" Neillll......" Avni keeps screaming Neil's name on a cliff and looks around, because in the call she received, a man from the other side told her that he saw her husband falling from here.
Avni immediately leaves the house and reaches here and she does not tell anything to anyone at home because Prakash is in the office and Shweta and Bebe have gone to Mehra house.
And she is not even in her senses to tell anything to anyone and she drives herself to the place which the man had told her about and now after coming here she is looking for Neil's sign everywhere but she is not able to see him anywhere, tears are not stopping from her eyes and she is not able to understand anything at this time
" Neill...." She speaks while crying but suddenly becomes silent when she hears his voice from behind
" Avni " Avni turns back and sees Neil standing safe and sound in front of her at a little distance and she doesn't think anything further but runs straight towards him and hugs him.
" Are you okay? Thank God you're okay." She says this while hugging him tightly to which Neil doesn't say anything while Avni keeps mumbling thanks to her God.
She was really scared, she has already lost one thing....she can't lose Neil at any cost. The thought of something happening to him frightens her.
She cries in his arms, trying to hold him tighter, but when he feels she has calmed down a bit, he pulls her away from him
" Relax, I am fine." He says, to which Avni looks at him with her teary eyes and somehow understands that the phone call was fake.
How could he do this to her, she was scared to death because of his dirty joke.
" Aren't you ashamed of making such a dirty joke with me..." Neil can sense the anger and disappointment in her words
" But why would it matter to you if something happened to me...? You just want to see me die anyway." He says this which makes her heart beat faster, she could never have imagined in her worst nightmare what he said
" Anyways, let's leave all that aside... let me come to the point... Sorry for the prank but ye lo....." saying this he gives her the envelope she had given him
" Maine sign kar diya hai....Now you are free from me, from our relationship...." Avni hears this and her heart skips a beat...he signed?
" Happy? This is what you wanted, right?" She hears his questions but doesn't say anything. No, she doesn't want this, but she has no choice.
" Kholkar nahi dekhogi, ki Maine sign kiya yaa nahi ?" He says.
" There is no need for that....I know that till today you have done only what I wanted..." She says in her choked voice and teary eyes, Neil smiles at her words
" chalo, You have got this happiness....now you will get another good news in a few hours..." Saying this, he moves away from her and goes behind her and Avni turns, she looks at him confused at his words, this too is not her happiness but her compulsion.....and soon her eyes widen when she sees him stop at the edge of the cliff and then turn toward her.
" And you know what the good news is? Neil Khanna is no more." he says to which her eyes widen, How can he say that this will be good news for her, her eyes are filled with tears
Standing there he looks straight into her eyes, it is not easy for him to give more pain to her already aching heart saying all this, But now he has no option...she is not ready to change her decision so this is the only way left for him and even if she still doesn't change her decision today, it doesn't matter, he won't be able to live without her anyway, so let's see whether her stubbornness is important for her or him.
" I am nothing without you....toh ab jab humara rishta hi nahi raha....what will Neil Khanna do by living....You take one step away from me and I will embrace death straight from here...." Her eyes widen but at the same time she understands that he wants to stop her by doing all this but how can she stop, she doesn't want to deprive him and family, for the rest of their lives, of that one thing they deserve.
" Are you threatening me...?" He smiles at her words
" No, I am just testing my love for the first time, If my love loves her stubbornness more than me, she will leave from here and I..." He is unable to say anything further when she cuts him off
" You are being selfish again, It is not easy for me to stay...." she says
" Then go away..." he says but Avni's breath stops as he takes a step back.
" Neil ruk jaaiye..."
" Rukna tumhe hai Avni, You take a step back from there and I'll take one from here..." saying this he takes another step back, stopping her heartbeat
" Aapko meri kasam hai....." she says
" Aaj mujhe koi kasam nahi rok sakti.....And now you have only 10 seconds to decide...me or your stubbornness, because I am no longer able to live like this, My heart is not strong enough to bear all this. First I lost my child and now my wife....I can't live like this....I have always had only one dream of living with you, today that dream is over, so what will I do by living?" She cries hearing him.
