Currently, everyone was in a bus heading towards Cerulean City's Gym, with everyone looking out the window to see it.
Kukui: There it is.
Mallow: So that's the Cerulean Gym...
Misty: Yep. That's it.
Kiawe: And we're going to have a Gym match there...
Ash: Now I'm fired up.
Once arriving to the gym, everyone exited the bus and made their way inside, and Ash looked around amazed, along with everyone else.
Ash: Wow! It looks so different from when I was last here.
Misty: That's because we remodeled it.
Sophocles: Huh, there's something there.
Everyone looked over and saw Psyduck in the field.
Psyduck: Psyduck?
Ash: Whoa! Psyduck!
Lana: It's so cute!
Misty: Psyduck! Thanks for watching the gym.
Psyduck: Psyduck.
Misty: Welcome to my gym. The Cerulean Gym.
Ash: Man, I haven't felt like this in awhile! I'm starting to get really anxious to battle!
Kukui: Let me once again introduce these two. This is Misty, Gym Leader of the Cerulean Gym and a Water Type Pokemon Trainer.
Misty: Nice to meet you.
Kukui: And this is Brock, former Gym Leader of the Pewter Gym and a Rock Type Trainer.
Brock: Nice to meet you.
Kukui: Engage in Pokemon battle against these two, and let the heat of the moment fire you up to Blast Burn levels!
Everyone: Yeah!
Kukui: Pokemon Trainers from other regions travel around visiting different Pokemon Gyms, where they battle Gym Leaders. If they win, those battles, they receive Gym Badges as proof of said victory.
Misty: The Cerulean Gym gives out the Cascade Badge.
Brock: And this is the Boulder Badge, the proof of victory at the Pewter Gym.
Lillie: They are gorgeous.
Lana: Yeah.
Kiawe: You traveled around collecting Kanto Badges once, I take it, Ash?
Ash: Now that you mention it, I got all 8 of them just fine!
Suddenly, both Misty and Brock made doubtful faces towards Ash.
Misty: What you got from us were pity badges, though.
Brock: I seem to recall that, too.
Niku: Pity badges?
Kiawe: Is that true, Ash?
Ash just nervously avoided the question, changing the subject.
Ash: Ahaha! Once you collect 8 badges, you'll be able to challenge the Pokemon League.
Mallow: Pokemon League?
Ash: It's a Pokemon battle tournament where a lot of strong trainers come together. Those in the Champion League gain the right to challenge the Elite Four.
Lana: The Elite Four?
Niku: The Elite Four are four of the strongest Pokemon Trainers from a region. The Island Kahuna are similar to them in a sense. You must defeat the Elite Four in a row in order to challenge the Champion. And if you defeat them, you become the new Champion.
Sophocles: All in a row?!
Mallow: That sounds difficult...
Kukui: Alright, lets get started. It's time for you to try mock battles against Misty and Brock. Now who wants to go first. Niku you'll face them later.
Niku: Undertstood.
Lana: I wanna battle Misty!
Mallow: Another vote for Misty here!
Misty: Alright, it's a deal!
Sophocles: I'd like to battle Brock.
Kiawe: Same here.
Ash: I want to battle both of you!
Niku: I second that.
After that, Lana and Mallow had their mock battle with Misty, with Lana surprisingly getting into it. As well as Sophocles and Lillie with Brock.
Then Kiawe and Brock's battle between Turtonator and Brock's Sudowoodo, Brock took the victory against Kiawe. With Ash and Misty, the battle was between Pikachu and Misty's Starmie, Pikachu took the win. Niku paid attention to each battle and noticed each of them carrying something that would help them in battles.
Once they were finish, Niku enters the field along with Brock.
Kukui: Next up, Niku vs Brock!
Brock: Alright, Niku. Show me what you're made of.
Niku: Be careful what you ask for Brock. I'm not like other trainers you faced before.
