Kai still wasn't doing well emotionally or mentally but he was doing better than what he had previously been. It had been a couple days since the incident. Caroline had been sending Angelica supportive texts but couldn't drop by due to her mother's illness getting worse. Angelica understood and was also sending supportive texts, Caroline's way
"You're just a cute little kitty.. aren't you? You're so cute.. I could just pet you all day, huh?" Kai cooed to the cat. Angelica turned her body so she could stare at Kai. In the last couple of days Angelica had finally transfered ownership of the house to Kai, incase Kol ever decided to drop an unwanted visit. Angelica bit her lip as she stared at Kai. He was just so pretty. Kai noticed her staring and turned to look at her
"You have such pretty eyes" He told her which made her smile shyly. Nugget hopped off of Kai and walked somewhere else
"She gets so jealous anytime I give you any attention" Kai said dramatically which made Angelica laugh
"She wants to be the only woman in your life" Angelica teased as Kai moved over closer to her
"She'll just have to get over the fact that you're the only woman in my life" Kai said before sending Angelica a wink. She leaned over and gave him a quick kiss which annoyed Kai. As she went to move away, Kai grabbed her by the waist and made her straddle him. Angelica giggled as she felt his hands begin to tickle her waist. She began wiggling around trying to escape his hands only for Kai to freeze as he looked away. She was confused until she felt something hard hit her ass
"Oh" She said. Kai bit his lip before looking back at Angelica. Angelica laughed before she leaned down and pressed a kiss against his lips. Kai's hands slithered to Angelica's ass, giving it a nice squeeze. Angelica giggled before Kai stuck his tongue in her mouth. Angelica's hands went towards Kai's hair, running her fingers through it
Kai flipped them over so he was on top. He smirked down at her before he began leaving kisses on her jaw. His hands moved up her waist and onto her breasts, giving them a squeeze. Angelica let out a pleasurable sigh which made Kai go crazy. There was knock at the door but the engaged couple ignored it. Kai's lips went down Angelica's neck, giving it attention. Angelica grinded against Kai's hips before letting out a small moan
"Ugh! Don't tell me you guys are fucking! I can hear you! Also why can't I enter the house?!" A familiar blonde's voice rang out. Angelica laughed before she stopped Kai. He raised an eyebrow, confused
"We have guests who can hear us" Angelixa told him with a smile. Kai frowned before turning towards the bedroom door
"Fuck off! You're cockblocking me!" Kai yelled out which made Angelica laugh even harder
"He means business" Another voice rang out. It belonged to Stefan. Angelica lightly pushed Kai off of her which made Kai groan in annoyance. Angelica got out of the bed and walked to the front door. She opened it to see Caroline, Stefan, Elena and Enzo. They were all carrying bags of food
"Surprise!" Caroline cheered
"What's this?" Angelica asked
"Well, our last lunch was a disaster. So I made sure to invite only the sane people.. Can we come in?" Caroline asked
"Kai!" Angelica yelled back into the house. Kai came into view, shirtless which earned a whistle from Caroline. Stefan glared at her for that which made her laugh. Kai looked confused as the group was standing on their porch
"What are you guys doing here?" Kai asked
"To eat" Elena said with a smile
"Oh" Kai said. The four of them stood awkwardly outside of the house. Angelica stared at Kai waiting for him to invite them in but Kai was just standing there, not doing anything
"You have to invite them in" Angelica explained. Kai's eyes widened
"Oh! I was wondering why they were just standing there. Yeah, come in all of you" Kai said. The group of vampires entered the house and immediately went to the dining room. They set down the bags of take out. Caroline using her vamp speed set the table and placed food where it needed to go. Nugget strolled in and began rubbing her head against Enzo's leg
"You have a cat?" Enzo asked
"Yes, we do. Isn't she the cutest?" Angelica asked with a smile before she sat down at the table. Kai sat next to her. Everyone else took their seats as well
"She is quite adorable" Enzo said still staring at the cat. Kai was still confused on why they were here
"So, what made you decide to come over?" Kai asked, knowing that majority of their little group hated his guts
"Well, we heard what happened. We wanted to show our support" Elena said with a shy smile
"I'm sorry you he- you told them?!" Kai asked, genuinely upset at Angelica. Her eyes widened as she stared at him
"I didn't say anything to anyone other than Caroline because Carol- Caroline!" Angelica shouted as she stared at the blonde. Caroline's face morphed into one of 'What did I do?!'