She also doesn't like to live like this but she has nothing left to give to him in their love.
Meanwhile, Neil starts counting backwards from 10 but as soon as he reaches 5, Avni stops him.
" Ok, ok I am not going anywhere....please stop all this.." she says and Neil watches her fall on the ground and sit down, crying.
Neil sees her like that and taking a deep breath comes close to her and sits on her level, and cups her face, Avni looks at him with teary eyes and he wipes her tears on which her eyes fill more.
" Kyon Kar rahe hai aap mere saath aisa....kya aapko meri taklif nahi dikh rahi ?"
" Tumhe meri taklif nahi dikh rahi hai ?" He asks
" Dikh rahi hai, aur isiliye main puri zindagi aapko us taklif se dur rakhna chahti hu." She says
" Jab tak tum mere saath hogi mujhe koi taklif nahi hogi...." he says wiping her tears on which she sees him
" Why are you making things difficult for me....I am not able to forget what happened....I am not able to forget that I raised everyone's hopes and then broke them....If I had not told that lie, had not hidden the truth from everyone then everyone's expectations would not have increased....You don't decorate the room that you had to close with a heavy heart....and I am not able to forget all this...My pain is increasing day by day instead of decreasing......Please let me go from your life...?" she says crying to which he wipes her tears and he also feels relieved that she finally shared what she keeps thinking
" I will never let you go...." he says and Avni looks down
" Avni look at me ( saying this he makes her looks at him )
did I say anything to you, did the family say anything to you? No, right?" She looks at him at his words and yes, no one said anything to her
" When we did not tell you anything then why are you being forced by the words of that bad person to think all this which will never happen..." On his words she sees him silently
" In all this time, have you been able to understand me or our family to the extent that if the family does not get an heir, everyone will consider you a burden...?" On this she sees him
" Do you really think that dad would just let his daughter go if you wanted to leave him just because you can't give him a grandchild.." At his words she looks at him, biting her lips.
" Let's assume that a child completes a relationship....but should that one shortcoming make us forget the rest of the relationships...?
Should we forget our parents, our brothers and sisters...who have supported us throughout our lives?" His words make her think about how she has distanced herself from everyone these days, especially her brother, and because of which he is hurt.
" Why should we spoil our present by thinking about what will happen in the future... and who knows God may have thought something good for us... we should not lose hope like this..." He tells her which makes her eyes fill with tears
" And I know that my Avni can never think of leaving me...ye sab bua ka kiya hua hai..." she looks at his words
" How can you let someone's dirty thoughts win over our relationship...I agree our time is weak but we cannot break down like this in that time." She looks at him on hearing his words.
And somewhere, the things which she was not able to understand for so long, today she starts understanding them due to the fear of losing Neil and now after listening to him with a calm mind.
Yes, somewhere she has understood that okay, whatever happens in the future will be seen, but why is she spoiling her and everybody else's life today.
But at the same time she also thinks what is the use of all this now that they're divorced now, he has signed it.
" Now what is the use of all this, you have signed the divorce papers...we are already divorced...then why did you want me to stop...." He smiles slightly at her words
" TV serials ki trah Phir se shaadi kare ?" She sees him on this and he takes the envelope from her hand.
" Maine kaha tha, maine in kaagaj ke tukdon par shaadi nahi ki thi...toh fir ye kaagaj ke tukden humara rishta kaise tod sakte hai...." Saying this he takes out their divorce papers from the envelope and shows it to her where his signature is not there, to which, she looks at him, it means he lied? He knew she won't open it and that's why he did all this
He tears the paper and throws it in the air where she looks at him
Their eyes meet but guilt fills her heart.
Once again it was he who support her, not she.
" So....." She is unable to say sorry to him when he places a finger on her lips
" Don't say this, just hold my hand and let's go back home....chalogi naa ?" She looks at him on hearing his words
" And yes, now don't say that you are not worthy of me...only you are worthy of me and no one can change this truth, Everyone makes mistakes....and I know you have learnt from your mistakes....you will never hide anything from me again...I know that. " He says, to which she slightly nods her head, assuring him that she will never lie to him again.