Brock: Really, well. Here is my partner!
Brock threw out his Pokeball and called out his Steelix.
Steelix: Steelix!
Kiawe: It's huge!
Ash: Oh it's Steelix!
Rotom Dex: "Steelix, the Iron Snake Pokemon. Steel/Ground type. It's body has been tempered in the high pressure and heat of the earth, and is stronger than any metal.
Kukui: Not bad, now let's see what Niku will send out.
Niku threw out his Dusk Ball and called out his choice.
Niku: Ceruledge, stand by for battle!
What came out is a humanoid Pokemon. It's body is primarily black, with blue colorations on it's head, arms and legs.
Ceruledge: Ceruledge!
Kiawe: Wow, what Pokemon is that?!
Lana: Another new Pokemon from Niku.
Sophocles: Him bringing out more Pokemon want's me to gather more information on his Pokemon.
Kukui: Calm down, watch the battle and we'll see what it can do.
Ash: Yeah, Niku, Brock! Give us a good match!
Misty: Let the battle begin!
Niku: Ceruledge start off with Sunny Day, then use Bitter Blade, now!
Ceruledge shouted as the sun came out, the it quickly rushed forward towards Steelix, using Bitter Blade.
Brock: Never heard of that move, Steelix, Iron Tail!
Steelix proceeded to use Iron Tail, clashing with Ceruledge, pushing each other back but Steelix felt the burn of the blade.
Brock: Grab Ceruldge with Bind!
Steelix was gonna use Bind but Ceruledge wasn't effected because it's part Ghost Type.
Brock: Not only a Fire Type but a Ghost Type?!
Niku: That's right. Now use Lava Plume!
Ceruledge: Ceru!
Ceruledge torches everything around it an inferno of scarlet flames. Steelix was hit and the damage was high.
Niku: Use Bitter Blade again!
Ceruledge: Edge!
Ceruledge zoomed to Steelix to use Bitter Blade.
Brock: Steelix, use Dig to get away!
Steelix proceeded to dig into the ground to avoid Bitter Blade.
Niku: Digging away won't help you. Solar Blade to the ground!
Ceruledge gathered light and with the Sunny Day it was charging quickly and suddenly a blade of light is formed. Ceruledge jumped up high and stabbed the ground with all it's might as it split the ground apart, forcing Steelix to resurface, as well as dealing damage to it, surprising everyone.
Ash: Awesome.
Kiawe: So much power...
Kukui: It teared ground apart...
Girls: Incredible...
Brock: You really are something Niku. Not only do you have a Pokemon I've never seen but it's power is something else. But as a former Gym Leader, I refuse to back down, even to you!
Brock proceeded to rip his shirt off, revealing a Key Stone on his neck, surprising everyone but Niku.
Ash: Whoa?!
Kiawe: What?!
Niku: So it was a Key Stone all along.
Brock: That's right! Go! Mega Evolve!
Brock proceeded to Mega Evolve his Steelix, surprising everyone.
Ash: Mega Steelix!
Mallow: Brock is able to Mega Evolve too?
Lana: That's so cool!
Brock: Now, come at me, Niku.
Niku: With pleasure. Ceruledge, charge toward Steelix!
Brock: Stone Edge!
As Ceruledge rushed towards Steelix, Steelix sent out a volley of stone pillars towards Ceruledge, only for it to jump out of the way.
Brock: Iron Tail!
Steelix attempted to hit Ceruledge with Iron Tail, only for Ceruledge to swirve around the tail, and landed behind it.
Niku: Slash it with your blades!
Ceruledge proceeded to hit Steelix's tail down to the ground with its blades, surprising Brock.
Brock: The blades were strong enough to just hit the tail, and no struggle?!
Niku: Now finish this with Flare Blitz!
Ceruledge proceeded to hit Steelix with Flare Blitz staggering it and dealing heavy damage and made a huge explosion. After the smoke faded Steelix was covered in flames cause of the burn effect. Steelix is screaming in pain and suddenly it fell down with swirls in its eyes.
