After Niku caught Shelgon and got a Z Crystal, he has been spending many days and nights perfecting his Pokemon's moves and made plans for future battles. Right now, today is the day he is gonna head over to Akala Island. Professor Kukui sent note to Niku that his class is heading over there as well and invited him as well. He agreed to join and so he decided to make a few trades and bring a few items and is ready for the next adventure. Niku has made it to the school and talked with everybody about what to expect and what could be there.
Niku: Glad were finally going to Akala Island right, Eevee?
Eevee: Eevee!
Suddenly, Niku heard something running towards them, and quickly grabbed Ash, jumping back to avoid being hit by a rampaging Tauros.
Ash: Ah, thanks...!
Niku: Sure thing.
The Tauros that almost tackled them, it stopped in it's tracks by Kiawe's Charizard. The Tauros's trainer and Kiawe ran up to them.
Trainer: Calm down, Tauros!
Kiawe: Charizard, keep restraining it like that.
Charizard: Char!
Then the rest of the class ran outside as well.
Niku: Wonder what caused Tauros to act like this?
Kiawe: Charizard startled Tauros when it landed.
Lana: That stirred it into a rage.
Then suddenly, a Midday Lycanroc lands between Charizard and Tauros, seperating them.
Ash: Whoa... It's a Lycanroc!
Rotom Dex: A Midday Form one.
As the Tauros was getting ready to charge, everyone hears a voice.
???: Alola!
Everyone: Huh?
???: Don't be so angry! There, there...
The woman walks up to the Tauros and quickly calms it down.
???: Good Pokemon!
Everyone but Niku was surprised to see this.
Everyone but Niku: What?!
???: There... There, there...
Ash: Amazing...
Pikachu: Pika!
Mallow: So cool!
Sophocles: I wonder who she is.
Lana: It doesn't seem like someone who works here but...
The woman walks up to Charizard and starts petting it.
???: And you did a good job restraining it, Charizard. You have the kind of commanding presence I expected.
Kiawe then walks up to the woman.
Kiawe: Olivia!
Olivia, Alola, Kiawe!
The woman named Olivia looks at Kiawe surprised as she proceeded to hug him.
Olivia: It hasn't been long since I last saw you, but you've grown strong! And real handsom!
Ash: Kiawe, you know her?
Kiawe: Yeah.
Kiawe: This is Akala Island's Kahuna, Olivia.
Ash looked at Olivia surprised, but Niku grinned knowing it is her.
Ash: What?!
Niku: I knew it. I remember hearing about the Akala Island kahuna having the ability to communicate with Pokemon.
After meeting Olivia, everyone went inside the school, as Kukui began giving a run down of everything they'll be doing.
Kukui: So today, this class will head to Akala Island along with Niku here, for extracirricular lessons there, but...
Ash: Yeah, I'm up for the Grand Trial!
Niku: ...-_-... Idiot...
Kukui: Ash, you're too excitable.
Ash: You know how it is.
Olivia steps in and grabs everyone's attention.
Olivia: Alola! I'm Olivia, Akala Island's Kahuna. I'll be in charge of these extracirricular lessons. Nice to meet you. Now first, as of a way of greeting...
Niku saw how Olivia is walking and can see her about to make a mistep.
Niku: Uh... You better watch out for...
Olivia went to step forward, but suddenly stumbled on her heels, falling down.
Niku: ...-_-... Nevermind...
Eevee: ...-_-... Vee....
Everyone: ...-_-...
Olivia stands back up and laughs it off.
Olivia: Don't worry about me... Here!
Olivia then handed out different types of gems and stone accessories to everyone, the girls were in awe, while the boys were indifferent about them.
Olivia: Well, I guess that accessories... aren't the best gifts for boys...
Niku: No, of course not. They're actually very decorative.
Olivia: Really?
Niku: They look hand made to me.
Olivia: Good eye. You see... Look!
Olivia shows off her Z- Ring.
Olivia: I also run a shop where I sell handmade items.
Ash: A Z- Ring!
Niku: And the Rockium Z Crystal.
Olivia: Are you two doing the Island Challenge?
Ash: Yeah! We'd like to take your Grand Trial, too!
Olivia: I see. I suppose we'll let these extracurricular lessons determine if you will.
Ash: Alright, now I'm getting fired up!
Olivia: Well, take your Pokemon with you and grab your luggage. We're off to Akala Island! Let's-
As Olivia went to turn, she bumped into Principal Oak.
Olivia: Alola, Principal! Long time no see!
Principal Oak: I came here to suggest that since you came all the way out here, you really should take a look at the student's Pokemon before your lessoms begiNutery.
Olivia: "BegiNutery"? Oh my, that's hilarious.
As Olivia started laughing at the joke, everyone just looked at her surprised that she found it funny.
Everyone: ...-_-...
