tried to lean in for a kiss, I pulled back. Thoughts of Luke surged through my mind and I let out a cry of frustration.
Calum frowned. "Why won't you let me kiss you?"
"I-I'm sorry, I don't know," I said loud enough so that he could hear me over the boom of the base in the background.
"Are you serious? You let me grind on you but you won't let me kiss you?" He asked, getting visibly angry.
I felt a lump in my throat. "I'm so sorry Calum," I repeated, turned around, and ran away from him.
