Description: After the tragic events of last summer Y/n Hargrove is still grieving her brother Billy. On top of that, the bitch Vecna also decided to curse her. (Max isn't cursed in this one and Robin and Y/n are already dating)

"Hey, are you okay?" My step-sister Max asked, as she sat down beside me on the couch in the wheelers' basement. "I'm... as good as someone who's about to die can feel." I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. "Don't say that, Nance and Robin are going to find a solution, I promise." She promised. I sighed and tried to surpress my tears. All the nosebleeds, headaches and nightmares finally made sense now. I guess that's what happens when... nevermind. I was exhausted, all I wanted was to throw myself in Robins arms and let her tell me everything would be fine, that Billy was still alive and that everything that had happened since last summer was just a really bad nightmare.
Flashback:
We were standing on the balcony in starcourt mall, throwing fireworks at the big scary mindflayer. I was terrified, but I was standing next to Robin, so I felt some comfort in that. I glanced besides me, only aiming for a reassuring look from Robin, but in the corner of my eye I saw my brother, Billy, walk up to the mindflayer with someone in his arms. I felt the blood leave my face, and I froze mid-throw. I watched how Billy laid Eleven infront of the mindflayer, inviting him to attack. "no..." I whispered, and dropped the firework off the balcony. My body started working again and I immediatly came in action. I began to run towards the stairs. "Y/n! where are you going?!" I heard Robins concerned yells behind me, but I ignored them and kept running down the stairs. "Billy stop!" I yelled as I came down the stairs. The tears were rolling down my cheeks. "Please Billy!" I yelled as I came to a halt behind him. He was bent over Eleven, her hand on his cheek and he seemed to ignore me. "Billy... Billy this isn't you." I begged, trying to catch his attention. He probably didn't hear me over all the fireworks, or chose to ignore me, but I still didn't get a response. A small sparkle of hope lit up in me when he finally stood up and glanced my way. His expression had changed, he looked... scared, sad but not angry anymore. He turned away from me and faced the mindflayer. I held my breath, scared what was going to happen. Before I could fully comprehend what was going on the mindflayer launched at him, attaching his slimy tentacles to Billy's side. A big dark red stain was starting to spread on his shirt when another tentacle launched at him. My eyes widened in shock and my body froze when I understood what was going on. "No..." A soft whisper left my lips. I wanted to run up to him, rip him away from the mindflayer but something was holding me back, and I couldn't help but just stand there, watching how my brother was dying...
End flashback.
So now you know, it was my fault my brother was dead. I could've helped him, saved him. But I didn't, I just stood there...
"Okay, we're ready to leave, stay here and if something happens, call us through the walkie." Nancy said as she threw the walkie at Steve. I looked up at Nancy and Robin and couldn't help but snort. Robin was wearing a very neat blouse with a big fancy collar and a coulored skirt. It was definitly not what I was ever expecting to see her wear, and she looked very uncomfortable, which made it only look funnier. I bit my lip while trying not to break out in laughter. "What?" Robin grunted when she noticed my attempt not to laugh. "Nothing! It's just... you look uhm... different." I snickered. Robin rolled her eyes at me and I got up from the couch. "You're still the most gorgeous women I've ever laid my eyes on though..." I whispered quietly as I fixed a folded peice of her collar. "Stop it." She whispered back, trying not to laugh herself too. "Alright lovebirds, we gotta go." Nancy said, grabbing Robins arm as she said those last words. She smiled one last time at me and pecked my cheek. "Be safe okay? I'll be back before you know it, I love you!" She assured me while Nancy took her with her. "I love you too!" I called after her, but she was already outside.