"I'm sorry, it was traumatic for me too! I went home and cried and Stefan showed up and was comforting me and so I ended up telling him what happened. But I swear I only told him!" Caroline defended. Kai was extremely uncomfortable right now. He pinched the bridge of his nose as he exhaled
"I may have told Elena.. I mean, it just slipped" Stefan said
"I didn't tell anyone! So I don't know how Enzo found out" Elena admitted
"Oh, Damon heard you on the phone with Stefan. He texted me" Enzo admitted
"Wow.. I don't know what to say.. So does everyone know now?! You all just gossiping about how I tried kill myself.. that's nice.. wow" Kai said utterly unsure on how to react
"Don't say it like that! We weren't gossiping. But would you like me to lie to you about everyone knowing? Because I can" Caroline said. Kai shook his head annoyed
"Look, when Damon finds out, everyone finds out. He just can't shut his little mouth! Like, when he found out I slept with Klaus, he told everyone and then shamed me for it!" Caroline ranted. Angelica nodded
"Oh, can't forget the time I made a comment about how Mason Lockwood was cute.. he told everyone I slept with the guy" Angelica said rolling her eyes
"I know he's my boyfriend but you guys are so right" Elena said. Kai was awkwardly messing with his food which Angelica picked up on. She put a hand on his knee, trying to comfort him. Kai seemed to relax at her touch and began to eat
"But, let's gossip for real because bitch I have steaming hot tea!" Caroline exclaimed
"Yes queen, tell us" Enzo said dramatically which made Angelica laugh. Caroline clapped eagerly
"Okay, so like remember when Liv showed up and ruined my lunch when she decided to try and kill Kai?" Caroline asked. Kai side eyed her
"I think we all remember considering we were there" Stefan pointed out
"Okay, well anyways.. it turns out that Tyler broke up with Liv after.. yeah so they're no longer together. Tyler's become a little alcoholic since then. Oh, and Bonnie and Jeremy broke up, too" Caroline said. Elena's eyebrows furrowed
"What?!" She asked
"Yeah, Jeremy said he couldn't do it anymore. Bonnie wasn't giving him enough energy.. but I mean, we all knew that. They just didn't feel as strongly about each other as they used to" Caroline said as she munched on a French fry
"You think Bonnie will let me take her to dinner?" Enzo asked. Everyone side-eyed him
"What? She's a pretty gal" Enzo defended
"A pretty gal who was too busy trying to kill Angie while my mom was dying!" Caroline huffed out still annoyed by it
"How did you find out about their breakup before I did?!" Elena asked confused
"Oh, well they were at the Grill. Matt had overheard them, so he texted me. I was like 'oop okay'" Caroline said
"I can't believe she didn't tell me" Elena said offended
"Well, Bonnie is mad at us all" Stefan pointed out
"What the hell did you guys do?" Kai asked confused
"We decided to give you a second chance. Bonnie is really adamant on hating you. I really don't get it. You're not all that bad. Like Stefan and Damon have literally done worse than you. Like their kill count is like 10 times higher than yours" Caroline said
"Thanks for making me remember that.." Stefan said as he shifted in his seat uncomfortably
"So.. what I'm getting is that if I ask Bonnie to dinner she's gonna say no?" Enzo asked
"She's not gonna say yes!" The entire table replied. Enzo put his hands up defensively
"Okay, damn.. fuck my bad" Enzo groaned out
"So, Angel told me you two were screwing now" Kai said to Caroline and Stefan. Stefan dropped his fork as Caroline's face went red
"Wait, what?!" Enzo and Elena asked
"Angie!" Caroline said embarrassed
"Kai!" Angelica said as she turned to him. He chuckled
"Consider that payback" He said before sticking out his tongue playfully
"Okay, valid.. very valid" Caroline replied
"You guys are.. oh my God" Elena said giggling
"Stop, don't make it a big deal" Stefan said which Caroline took offense to
"I think it's a very big deal. Unless you're thinking I'm just some booty call" Caroline said as she crossed her arms
"I do not see you as a booty call. I like you alot of Care" Stefan replied
"Kiss, kiss, kiss" Angelica and Elena egged on which made the two vampires embarrassed
"Do you guys not know how to? Do I need to show you an example?" Kai teased before he grabbed Angelica's jaw and forced her to look at him. She gave him a confused look before his lips pressed against hers which earned some 'oohs'. Angelica just stared at Kai as he pulled away, sending her a wink
