They stood there, staring at the closed door, but still unaware the extent of her injuries or if her condition was serious. All they could do was wait; Just then Suga rushed to join the others and even Jimin managed to come,
Suga: (concerned) "What's happening here? Where is Y/n?"
Jin: (trying to control his tears) "Suga, it's not fine here... She's..."
Jimin: (Panic) "Hyung please tell us, don't scare us like this."
Jin: (tears in his eyes) "They took her inside, Taehyung and Jungkook are treating her."
Suga: (tears welling up in his eyes) "How did this happen?"
Jay: (voice trembling) "I don't know, Suga Hyung. I was going to call Y/n from the classroom to see our match. Just then, I heard screaming, and when I went near the stairs to check, it was none other than Y/n. She was lying on the ground... in... in... blood."
Everyone totally forgot about Jay in this whole situation he was standing in the corner the whole time, as Jay spoke everyone went towards him.
Namjoon: (gripping Jay's shoulder) "How did she collapsed? Did you see anyone else around?"
Jay nodded, tears welling up in his eyes.
Jay: (voice choked with emotion) "No, Namjoon Hyung. I... I don't know what happened. One moment, she was fine, and the next... she was lying there, unconscious."
Suga: (voice shaking) (to Jin) "How... how serious is it?"
Jin's voice choked with emotion, he could only shake his head, unable to find the right words to describe Y/n's condition.
Jin: (tears falling) "I... I don't know, Suga. They haven't told us much yet. But... seeing her like that... it was... it was awful."
As Suga sat down, his emotions overwhelmed him, and tears streamed down his face.
Suga: (voice breaking) "We always tell her not to run on stairs, but she never listens to us."
J-Hope: (rubbing his back) "Hyung, don't think of that for now. We need to stay strong for Princess."
Suga nodded with heart heavy, While Jay was sitting alone on another bench.
Meanwhile at the basketball court,
The tension was palpable as the host announced, "The last goal is needed to win. It's a tie. Let's see who will win the trophy this year."
The score was tied, and both teams were giving it their all to win the championship trophy. The audience was on the edge of their seats and holding their breaths with each play.
Jeyhun dribbled towards the opposing team's basket, with Seohyun closely behind. However, an opposing player managed to steal the ball from them, much to the disappointment of the audience, who had lost hope as it seemed to be the winning shot for the opponents.
The player dribbled towards the basket, preparing to take the shot. As the ball was mid-air, about to reach the basket, Jake sprang into action. He pushed the ball to the other side, stealing it back from the opponent, and began dribbling it towards the opposite end of the court.
The audience started cheering, their hope reignited, the spectators clapped and cheered loudly, their excitement palpable in the air. The tension in the environment shifted, now filled with anticipation, and renewed energy.
The defenders tried to block his path but Jake dodged past one defender and then another, his eyes were locked on the hoop. With each dribble, the anticipation grew. The crowd erupted into a mix of cheers and gasps as Jake made his way towards the basket.
The other team's players were not far behind, closing in on Jake as he neared the basket. With a swift movement, Jake jumped up, aiming for the hoop. The ball left his hands, soaring through the air in a perfect arc towards the basket.
The crowd held its breath as they watched the ball make its way towards the hoop. It seemed like time had slowed down as everyone waited for the outcome. And then, with a satisfying swish, the ball went through the net, scoring the winning point.
The buzzer sounded, signalling the end of the game. The crowd erupted into cheers and applauds. Jake's team had won the championship, and he was lifted up on the shoulders of his teammates, a victorious smile on their face. It was a moment of triumph and joy, a memory that would be cherished forever.
Jake's Pov
My teammates lifted me on their shoulders and the crowd erupted in cheers, But I was not as happy as I had felt just the day before. My mind was elsewhere, consumed by thoughts of Y/n lying in the hospital, fighting for her life.
After being lowered to the ground, I accepted the championship trophy with a smile, but it was a hollow gesture.
Quickly passing it to my teammates, I excused myself, my sole focus on finding Yunjin and Rose. Ignoring the congratulatory pats on the back and the cheers of the crowd, I scanned the area, searching for any sign of them. But they were nowhere to found "Have they left without me?" I thought to myself.
But suddenly I Spot them near the edge of the court, I pushed my way through the celebrating crowd, my heart was pounding in my chest.
End of Pov.
Jake ran through the way and when he finally reached them, he was out of breath.