" Toh ab ghar chale...." He says while giving his hand to her to which she places her hand on his while looking at him.
Neil makes her sit in the car and then he himself sits on the driving seat but suddenly Avni notices that he has become silent now who's making her understand things right now.
And for some reason their whole car ride from there to home is silent
Avni doesn't say anything in her guilt because after doing all this, it will take time for her to become his Avni again in front of him.
Neil also doesn't think it appropriate to say anything more after saying all that, she changes his decision...she is coming home with him of her own free will, what else does he want.
But is this the only reason for his silence?
No, even though he has convinced her, he is not even angry with her for anything but he's hurt....He is hurt by her decision to divorce him, he knows it was not her decision but in any case how could she even think of it?
Well now everything will be fine between them but he will never forgive her for this mistake as he told her.
Both reach home where Shweta and Bebe have still not returned from Mehra house and as it is night time so Neil gets a call from Shweta that they will return after having dinner from there so he and Avni should have their dinner.
Neil tells this to Avni and both of them freshen up first, Obviously they were freshened up separately not together and then come down together to have dinner where Neil doesn't say anything, upon which Avni looks at him.
Somehow he is able to understand the reason behind her silence but still she is so full of her guilt that she cannot open her mouth in front of him to ask him something...She herself doesn't understand why she is so hesitant with Neil, with her Neil.
Both of them finish their dinner in silence and return to their room.
But here Avni again gets shocked by his behavior when she sees that he is sleeping with his back towards her.
The man who did not stop cuddling her and sleeping with her even after she talks to him for divorce, has fallen asleep today without saying anything even when everything is fine.
She thinks something, She has really created distance between them with her behaviour and now she cannot expect Neil alone to reduce the distance.
" Good night Neil." After gathering a lot of courage, the words come out of her mouth
"Good night." She hears his disinterested voice and thinks of something.
And then she also lies down and sleep.
3 more days pass, and in these three days Neil's behavior does not change,
Avni is also unable to say anything but now she cannot tolerate his silence when she realizes why he is silent.
She hasn't apologized to him for any of her mistakes yet....she told him a lie for which Neil said he would never forgive her but still he took care of her in her scattered state, even though he too needed someone to take care of him but in her sorrow she did not notice that he too was suffering as much as she was and instead of reducing his pain, she increased his pain further by giving him the divorce papers.
And after remembering all those things, realizing it, she remembers the words which Neil had said to her that "She has crossed the limits now, and he will not forgive her for that."
Even though he saved their relationship by convincing her, now he is angry, and is punishing her with his silence, yes she knows this because his words don't hurt her as much as his silence.
She has understood everything and somewhere now she will have to fix the things between them herself...because he has already tried too much.
Its morning time, Avni is looking for a chance to talk to him and when she sees him going for a shower, this means that after the shower he will get ready for office and go to office and today again he won't get a chance to talk to her.
No, she will talk to him right now.
" Neil " Neil who was going to the washroom stops at the sound of her voice and he turns towards her.
" I'm sorry " He looks at her sorry and as he didn't need her explanation to understand her words, So he understands her sorry very well that why is she sorry
"It's okay" saying this he is about to go to the washroom again but Avni stops him
" If it's okay then why are you not talking to me...?" he doesn't say anything on her words
" I know I have made some mistakes for which you do not want to forgive me but why are you behaving like this now...It's been 3 days...you are not talking at all..." Avni says
" Why? You could not tolerate my silence for 3 days ? Do you have any idea how many days I have tolerated your silence?" On hearing his words, she also realises her this mistake of how he tried to talk to her but she remained silent.
" Toh agar baat hi nahi karni thi, toh wapas lekar kyon aaye mujhe ?" He smiles slightly at her words
" Baat nahi karunga, iska matalb ye nahi ki rishta tod dunga...jab mera man karega...baat kar lunga." He says
" Aur aapka man kab karega ? Aap kab mujhe meri galtiyon ki maafi denge ?" She asks
" Jab tum chaho, apni sajaa puri karo, apni galtiyon ki maafi le lo." On hearing his words she looks at him and after thinking something she says
" Toh boliye main kya Karu aapki maafi ke liye....aap jo bologe wo karungi kyonki ab mujh se aapki chupi bardaast nahi ho rahi..." She says
" Jo bolunga, karogi ?"
