Alaina was so proud and happy for Lahela when she finally figured out her specialty. She had come up with mobile medicine. She loved being out in the world, helping people. So the next few weeks the community had came together to help Lahela fix up a truck for her that was similar to her dad's shaved ice truck. Alaina and Nico were more than happy to help. As Alaina watched Lahela work on her mobile medicine truck, her heart was filled with love and pride for her best friend. She was so happy and proud that she had found her true calling. She couldn't wait to see what the future would hold for her and her mobile medicine truck. She and Kayden were now happily together and their love was stronger than ever.
Lahela was still good friends with Walter, and the two were happy that their friendship had grown stronger as well. Lahela and Kayden had decided to do this journey together. Kayden would help her out in her mobile medicine truck, and they would travel the island, helping people. This is what they both dreamt of doing and being able to do it together made things even better. Their love was stronger than ever and their bond was unbreakable. The whole community had came together to support them, and Alaina couldn't have been happier for her best friend.
"This is so amazing!" Alaina beams at the finished protect of the truck. It looked fantastic. It was bright and colorful, it had waves on the sides along with beautiful flowers and a sunset. "I'm so proud of you, Lahela. This is truly amazing. You're gonna help so many people."
"Thank you, Alaina." Lahela grinned at her and pulled her in for a hug. She had already hugged her parents and her brothers and was moving on to her friends. She pulled Stephanie into the hug as well to make it a group hug, the three girls giggling as they hugged each other tightly. Everyone awed at them, finding the sight absolutely adorable.
"You're welcome. I'm glad I could help. And I'm so proud of you." Alaina replies. "Are you excited to go on the road?"
"Oh yeah, I am." Lahela nods enthusiastically as they pull apart. She glances over at Kayden, who had walked up to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. He shares a smile with her and kisses the top of her head. "We're both more than ready for it."
"Yeah, now that my leg is finally healed, we can go anywhere and everywhere." Kayden added, his eyes shining with excitement. He was glad his leg had healed nicely and he was able to be a part of this journey with Lahela.
"That's great! You guys are gonna do amazing things." Alaina gushes, beaming at her best friends. She was so excited for them and the adventures they were going to have. "You better keep us updated, though."
"Oh, we will. Don't worry." Lahela grins at her, winking. She knew how Alaina was. She'd probably bug her about it a lot, but she wouldn't mind. "So, when do you leave for the mainland?"
"In a couple weeks, I think." Alaina nods, her lips curving up into a bright smile. "I'm really excited. I can't wait to experience new things and see different places."
Now that Nico was out of the hospital for good, he realized he needed to figure out who he was without the disease and his diagnosis hanging over his head. Alaina suggested to him that they could explore the mainland and maybe go traveling around the country. Alaina and Nico had talked about it a few times, and the more they talked about it, the more it sounded like a good idea. What better way to learn about yourself and the world around you than to travel and explore? And with each other by their side, they knew it would be an amazing journey.
"I'm so excited for you guys." Stephanie gushes, grinning at Alaina and Nico. "Better give us all the details about all the places you go to."
"Of course, we will." Nico chuckles, smiling at his friends. He was glad they were all so supportive and excited for them. "We'll try to keep in touch as much as possible. You guys won't even know we're gone."
"Oh, I think we will." Stephanie snorts, rolling her eyes playfully. "We'll miss you guys, but we'll be cheering you on from here."
Alaina and Nico smiled at each other. Their lives were changing, but their friendships and their love would never change. They would always have each other, no matter what. Everyone gathered around as Lahela and Kayden got in the finished truck, getting ready to leave. The crowd cheered and waved as they left, wishing them luck. Alaina's heart swelled with love and pride as she watched them drive off, knowing that this was just the beginning of their adventures.
She looks over at Nico, smiling brightly. "You ready to go on an adventure?"
"Absolutely." He grins, lacing their hands together. "With you, I'm ready for anything."
Alaina leans up and presses a gentle kiss to his cheek. They share a smile, their hearts full of love and excitement for what's to come. As they walked away, hand-in-hand, they were both thinking the same thing:
What a wild ride it's going to be.
And they couldn't wait.

Alaina and Nico were beyond excited as they boarded the plane that would take them to the mainland. They were ready to start this new chapter in their lives and discover what was in store for them. They were going to have so much fun, and they couldn't wait to get started. Alaina and Nico had said their goodbyes to their families who took them to the airport before they left. Nico's aunt and Alaina's parents and even her older sister had came to see them off and said goodbye to them. It was a bittersweet moment, but they all knew that they would be back soon enough.
They sat down in their seats and looked at each other, their eyes shining with excitement.
"We're finally doing this." Nico said, a smile tugging at his lips. He was so glad they were finally taking the next step in their relationship. They'd been planning this for a while now and he couldn't wait to get started.
"I know, I'm so excited." Alaina grins, her eyes sparkling with joy. "I can't believe we're actually doing this. It feels like a dream."
"Well, believe it. We're doing this." He leans in and kisses her forehead, his heart fluttering as she smiles and her cheeks turn a light pink. "This is just the beginning, Ali."
As the plane took off, Alaina and Nico were looking forward to a new adventure together. They knew that this was only the beginning of a journey filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Whatever happened, they would face it together, and nothing could stop them. They couldn't wait to see what was in store for them. With each other by their side, anything was possible.
They looked out the window, watching the ocean come into view as the plane flew over the ocean. Alaina reached out and laced her fingers with his, smiling at him.
"I'm so glad we're doing this together." She whispers. "I couldn't imagine doing this with anyone else."
Nico smiles, his heart swelling with love for the beautiful girl sitting next to him. "Me too, pretty girl. I love you."
Her face flushes a light pink, and she beams at him. "I love you too."
They share a loving look before settling into their seats and watching the world fly by through the windows, their hearts filled with love and excitement for the adventures that lay ahead of them. As the plane landed, they got their bags and made their way to the car rental area. Nico and Alaina rented a car and they were soon on their way to their first destination. They were headed to New York City. They had landed in New York, ready to explore the bustling city and all it had to offer. As they drove through the streets, Alaina couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and excitement at the sight of the towering skyscrapers and bustling crowds.
"Wow, this city is amazing." Alaina exclaims, her eyes wide with awe as they drove through the busy streets of New York City. "I can't believe we're actually here."
Nico grins at her excitement, loving seeing her so happy. "It's pretty incredible, isn't it? And we're just getting started."
They spent their days exploring the city, visiting iconic landmarks like Times Square, Central Park, and the Statue of Liberty. They indulged in delicious food from street vendors and trendy restaurants, immersing themselves in the vibrant culture of the city. Each night, they would return to their cozy hotel room, cuddling up together and reminiscing about the day's adventures. They talked about their dreams and aspirations, their hopes for the future, and their love for each other.
As they continued their journey across the country, visiting different cities and experiencing new cultures, their bond grew stronger with each passing day. They laughed, they cried, they shared intimate moments together, creating memories that would last a lifetime. And through it all, they knew that no matter where life took them, they would always have each other. They were a team, partners in crime, ready to take on whatever challenges came their way.