Later
At the main building's entrance, Olivia was being introduced to everyone's Pokemon.
Olivia: Wow! Wow, wow, amazing! They all look so happy! They get showered with love, dont they?
After meeting everyone's Pokemon, Olivia started by giving everyone a summary of the islands history. Even though Niku isn't a student, he still want's to know about the island.
Olivia: Akala Island is an island nurtured by the sacred flames of Wela Volcano, an island that aroueses people's gratitude amd fear alike. Now, do you know which Pokemon is said to be the Guardian Deity of Akala Island?
Niku: Tapu Lele.
Olivia: Oh, very good. You did know.
Olivia: Tapu Lele, the Guardian Deity of Akala Island, occasionally scatters glowing scales. It's said that touching these scales restores good health on the spot.
Niku: So that's how Tapu Lele restored the health on the Pokemon from before.
Olivia: Before?
Niku: Yeah, on Melemele, I went over to an island that was is a peaceful place. Until suddenly a Pokemon went around taking food and hurting the creatures there to. I faced it in battle and won and thats when Tapu Lele showed up to heal the injured Pokemon.
Olivia: Whoa. I didn't know that.
Niku: Yeah. I don't know why Tapu Lele appeared but it's a a good thing it did.
Olivia: I have a theory. Tapu Lele is the God of Life. And that light supplies the power of life. Which also heals wounds.
Niku: It's a really interesting theory. Maybe, Tapu Lele will appear again.
Olivia: I'm sure it will. You are lucky to encounter it young man. Alright, I'm done talking. Now you can take your Pokemon with you and grab your luggage and let's go.
Later
At the port, everyone looks at the boat they'll be using to go to Akala.
Olivia: Get on, everyone!
Olivia attempted to jump onto the boat, but once again tripped over her heels and fell.
Everyone: ...-_-...
Olivia: I'm fine, I'm fine.
Niku: ...-_-... Like that will be last time that will happen.
Olivia starts laughing.
Lana: What an intense woman. She goes from talking seriously, to laughing, to falling down...
Mallow: Yeah. She's so cool.
Sophocles: Seriously?
The class waves with Niku at the Principal as they leave for Akala.
Ash: See you!
Principal Oak: Take care and have a safe trip bacKoiking!
Later
On the way to Akala, everyone was enjoying the breeze as well as the view of the sea.
Ash: Whoa! This feels great!
Pikachu: Pika!
Kiawe: Getting to Akala from the sea isn't to shabby, huh, Charizard?
Charizard: Char.
Sophocles was searching on his phone and found something.
Sophocles: Oh. Kiawe's in this picture!
Mallow/Ash: Huh?
Niku: Hmm?
They look at the photo of Kiawe and what seemed like his family.
Niku: Nice family.
Sophocles: This is a tourist guide to Akala Island. There's a presentation to Kiawe's place in it.
Sophocles scrolls the, revealing a photo of Kiawe making an awkward face.
Mallow: What's up with your face? You're super nervous.
Niku: ...-_-... An awkward smile you have.
Kiawe: What do you care?
Rockruff was taking a nap alongside Lycanroc.
Lillie: It is quite relaxed.
Lana: Yeah. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of Water Pokemon they have on Akala Island.
Mallow: The food's gonna be exciting, too! I'm sure they have tons of unusual ingrediants.
Then from afar, Lana briefly spotted a serpent-looking Pokemon.
Lana: Oh. Something leaped out of the sea.
Lillie/Mallow: What?
Ash: Where? Where? I wanna see!
Sophocles: Hm... There's nothing here, but...
Rotom Dex: I'm not able to pick anything up, either.
Niku walked to the side of the boat so no one notices.
Niku: Ok, were clear. Basculegion, come out.
Niku sent out his Basculegion as it swam in the water following the boat. Niku wanted Basculegion to explore while he is on the island and protect the waters. He made sure to tell it before leaving the island.
The boat is turning and the class begins observing the many different kinds of Water Pokemon the sea had to offer.
Lana: Finneon... Tentacool... Lumineon... Luvdisc... Corsola... Shellder... Oh, and a Lugia, too.
Kiawe/Sophocles/Ash: What?!
Ash: Where? Where's the Lugia?
Mallow: Come on, the boys actually take you at your word. Of course there's no Lugia there!
Lana: There wasn't.
The three of them looked down dissapointed.
Popplio: Popplio!
Olivia then walks up to Lana.
Olivia: Water Types. You're an expert.
Lana: Hm? I love them.
Niku: No doubt about that.
Olivia: Wonder if there's anyone else?
Unsurprisingly enough, she trips and falls into the water.
Lana: Oh, no!
Ash: Olivia!
Olivia resurfaces with a carefree attitude.
Olivia: This is amazing! You guys, come on in. The waters fine.
Ash: Pikachu, why don't we go?
Pikachu: Pika!