Jake: (breathing heavily) "Thank you for motivating me and thank you for not leaving me here alone"
Jake was looking down to hide his tears. He wiped away his tears, trying to compose himself but it kept coming out continuously.
Jake: (continued) (sniffling) "I couldn't have done it without you. I was trying to focus on the game, but all I could think about was Y/n. I am worried something might happen to her."
Rose hugged him and started consoling him.
Rose: (rubbing his back) "I'm so proud of you, Jake. You played amazingly out there and nothing is going to happen to Y/n, she will be safe and sound"
Yunjin: (smiling) "You did great, Jake, and how could we leave without you."
Jake: (breaking the hug) (wiping his tears) "Thank you so much guys, but now let's not delay let's go."
Rose: "Wait, we can't leave yet."
Jake: (confuse) "Why?"
Yunjin: (Explains bully scene to Jake) "First, we have to search for that phone."
Rose: "Bomi's phone must be somewhere near where Y/n fell, we need to find it."
Jake nodded, understanding the urgency. Together, they searched the area near the staircase where Y/n had collapsed.
Jake and Yunjin searched near the staircase and Rose were searching the area where she had last seen Mi-kyung and Bomi. They checked under benches, behind pillars, and even in nearby bushes, but there was no sign of the phone.
Jake: "I have searched everywhere but couldn't find it"
Yunjin: "Neither I, maybe someone else at school saw something or picked it up?"
Jake: "I don't know let's check on rose if she found it"
But even Rose haven't found it yet, felt a growing sense of frustration and desperation, knowing that time was of the essence.
As she searched, she couldn't help but think about Y/n in the hospital. After what felt like an eternity of searching, Rose finally decided to call Jay again,
In hospital,
Jay Pov:
I sat in the waiting area of the hospital; my heart was getting heavy with worry and guilt. I couldn't shake the image of Y/n hooked up to machines that beeped and hummed around her. She looked so fragile, so vulnerable, and it tore at my heart to see her like that.
I made promise to our moms, the promise to always protect Y/n no matter what. And now, here she is, fighting for her life, and I couldn't help but feel like I had failed.
Tears started flowing through my eyes as I thought about the pain Y/n must be going through. I wished I could take her place, wished I could bear her suffering for her. But all I could do was sit there, helpless, and afraid, waiting for news of her condition.
My phone started ringing, so I reached into my pocket to answer it. However, I realized that the phone wasn't mine. It dawned on me that when Y/n was taken to the nurse's room, a boy had handed me the phone, saying I had forgotten it there. I hadn't been in any condition to check whose phone it was at the time, so I had just kept it in my pocket.
It wasn't my phone, and it didn't look like Y/n's phone either. I swiped the screen to check the contacts, and I saw Mi-kyung and Sujin's names saved. To confirm, I tried to search for personal details and opened Instagram, only to find it belonged to Han-Bomi.
I quickly opened the gallery and searched for the photos Rose was talking about, but instead, I found a video. As I played it, my eyes filled with anger. How can someone stoop so low as to record bullying someone like that? What hurt even more was seeing that one of our close friends, Hyejin, was also involved. I hadn't seen her in years, and I never thought she would be part of something like this.
My phone again started ringing, which pulled me out of my thoughts. I took out my phone and picked up the call.
End of POV.
Rose: "Jay, I've searched everywhere near the staircase and where I last saw Mi-kyung and Bomi, but I still can't find the phone. Do you have any other ideas where it could be?"
Jay: "Rose I'm sorry for the confusion but... there's something I need to tell you."
Rose: "What is it? And why did you take so long to Pick up the call? Is Y/n...."
Jay: "I found a phone in my pocket. I remember now, a boy gave it to me earlier, thinking it belonged to Y/n or me. But it's Bomi's phone."
Rose: "So, the whole time, Bomi's phone was with you?"
Jay: "Yes, I didn't realize I had Bomi's phone with me until now."
Rose: "It's okay, Jay. It's good the phone is still with us. We are also coming there."
Rose ended the call and went to Jake and Yunjin.
Rose: (excitedly) "Jay found it! He has Bomi's phone."
Yunjin: (relieved) "Thank goodness! Let's go to hospital then."
While going to hospital Jake informed his mom about Y/n.
Inside the emergency room,
Medical staff rushed to assess your condition. Taehyung, wiped his tears and with a deep breath went to examine Y/n's wound.
