Chapter 2.....
- "OOH! OOH! And he scores!"
11 year old. Rick laughed as he watched Javi and Kevin play basketball.
"Rick! Why aren't you playing?"
"Well, I'd beat you guys to badly."
"Ya right." They both laughed and soon got a glare from Rick.
He was about to say something but the gym doors opened and 11 year old Kate ran in.
"Sorry I'm late." She panted."
"It's fine." Rick winked.
"Hey boys."
"Hey Kate."
"So now can we play!" Javi asked.
"Ya, now we can." Rick smirked.

Kate, Rick, Javi, and Kevin were best friends, along with Lanie who was on vacation with her family at the moment.
They had always been there for each other.
After playing multiple games they decided to get some burger's from Remmy's.
They ate and talked as usual.
"So I wonder what middle school's gonna be like." Kate said.
"Easy I'm sure." Rick stated.
"Ya, I talked to my cousin! Maria, she said 6th grade was easy." Javi stated.
"It's gonna be a blast." Kevin exclaimed.
"Ya it.." Rick didn't get to finish because his phone started ringing.
He sighed and pressed the answer button on his Iphone.
"Hello? Hi Mom, Err at Remy's with the gang. Yep, will do.. k bye."
He smiled and hung up.
"Everything ok?" Kate asked.
"Ya, my mom just wanted to make sure you all were still coming over for movie night.
"Yep."
"Definitely."
"Oh ya."

"Hello Darlings."
"Hi Miss Rodgers!"
they all said including Rick who smirked.
"Really Richard!" He laughed and sat on the couch.
"Just playing."
"Alright, I got all the snacks out for you all, I have to run though, will you all be ok?"
"Ya!"
"Good."
She smiled and grabbed her purse.
"Ta Ta!" They heard the door click and lock.
"Ok which movie?" Kate asked.
"CAPTAIN AMERICA!" All three boys yelled.
Kate rolled her eyes, she loved the boys like her brother's but she was glad to have a girl as a friend too.
"Fine." She sighed and crossed her arms as she sat back on the couch.
Rick smiled and went on Netflix, played the movie and sat back.

When Martha returned Kate, Rick, and the boys were all asleep on the couch.
She chuckled and gently shook Rick.
"Darling."
"Hmm?"
"Come on, let's put these three in the guest room's."
"Ok." He yawned and sat up.
"Kate."
"Hmm?"
"Come on, my mother said you guys could stay in the guest rooms.
"Ok." She yawned and sat up.
"Boys."
"We heard you."
They yawned at sat up.
"You guys share a room, Kate can get the 2n'd room."
"K." They all nodded and walked up the stairs.
"Night darling."
"Night mom." Rick waved and disappeared up the stairs.

When Kate woke up to the smell of bacon she smiled, bacon was her favorite.
She quickly freshened up and walked down the stairs.
"Morning sleepyhead." Rick chuckled.
"Morning, boys up?"
"Ya, they're in the living room."
"K."
"Here's your breakfast." He smiled and handed her a plate.
"Thanks!"
"No prob, oh and extra syrup."
"You know me Rick."
"Mmm Hmm."

As Kate, and the boys watched tv, Rick's doorbell rang.
"Hmm, wonder who that could be."
He got up and answered the door to find a upset Lanie.
"LANIE!"
"Hi Rick." She smiled.
"Come in."
When Kate saw Lanie walk in with a smile at Rick but soon frowned when she saw her she knew something was wrong.
"Lanie?"
"Kate! I told you I was getting back today! You promised to meet me at the mall!"
"Oh no! I'm so sorry I totally forgot!"
She sighed and unfolded her arms
"Just..make it up to me."
"I will."
"Good."
"Hey chica, grab a plate."
"Rick?"
"Hmm?"
"Be a dear and dish me a plate." Rick chuckled and nodded.
"Sure Lane, for you."
"Thanks sweetie."
"No prob."
He smiled and disappeared into the kitchen.
Lanie went to the other's and sat down.
"Forgive me?" Kate asked.
"I guess, as long as you get me those earrings I want." Lanie stated with a smirk.
Kate laughed and smiled "Sure Lane, sure."