" Haan " He smiles slightly at her words....no matter what happens...no matter what he says in anger that he will never forgive her for her mistake but somewhere the truth is that he melts in front of her.
" Kiss me with all the love you have for me..." She is slightly startled by his words.
" Kiss me in such a way that I forget everything, kiss me in such a way that I forget all the bitterness of the past, forget all the pain....I want to start afresh with you...I want your company and I just want us to remember our love, nothing else." he says, making her eyes moist.
" sirf Itna karo, aur main tumhe tumhari sari galtiyon ki maafi de dunga." On his words she sees him.
He says this because now there is no other way to remove the distance and hesitation between them....It's been almost a year since the two got intimate, first because of her pregnancy and now because of the distance they have been living apart these days.
And during the pregnancy also there was only kiss happen between them, but nothing more than that; but now there is no physical bond between them.
It's not that he wants to be physical with her. No, he wants to be with her not physically or out of lust but because of their love, because there's no other way to remove the distance and hesitation between them.
Whereas Avni is really hesitant to accept her punishment...In fact, she couldn't even remember the last time they were intimate. How could she remove this distance between them?
Neil sees her getting nervous suddenly and smiles slightly
" Take your time, you already know your punishment....do it when you feel like talking to me..." Saying this he goes straight to the washroom on which she thinks something
Inside the washroom, Neil removes his T-shirt and turns on the shower and stands under it with his eyes closed from where tears start flowing. Nowadays he has started liking his shower time more because here he can get relief from his pain with the help of these waters
He just stands there quietly with his eyes closed but suddenly he opens his eyes when he feels Avni's touch on his shoulder from back.
He turns back and sees her in front of him and Avni sees how his eyes are filled with tears, this water can't hide his pain from her.
Both of them were looking at each other and as she was standing close to him, the water fell on her as well, drenching her.
" Please forgive me." she says as she cups his face and then wipes his tears and then she bends his head a little towards her, which he does effortlessly and in no time she places her lips on his lips and both of them close their eyes and the feeling of union starts flowing from their eyes.
Their heartbeats keep racing, and after keeping her lips on him for a while, Avni gently sucks his upper lip but stops immediately, upon which he understands her hesitation and before Avni could remove her lips from his lips, Neil pulled her more into him circling his arms around her, holding her completely close to him and then pouring all his love into that kiss, he first kisses her gently while sucking her lower lips to which she reciprocates sucking his upper, both of them can feel a shiver running down their spine due to this mixture of their breaths, Neil deepens the kiss, and the wetness of their lips and the water falls on them intensifies their soulful kiss and after pouring all their love and emotion into that kiss they both separate and rest their foreheads against each other.
Neil cups her face and wipes her tears with his thumb and then kisses both her eyes, Sliding his lips over her eyes, he kisses her nose tip, and then gently kissing her cheeks, he sucks away her tears as they flow with the water and then in no time, burning with desire for each other, both of them end up making their pure love.
After their emotional and loving moment, Avni gets forgiveness from Neil but now Avni had not only hurt Neil but she has hurt the whole family, after taking a shower and having a nice conversation they both come down where Avni apologizes to Bebe, Shweta and Prakash for her bad behavior on which the whole family forgives her saying that they were not hurt by her behavior, everyone understands how difficult this phase is and has been for her, for them ( avneil ) and how difficult it is to come out of it, but at the same time, it is not impossible, So now without any tension both ( avneil ) of them can live their life together without worrying about the future and after hearing all this, Avni once again feels lucky to have not only Neil but also such a family.
It is night time.
" Neil, kal mujhe Ghar lekar chalenge...."
Neil smiles at her initiative when he realizes why she wants to go to Mehra's house tomorrow.
