                  "You're what?"

"I can't take it anymore, it's too much and for what honestly?"

"Knuckles, come on you're only letting her win."

"Let her win, let her have her pointless victory"

"You can't at least see it to the end?"

"Too many responsibilities, at least too many to also be doing this"

"Fine, thanks for doing it while you could."

"Thanks, Blaze, now to tell Amy"

"Just tell her in a more light way, please?"

"I'll see what I can do"

                  "You're What?"

                  "Amy, I'm sorry"

"You have got to be kidding me"

                  "Sorry I'm not"

"It's fine, I just didn't think it would go this way, at least this soon"

                  "Sorry"

                  "It's fine"

"Well, you took that better than expected"

                  "Thanks?"

Amy deflates as Knuckles go to another conversation

                  "Blaze?"

                  "Yeah?"

"Can you do Art with me?"

"I already have music during that period. Plus we already have every other period together. We can go one period without seeing each other."

"Says you" Amy quietly comments back

                  "What?"

                  "Nothing."

Amy screams into her pillow. She's so cringe. She hates how cringy she is. Maybe if Blaze saw her differently, she would actually like her! As a friend, of course. As a friend and only ever a friend. Blaze probably puts up with all her shenanigans for no reason. Maybe out of the kindness of her own heart. Amy thanks Blaze for being so forgiving for her. Blaze is nice, maybe too nice for her own good.

Amy hates how she thinks sometimes. It only seems to be Blaze. Like yesterday and the day before and the day before that and the day before that and the day before that and the day before that and the day before that and the day before that and the day before that and the day before that and the day before that and the day before that and the day before that.

You get the picture. Amy thinks she should do something nice for Blaze. Maybe some flowers or a gift or something? Not another obligation like hanging out or Halloween. Something that Amy can give to her for all her appreciation. She thinks on it, really thinks on it. She decides on flowers.

She thinks Blaze said she remembered her last name. So probably roses would be the best bet. Amy goes down to a local shop and purchases some roses to give to Blaze at school tomorrow. She falls asleep easily, happy that she can repay Blaze, even if only a bit of the presumably massive debt she owes Blaze for being her friend. This is perfect, Blaze will love this.

They get distracted all the way to Lunch the next day. Amy only remembers the Roses at lunch. She pulls Blaze away. Easily. Then pulls out the roses for all to see.

"I thought I should give you a gift!"

"Why? Is it something special today?"

"Nope, it's just for being my friend"

                 "Amy..."

"What? Do you not like them? Sorry, they were in my bag for a bit-"

                 "Amy."

                 "..."

"You don't need to give me gifts for being my friend."

                 "Sorry, I just thought-"

Blaze gives her a hug. Amy begins to cry into her shoulder.

"What did I say about thinking that you were a burden?"

                 "Sor-"

"You have nothing to apologize for."

                 "...Really?"

"Really. Now, let's get you cleaned up."

"Sorry if I ruined-" Amy say through tears.

                 "Amy?"

                 "Yeah?"

                 "Stop apologizing."

The two go to the bathroom. Amy blows her nose, while Blaze makes sure Amy's okay. Eventually Amy's crying comes to a stop.

"You need to get out of that house."

"I did yesterday for your gift... you do like it right?"

"Yes I do, but I don't need to. You being my friend is all I need, okay?"

                 "Okay, thank you"

"...We should hang out this weekend."

                 "Are you sure?"

                 "Yes."

                 "My house or yours?"

                 "Which one do you want?"

                 "...Yours."

                 "Alright, Saturday?"

                 "Saturday"

"Cool, let's get back to the others their probably worried about you."

                 "I hope I wasn't too much of a-"

                 Blaze looks at her

                 "...pain?"

                 "We'll work on that."

                 "Fair enough."

The two walk out of the bathroom and back to their table. Where the other three are. Talking. Silver notices them first. Followed by Cream and Marine. All three of them wave to the pair as they come back. Blaze and Amy sit down, the three look at them.

                 "So....What happened?"

"Amy had a problem and we solved it."

                 "What was the problem?"

                 "Silver, stop pushing."

                 "Fine"

The five go back to their lunch. Then leave for the sixth period. Cream and Marine seem to take advantage of that. As they ask Blaze what happened last period on the way there.

"C'mon tell us!" Marine says bouncing up and down to get into Blaze's vision.

                  "No."

"Was it anything romantic?" Cream asks to Blaze's side, Marine still bouncing.

                  "No."

"When are you going to tell her?" Cream asks

                  "Eventually...Maybe."

"C'mon Blaze!" Marine exclaims to the cat who looks at her, Marine smiles and keeps bouncing until they arrive at their destinations.

Blaze is glad that's over. Now she can focus on music, hopefully. Maybe. She can't. Now her interaction with Amy plays in her head. What she did. What she did wrong. What she could have done. Was she too blunt? Was she too forceful? Was she too much? Did she really help at all or mess it up even more?

Blaze tries to work but ends up giving up and putting her head on the table. Maybe tomorrow when her mind isn't so clouded she can think about actual things and not Amy. Not like she minds thinking about her, it's a lot and it clouds her mind, she still needs to do things!

Art is hard and boring too, like it always is. Nothing changes. Except now, Knuckles isn't here. Only her and her teacher who doesn't even notice Knuckles absence or who at least doesn't choose to acknowledge it. Maybe it's because of the project but Amy hates her. Maybe for no real reason but she has been nothing but at the very least bad luck at the most an active force trying to get everyone to quit her class probably for some messed up reason. At least that's what Amy thinks. Others would probably have different opinions. But Amy hates her. Maybe a bit too much. Maybe in an obsessive kind of hate, one that repeats over and over and over and over and over and over. Again and again. That's all it does.

Study hall is the same. Amy seemingly even more demoralized than usual, Blaze seems to help. She doesn't know how but she's glad she can. The next period after that is normal and then buses then back home. Blaze prepares for her day tomorrow with Amy. Cream and Marine have something else planned though.