Misty: Steelix is unable to battle. Which makes Niku the winner!
Lillie: Niku won!
Ash: I've seem Niku battle but this takes the cake.
Kiawe: And he didn't have to use a Z Move.
Kukui: His Pokemon are more stronger than I thought. He might be the level of a Champion...
Brock: Excellent work, Steelix. Take a good rest.
Brock proceeded to call back Steelix and looked at Niku.
Brock: Your power is the real deal. That Ceruledge is really powerful.
Niku: Thanks, Ceruledge is one of my stronger Fire Types.
Niku then looked over at Ceruledge as it kneeled down to its trainer.
Niku: You did well, Ceruledge.
Eevee: Vee.
Ceruledge: Ceru.
Niku recalls his Ceruledge as Misty has taken Brock's spot.
Misty: My turn!
Brock: Misty vs Niku. The rules are the same as the last battle. 1v1!
Misty: Are you ready, Niku?
Niku: Show me what you can do.
Misty: The worlds greatest beauty, the tomboyish-
Niku: ...-_-... Stop babbling, and let's get this battle going. Repeating the same thing is annoying.
Misty looked at Niku annoyed.
Misty: Hey! Don't interrupt me! Go, my beauty!
Throwing her Pokeball, Misty called her Gyarados, with it letting out a fearsome roar.
Niku: Gyarados, huh?
Niku brought out a Quick Ball and threw it.
Niku: Electrode, stand by for battle!
What came out is an Electrode but a different color.
Electrode: Electrode!
Kukui: That Electrode is different than the Kanto Electrode.
Sophocles: But I think there types are different.
Mallow: You could be right.
Brock: Gyarados vs Electrode! Begin!
Misty: An Electrode huh, well lets see what this one can do, Hydro Pump!
Gyarados proceeded to blast Electrode with Hydro Pump, but Niku countered it.
Niku: Use Thunderbolt!
Electrode rolled up and used Thunderbolt clashing with Gyarados's Hydro Pump, and they cancelled out.
Misty: Not bad, but it will take more than that to beat my Gyarados.
Niku: I'm no fool Misty. Use Rollout!
Using Rollout, Electrode made a swift rush to Gyarados, hitting it in the face.
Niku: Follow it up with Energy Ball!
Misty: Rain Dance!
Using Rain Dance, Gyarados proceeded to make it rain inside the Gym.
Kukui: Oh?
Sophocles: It's raining.
Mallow: But how? We're inside the Gym!
Lana: It feels great!
Niku: Don't stop Electrode, keep moving!
Electrode proceeded to fire off it's Energy Ball, only for Misty to counter.
Misty: Gyarados, Hurricane!
Gyarados used Hurricane, blowing Electrode back, creating a powerful gust of wind.
Kiawe: Such power!
Ash: Wow, you taught Gyarados Hurricane?
Misty: Well, Niku? What do you think about this?
Niku: Not bad at all. But that wont stop us.
Misty: Well, prepare to be even more amazed.
Misty brushed her hair back to reveal a Key Stone, surprising everyone but Niku.
Ash: No way!
Niku: ...-_-... You too, huh.
Misty: Strongly, valiantly, beautifully! My sweet blue heart! Mega Evolve!
Using Mega Evolution, Misty proceeded to evolve her Gyarados into Mega Gyarados, shocking everyone, as Niku smirked Niku: Alright, then. This is gonna be so much fun.
Misty: Oh really, well let's start with this, Hydro Pump!
Using Hydro Pump, Gyarados blasted Electrode into the water, with it chasing after it. Electrode leaped out of the water, rolling along the rock structure, with Gyarados still on it's tail.
Niku: Supercell Slam, go!
Sophocles: There's no way Electrode cam attack in that position.