Ash and Pikachu jump off the boat and join Olivia. The three of them swim across the water.
Niku: Whoa. They really did it.
Kiawe and Kukui then notice the three were swimming to a certain direction.
Kiawe: What are they up to now?
Kukui: I'd like to find out. Let's follow them.
Kukui returns to his position and turns the boar to the direction Ash and Olivia were heading. Minutes later, Rotom rejoins the group.
Rotom Dex: Everyone!
Everyone: Huh?
Rotm Dex: There's a Wailmer stuck between the rocks!
Mallow: Huh?
Kukui: Were on our way.
Everyone then regroups with Ash and Olivia, who were trying to help the stuck Wailmer.
Kiawe: Olivia! Rotom told us everything. We'll help you out as well!
Niku: Wait, there's something surrounding Wailmer. Like a Psychic attack.
Olivia: Niku's right! A Bruxish is causing this!
Niku: Of course.
Lana: A Bruxish?
Olivia: This area might be Bruxish's territory! Getting bathed in their Psychic power isn't good. Ash, Pikachu, go back to the boat right now!
Rotom Dex: "Bruxish. The Gnash Teeth Pokemon. Water/Psychic type. When it unleashes its psychic power from the protuberance on its head, a grating sound echoes through the area."
They look back at the Wailmer.
Olivia: It'll drown unless we do something. Lycanroc, help me.
Lana: Wait, what's that?
Everyone looked to see something swimming in water rapidly heading towards Bruxish.
Mallow: Something's swimmimg towards the Bruxish!
Ash: But what?
When the mystery Pokemon went by Bruxish it leaped out of the water and used Screech. Everyone covered their ears as the protuberance on it's head starts blinking.
Rotom Dex: Warning! Warning! That's the sign it's invoking its psychic power!
Niku: (Alright, Basculegion, show it what you can do).
The hidden Pokemon rises out using Aqua Jet for cover and uses Shadow Ball. The ball hits Bruxish, breaking it's concentration. Angry, Bruxish jumps and uses Psywave.
Niku: (Good thing Basculegion learned Shadow Ball).
The hidden creature dodges the attack hides away in a shadow portal and dissapeared.
Ash: It's dissapeared?!
Olivia: Where did it go?!
Kukui: That was Phantom Force! Just what is that Pokemom?!
Bruxish looked around and suddenly under water the creature came out in a purple blur and hit's Bruxish psychically. It landed in the water and used Aqua Jet and a light that looks like Crunch came down and defeated it.
Bruxish looked afraid and skeddadled in fear. The hidden Pokemon dove back in the water and dissapeared to the ocean.
Kiawe: That Pokemon helped to defeat Bruxish.
Lana: I've never heard or seen a Water Pokemon that can use moves like that.
Sophocles: It came at the right time to help us.
Olivia: Right. Now all that's left is to save Wailmer!
Niku: We've got to do something about the psychic energy first.
Lillie: I have some medicine.
Lillie gives the medicine to Olivia and swims towards Wailmer and instructs it what to do.
Olivia: Don't worry. Open up.
Wailmer: Wail...
Wailmer opens its mouth as Olivia tosses a pill in it, removing the psychic energy around it.
Rotom Dex: The psychic energy is vanishing.
Niku: Now for the finishing touch!
Olivia: Lycanroc, Accelerock!
Lycanroc uses Accelerock to break the cliff amd free Wailmer before safely returning to the boat.
Lana: Amazing!
Rotom Dex: Despite being a Rock type, the water didn't even fazed it.
Olivia: Thank goodness... Good job, Lycanroc!
Lycanroc: Canroc!
Olivia: I hope that Pokemon on the water will show again someday. I would like to thank it.
Niku looked towards the ocean and smirked.
Niku:( Thank you Basculegion).
The class then waves Wailer goodbye.
Pikachu: Pika!
Eevee: Eievuvui!
Ash: Be careful the next time you meet a Bruxish, okay?
Wailmer: Wail!
Short Timeskip
After their detour, the class finally arrived at Akala Island, where they met Nurse Joy at the Pokemon Center.
Olivia: Alola!
Nurse Joy: Come on, please get in touch with me if you're going to be late.
Olivia: Sorry for making you worry.
Ash: Huh? When did you get here, Nurse Joy?
Nurse Joy: You're mistaking me for the Melemele Joy, then? She's my older sister.
Ash: O-Older sister?
Rotom Dex: Are you twins? You are more than 99% alike!
Niku: (....-_-... Because they all look almost alike).
Kukui: Nurse Joy. Thank you for taking care of these seven Pokemon School students and my friend here.
Everyone: Thank you in advance!
Nurse Joy: My pleasure! Please enjoy your extracurricular lessons on Akala Island.
Kukui: Alright, go put your luggage in your rooms, and then we'll grab something to eat!
Ash: Alright!
Niku: Time for a good meal.
