- hey guys this is my first fanfiction based off of an actual fandom so please bare with me, enjoy!- -Also I will be at camp this following week so I can't update until i get back ;-;
-Inuyasha's POV-
"Dammit!"
I said, tapping my fingers on the rough ground of Kaede's hut,
"What's takin' Kagome so long to return?"
Kaede looked up from whatever the hell she was doing and said to me,
"Inuyasha, if ye wants to see Kagome so badly, ye should go and fetch her yourself."
Damn, why didn't I think of that before
"Shut up you old hag! Don't tell me what to do!"
I said before standing up and brushing my way out the door.
I set off at a quick pace in the direction of the Bone Eater's well
"She's been gone for three days all because of her stupid "school",
I said aloud,
"She needs to get her priorities straight, it's Naraku we need to be fighting off, not some weak "entrance exam" demon."
I quicken my pace when the well comes into view and hop into it. Immediately, I feel myself being sucked into Kagome's world, and as I step out of the well I see her family's shrine around me instead of the forest that surrounds the well in my world.
Kagome's world is so weird,
I think to myself,
I can never get used to it, no matter how many times I come over here to drag her ass back.
As I'm walking out of the shrine where the well is, I see her running out of her house carrying her yellow backpack, except she isn't running towards me.
"Hey Kagome!"
I yell while chasing her,
"You said three days was all you need and it's been three days! We're going back whether you like it or not!"
She turns to look at me while continuing to run.
"Sit boy!" She yells and keeps running.
"Agh!" I say as my face slams into the ground.
Curse her, she'll pay for that later.
I get up and dust myself off, seeing the weird stares from people around me and remembering kagome to tell me to cover my ears in her world. I quickly run back to her house and take the strange hat I wear when I visit.
By the time I run back to the place she told me to sit, she's out of sight.
Damn, I'll have to follow her scent all around this stinkin' village.
I bend down on the ground, crawling around until I find her scent trail and start to follow it.
Haha Kagome, I've found you and once I get to you I'm taking you back!
-Kagome's POV-
I sigh as I make it to my seat right as the bell is ringing.
As the test goes on I sit thinking about this morning.
That Inuyasha! I can't believe he wants to take me back the day of my important make-up exam, and he's the reason I have to take it in the first place!
The bell for the end of school rings and apparently I'm fuming in my seat long enough for Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi to notice and walk over to me.
"What's wrong Kagome? Is there trouble with your boyfriend?" Eri asks me.
Wow they sure don't miss a thing
"sort of.." I reply,
"It's nothing serious though, you don't have to worry about it." I say, waving it off.
Yuka shrugs but Eri and Ayumi immediately start to question me.
"Did he do something to you Kagome? I think we should confront him for you right after school starts!" Ayumi says and Eri agrees.
"I don't think you'll have to wait that long," Yuka says, pointing to the window, "look!"
I turn to the window and freeze as I see Inuyasha peering through the glass right at me.
I stand up in my seat making sure that no one else in the class has seen him and run over to him, mouthing the words, "meet me on the roof."
He seems to understand and nods, jumping away from the window.
I breathe a small sigh of relief,
at least no one else in my class found out about him.
I look at the school clock and rush out of the classroom towards the roof to meet inuyasha,
I hope he isn't too mad about this morning.
-Inuyasha POV-
I'm pissed at her about this morning.
I think she can tell as soon as she comes out.
"Inuyasha, I'm really sorry about this moring,"
she says,
"I promise I'll make it up to you."
I snort.
"Keh! Whatever, we just need to get back to the others now."
I guess I'll forgive her just this once.
She smiles at me brightly, her eyes sparkling.
"Thank you Inuyasha!" she says.
"What are you sayin' that for!? Look c'mon lets just get back." I say and let her climb on my back.
-skip to when they get back to her house-
I land in Kagome's front yard and let her off.
"I'll just be a few minutes." she says to me, " I just need to grab a couple things and then we can leave."
I roll my eyes
"Whatever."
I say to her,
"Just hurry back, we need to get goin'."
She nods and runs inside, then back out a minute later.
"Alright I'm ready!" she says
Finally, she takes forever.
As we are walking over to the shrine she takes something out of her pocket, it looks identical to the shikon jewel but it's blue instead of purple.
"Hey kagome,"
I say,
"What is that?"
She turns to look at me.
"Gramps gave it to me,"
She says, holding it out for me to see.
"It's some kind of good-luck charm."
I take it from her open hand and look at it closely before handing it back to her, saying,
"Keh! Yeah right! It's nothing but a fake."
She takes it back and says nothing, but continues to look at it.
We get to the well and I tell her to go first. She nods and starts to climb over the edge when the jewel in her palm starts to glow.
What the hell? What did she do to it?
"W-what's going on?" She says, staring at it.
"Kagome!" I say, "get away from it, it might be dangerous!"
She nods and throws it the closest place to her, down the well.
The glowing continues on for a few seconds and then stops.
Kagome and I peer down the well, but the jewel isn't there.
I have a bad feeling about this.
Kagome shakes her head and says, "It was probably just a prank by Gramps and Sota."
she perches on the edge of the well and jumps down.
Whew, that was weird.
I hear a shriek from inside the well and look down to see kagome sitting on the bottom, covered in dirt.
What the hell? What is she doing?
"Kagome!" I call down to her, "What are you doing sittin' around for? We got work to do so hurry it up!"
She looks up at me, her face filled with dread and says,
"I can't, the well's not working."