Niku: Electrode, leap onto Gyarados's back and use Supercell Slam.
Following Niku's order, Electrode leaped on Gyarados, rolling on it's back, and hitting it in the face with Supercell Slam, making it stager again.
Ash: They got it!
Misty: Not giving an inch. You're a great opponent Niku.
Niku saw Gyarados dive underwater, making him narrow his eyes.
Niku: Electrode, keep an eye out. It's not over yet.
Misty: Hurricane!
From beneath the water, Gyarados used Hurricane, trapping Electrode inside, surprising everyone.
Ash: Whoa!
Misty: The combo of Rain Dance and Hurricane. I thought of this strategy for a while, and not one challenger has broken through it.
Niku just looked at the Hurricane and smirked.
Niku: Is that right? It maybe seem like an undefeatable tactic, but everything has it's weakness.
Misty: Weakness?
Niku: Electrode, listen up!
Electrode: Elect, Electrode!
Niku: Get ready, because were climbing up this Hurricane.
Hearing this, everyone looked at Niku shocked, as Brock was in question.
Brock: What's he up to?
Niku: Use Electro Ball rapid fire into the Hurricane, and use Rollout to roll out upwards off of them!
Doing as Niku said, Electrode shot off multipe Electro Balls into the Hurricane, making them swirl around, and as they did, Electrode used Rollout to roll it's way out, surprising everyone.
Everyone: It's out!
Landing on a beam on the ceiling, Niku crossed his arms, charging up a Z Move.
Niku: Let's finish this, Electrode!
Electrode: Electrode!
Electrode jumped high in the air as a huge boulder is created.
Niku: Wreck! Continental Crush!
Electrode proceeded to hit Gyarados with the strong boulder, it crashed onto it as it crumbled and drowned it down to the bottom, after that is rose up with swirls in its eyes.
Brock: Gyarados is unable to battle! Electrode wins!
Niku: Electrode, you did well. Your speed is great as always.
Electrode: Electrode!
Niku returned Electrode as his Eevee jumped on his shoulder and nuzzled him.
Misty just sighed, calling back Gyarados.
Misty: Gyarados... You did a great job.
Misty then looked over at Niku.
Misty: You really impressed me with that Electrode. Not only with using Electric Type moves but Grass Type moves. You really are mysterious trainer Niku.
Niku: You can say that, there are more mysteries of the Pokemon World that needs to be discovered. What you witnessed is one of them.
Brock: Speaking of how did you get them?
Niku: Well Brock, the one you battled with is from Paldea, the region I'm from?
Brock: Paldea?
Niku: Yep, and Misty the Electrode is actually an extinct version of itself. How I found it, is best for you to come to my region to find out.
Kukui: Well that explains everything.
Kukui and everyone else came down to Niku and discussed what he did and now they know who he really is.
Timeskip
It's the next day and currently everyone is at the airport, getting ready to head back to Alola. Both Misty and Brock gave the girls and boys replicas of the Cascade and Boulder Badges.
Misty: Here.They're just replicas, but please take them as a reminder of today.
Lana: Hanada is a shade of aqua... a mysterious blue aura surrounds it.
Lillie: It truly is exquisite.
Sophocles: It's so well made you'd never think it was a replica.
Kiawe: The next time we battle, I'll bet the real deal.
Brock: Whenever your ready!
Lana: Misty, can I come visit you again?
Misty: Of course! And Niku when we meet again can we battle again?
Brock: Same for me!
Niku: Don't worry, we will, and come visit Paldea sometime as well.
Brock/Misty: Sure!
As Kukui looked at the kids, Kukui looked back to the Professor and Principal Oak.
Kukui: This has given me the confidence I needed. I'm going to make the Pokemon League part of Alola culture as well.
Professor Oak: Oh? Good luck!
Principal Oak: You'll have to come up with badges too, naturallYorterrie.
After that everybody left and are heading back home. Later a new adventure begins.