"You guys are so cute" Elena said
"Rubbing it in my face that I'm single.. I hate you all" Enzo said
"Me and you could've been a thing.. you fumbled" Caroline said
"Bitch when?! You were too busy making googly eyes at Stefan. 'Oh my God, he's so hot. I literally need him to dick me do-'" Enzo was cut off as a plate of food was thrown at his face. Enzo's jaw dropped
"I told you not to tell anyone!" Caroline whined. Stefan's jaw dropped
"I'm sorry, what?!" Stefan yelled
"Oh my God, this is so embarrassing" Caroline cried into her hands. Her face bright red
"See you give off innocent vibes, but I just know you're kinky as fuck" Kai stated. Everyone stared at him
"You're literally the last person who can talk about being kinky" Elena said
"No, because I've seen what she does to you.. like.. I deadass think sometimes you're being held hostage by her" Stefan said
"Those are my favorite roleplay-" A hand went over Kai's mouth as Angelica felt extremely embarrassed
"Stop!" She whined out
"If anyone wants a threesome I'm totally ava-" Enzo was cut off
"Shut the fuck up" Everyone told him
"This is bullshit. Literal bullshit. I hate you all" Enzo said
"Boo-hoo. Cry me a river" Kai said

Angelica and Kai were currently cuddling on the couch watching Supernatural. Nugget was scratching her scratching post. Kai's faced morphed into one of frustration as he tried to pay attention to the show but could not. He couldn't get over how everyone had known what happened. It wasn't their business. They talked about it as if it was just something that happened. Kai wasn't comfortable with all of these strangers knowing what he had done while he was most vulnerable. He genuinely wanted to cry, he was so upset
"Kai? What's wrong?" Angelica asked, pulling him out of his thoughts. Kai shook his head
"It's nothing" He replied quickly. Angelica raised an eyebrow as she knew he was lying
"You can't lie to me about how you're feeling. I need to know, please" Angelica said, worried that he would do something drastic like last time. Kai looked at her before he bit his lip nervously. He went to open his mouth to tell her but he couldn't find the words. It was hard to just admit how he was feeling. It was never really something he had ever done. However he could see that her mind was replaying what had took place in the bathroom. She was worried he'd do it again
"I.." Kai couldn't bring himself to say the words. It was so frustrating. It shouldn't be so hard to just explain how he felt. Why couldn't he do it? Why was he struggling? Now he couldn't even speak properly. Angelica looked at him and just stared, she didn't rush him or get upset. She just waited patiently and that gave him some comfort. It was funny. Their positions were now switched to that of when they were kids when Kai would wait for Angelica to say what she wanted to say
"I'm.. not okay" Kai said. Angelica nodded as she intertwined their hands
"It's okay to not be okay" She told him. Kai took a deep breath before he let the words fall out
"Your friends.. they made me very uncomfortable today.." Kai admitted. He was worried she'd be upset. They were her friends
"I know they did. I'm sorry. If I had known.. It should've been between us. What happened is no one else's business and I'm upset with Caroline about it. I will be having a talk with her later, don't you worry" Angelica said
"I don't need anyone's pity. I saw the way they looked at me. I hated it. I hated it! I don't want to be looked at that way" Kai told her. Angelica nodded her head in understanding
"I know.. I'm sorry that happened-" Angelica was cut off by her phone going off. She grabbed it and saw that it was Caroline. Rage bubbled inside as she answered the phone
"Why the fu-" Angelica was cut off
"My mom! My mom!" Caroline cried. Angelica's face morphed into one of confusion
"She's dead! She's fucking dead! What do I do?!" Caroline cried out. Angelica put a hand over her mouth as Kai stared at her in confusion
"Oh my God" Angelica said
"I didn't get to say goodbye! I-I-I need you! Please!" Caroline cried out as tears streamed down Angelica's face
"I'll be there shortly" Angelica breathed out before hanging up. She slowly set the phone down
"What happened?!" Kai asked
"Liz is dead.." Angelica said
"Oh.. shit" Kai said before he wrapped his arms around Angelica. Angelica had grown fond of the older Forbes considering she was one of Damon's close friends and the mother of her best friend. Liz would be missed dearly