" Toh koi naam sochaa hai tumne ?" He asks her who is resting in his arms. He cuddles her from behind and they both are talking and in the meanwhile Avni expresses her wish to go Mehra house because after this family she now has to apologize to that family too, she needs to apologize especially to her brother and more so to her bhabhi whom she has ignored, and especially to her little nephew whom she has not seen yet.
" Naam toh kal sabke saamne aapko pta chalegi." She says on which he smiles slightly.
" Are you really fine now? You are not pretending to be okay again, right?" He asks
" I won't lie Neil, I don't know if I am fine or not but I know that with your love, I will be fine.
like, I am enough for you...you are enough for me too...I don't want anything else, nothing at all." Neil understands her words and smiles slightly and then kisses her temple upon which she closes her eyes.
And both of them fall into a peaceful sleep after finding the comfort of each other's arms after a long time.
Next day
The scene is of Mehra house where Raj and Simran are waiting for the Khanna family and especially Avni to arrive and their wait ends and a big smile spreads on Raj's face when he sees his sister coming with Neil...Avni also looks at her brother and her eyes get moist remembering how she hurt her beloved brother.
The Mehra family is happy to see Avni like this, Neela comes close to her and lovingly hugs her daughter on which Avni apologizes to her mother for her wrong behavior, on which her mother kisses her forehead and says that there is no need for this.
After meeting her parents, Avni stands in front of Simran before Raj, who has her new born baby in her arms.
" Please forgive me, Bhabhi, for all my behavior that hurt you..." Avni says.
" You have not hurt me Avu, just like you are his little sister, for me too you are the same little Avu whom I met in school, None of your behavior hurts me because I know my Avu...I have seen you growing up and I know what kind of person my Avu is, So forget everything." Simran tells her to which Avni smiles slightly
While everyone else also smiles looking at them both
" Aap ise mujhe nahi dengi...?" She says this while looking at the little boy at which Simran smiles and she places the little one in Avni's arms, taking which Avni's eyes get moist but a smile also comes on her lips.
And after staring and admiring him for a while, Avni speaks
" Bhai, ansh ki trah ye bhi bhabhi par gya hai." Avni says this to which Raj smiles.
But what Simran says next suprise everyone standing there.
" Avu, ise tum rakh lo....mere paas Ansh hai..." Everyone looks at Simran on hearing her words and Neil's eyes get moist seeing his sister's generosity but at the same time he knows his wife's nature too.
Avni looks at Simran with a smile and says
" Bhabhi, you have a big heart that you want to make such a big sacrifice but I am not so selfish that I would separate a mother from her child... I am fine now, I have accepted what happened to me...Maybe I was not capable of becoming a mother yet, that is why God did not give me this right, but I know I am a good bua and maami...Aur maami me bhi toh maa aata hai....main apne dono bachchon ki bua aur maami bankar hi khush hu." Avni says making Neil feel proud of her.
And then without giving anyone a chance to say anything on this, Avni tells everyone to complete the naming ceremony.
On which everyone else also thinks it is appropriate.
The naming ceremony of the child is completed and Avni names her second nephew Aarav.
After the naming ceremony, Avni asks Raj for forgiveness for her mistakes, upon which he forgives his little sister by hugging and kissing her forehead.
Avni is playing with Aarav in her arms when Ansh comes with Neil and complains to her.
" Buaa, aap jab se aaye ho iss chhotu ke saath khel rahe ho....aaj aapne mujhe kissi bhi nahi di...." Ansh complains seeing his younger brother getting all the attention and love.
And before Avni can says anything on his complain, Neil speaks
" Arre toh Ansh ke liye maamu hai naa..maamu aapko kissi de dete hai Buaa ke badle..." Saying this Neil kisses Ansh on his cheeks to which Ansh again makes a face when Neil's beard pricks him
But then Raj comes and Avni asks him to take a picture of her and Neil with Aarav and Ansh.
So there on the couch, Neil takes Ansh in his arms and Aarav is already in Avni's arms and Raj takes a beautiful picture of them and then the whole family sits there and takes a happy family photo.
And with this happy family picture the last chapter of this book ends here...❤️