Taehyung was trying to stay calm, but his eyes betrayed his fear. Jungkook was openly crying, his hands clenched into fists. Jungkook, stared at you continuously with eyes filled with tears. Taehyung noticed and gently shook him to bring him back to his senses.
Taehyung: "Jungkook, stay strong. We need to focus on Princess right now."
Jungkook nodded, blinking back tears as he tried to compose himself. Taehyung turned his attention back to Y/n with steady his hands he continued examination.
Half an hour passed,
Nurse 1: (while handing the report) "The patient has suffered a head injury; the wound is deep. Also, she is suffering from internal injuries and swelling."
Nurse 2: "She has also lost a significant amount of blood and is still losing, which is why she is unconscious. We need to act quickly."
Jungkook: (to nurse) "We need to stop the bleeding, apply direct pressure to the wound, and use bandages."
Taehyung: (to the nurses) "We need to do a blood transfusion, prepare for immediate surgery, and manage the O negative blood. Until the operating theatre is prepared, ensure her wounds are properly cared for."
Jungkook: (to nurse) "Please prepare the consent form for surgery and hand it over to me; I'll take care of it."
Everyone nodded, and they began preparations for Y/n's surgery, soon Nurse came in and handed the letter to Jungkook.
Everyone was waiting outside in silence, lost in their own thoughts and emotions. They were only seeing nurses going in and out since Y/n was took in.
They heard the sound of approaching footsteps in the waiting area, which broke their stillness. It was Jungkook and Taehyung.
Jimin: (anxiously) "How... how is she? Is she going to be, okay?"
Taehyung: (sad) "I'm sorry to keep you waiting. Y/n is currently stable, but we can't be sure for how long. Her wounds are serious, looks like her blood vessels are damaged, and we suspect there might be a blood clot, which is why she is bleeding continuously."
Jungkook was holding consent form but was afraid to hand over to his Hyung's as they are older, he thought of asking them first.
Jungkook: (sigh) "Her hand is safe and but there are signs of internal bleeding and swelling. For now, we managed to stop it but before her pulse drop, we have to perform s...."
Jungkook paused before speaking and Suga understood what Jungkook was trying to say but he was too scared to accept it,
Suga: (out of patience) (serious) "Jungkook, perform what? And what's in your hand?"
He hesitated for a moment, looking at the consent form in his hands. J-Hope saw the form and he gave him a reassuring nod, encouraged him to continue.
Jungkook: (serious) "We need to perform surgery immediately for surgical repair and to stop her bleeding. So as an elder sibling we need Jin Hyung to sign consent form for the surgery."
They all knew this was coming, Jungkook then handed the consent form to Jin, who took it with trembling hands. Jin glanced at the form, his eyes filling with tears, before signing it.
Taehyung: "Namjoon Hyung, we need you for surgery. Dr Cheol-woo are operating right now so they can't perform the surgery"
Namjoon looked at the consent form in Jin's hand, his heart pounding with worry for Y/n. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves before speaking.
Namjoon: (nodded) "Alright, I'll get ready. I'll do whatever it takes to save my Baby."
Jin took the pen from Jungkook and signed the form, knowing that this surgery was crucial for Y/n's survival.
Jay: (teary eyes) "Can we see Y/n before the surgery?"
Taehyung: "Yes, but only for a few minutes. She's in the ICU, so you have to be quick."
Everyone followed Taehyung and Jungkook to the ICU, where they saw Y/n lying unconscious, surrounded by machines.
Jin approached her bedside and gently held her hand, whispering something.
Jin: (voice trembling) (tears streaming down his face) "Baby, you are my strong girl, please, please fight for Oppa. We are right here beside you, holding onto hope with every breath. Just continue to hold on, Princess. We love you so much."
As Jin spoke to Y/n, everyone was trying hard to control their tears. He gently squeezed her hand, hoping for any sign of response. Suddenly, Y/n started breathing heavily, and the machines began to beep urgently.
Jin: (tensed) "Princess? What's happening?!"
Nurses rushed in, Taehyung and Jungkook quickly assessed the situation.
Taehyung: (to nurse) (panic) "Get the crash cart! We need to stabilize her now!"
Jungkook: (to everyone) (panic) "We don't have time, take her to OT now"
Everyone stepped aside as they wheeled out Y/n to the operating room.