I frowned and sat back down on the couch, when a terrible headache suddenly hit me. I recognised it immediatly, it was just like all the other ones I've had these last couple of days. This one seemed worse, and the atmospere seemed to darken. "Oh shit." I whispered while quickly scanning my surroundings. I was still in the basement, and the others too. They didn't seem to notice anything off. I sat back down and sighed, maybe I was just imagining stuff. I stopped worrying until I suddenly heard someone call my name, it was Vecna... "Y/n... your time is almost at an end..." I started breathing heavier and covered my ears and eyes. "No, no,no!" I yelled. "Go away!" I completely curlded up on the couch and prayed Vecna would go away.
Just as sudden as it all started, it stopped, and I opened my eyes again. I saw everyone standing around me and giving me worried looks. Max had her hand on my shoulder and was sat down next to me on the couch. "Are you okay?" Steve asked as he took a step closer. "I'm... yeah, I'm good." I replied back, my voice barely above a whisper. I realised I had tears on my cheeks and quickly wiped them away. "Was it him?" Dustin asked, hinting at Vecna. I nodded. "I'm just gonna go get some water." I said as I stood up to go to the bathroom. "I'll be right back."
I turned on the faucet and gathered some water in my hands. I splashed the water on may face and patted my cheeks. Why me? I thought. Why did this all have to happen to me?! I sighed deeply and closed my eyes. When I opened them again something felt off, and I looked in the mirror only to see Billy standing right behind me. Billy, with his stained red bloody shirt and a glossy look in his eyes. I gasped and turned around, he was there, he was really there. "No, please! Go away!" I yelled as I made a run for the bathroom door, but it was locked and I couldn't open it. "That's not very nice to say to your dead brother..." Billy/Vecna said in a sarcastic voice. I ignored him and kept throwing myself against the door, hoping it would open "I thought you wanted to join me?" He added, and I froze. "I don't! Please! Go away!" I sobbed, as I started throwing myself against the door again. "Oh yes you did, don't think I didn't notice those thoughts of yours, late at night, wishing you could just end it all, wishing you could've followed me into death." He continued. "That's why I'm here, y/n... it is time, time for you to join me..." His voice suddenly turned darker and scarier. I was able to finally open the door and I fell through it. When I looked up I saw that it wasn't Billy standing in front of my anymore, it was Vecna...
Max's Pov:
"Alright, it's been way too long, I'm checking up on her." I said while getting up from the couch. "Just give her some time." Steve protested, but I didn't listen to him. "No, I've already lost my brother, I'm not losing my sister too!" I shouted. Technically it was 'step-sister' and 'step-brother' but I didn't care anymore, I loved Y/n as much as a real big sister. I walked up to the bathroom and opened the door, relieved that it wasn't locked. I saw Y/n standing at the sink, the faucet still running. "Y/n?" I whispered. "Are you okay?" No response. "Y/n?!" I shouted, but still no response. shit... it was happening! "Guys! come quick!" I yelled, and Steve, Dustin and Lucas all rushed to the bathroom. "Y/n wake up!" I yelled while pulling at her shoulders, but she wasn't waking up...
Y/n's Pov:
I quickly scrambled back up from the floor and started running towards the front door. Luckily this one opened quicker and I ran outside. "Max! Steve! Robin!" I yelled while tears were streaming down my face. "Help! anybody!" I sobbed. I kept running and hid behind a car. when I peeked from behind the car I saw Vecna ceeping closer and I quickly got up and started running again. I entered a new sort of dimension, there was a red glow hanging in the atmosphere and the floor was covered in a red liquid. "What are you doing here, Y/n?" I heard Vecna's voice coming from somewhere, but I couldn't find him anywhere. I heard something crack under my feet and looked down to see many spiders crawling from a cracked spider egg. I yelped and stumbled backwards. I bumped into something and turned around to see that it was Vecna. "Shit!" I cursed and started running again, but a vine shot under my feet and grabbed me by my leg, causing me to fall. The vine dragged me over the floor and tied me to something. I couldn't move and it felt like the vine was chocking me. "Help!" I yelled. Vecna came closer. "Just stay very still..." He growled as he raised his claw above my face.
Max's pov:
"Where's the goddamn walkie!?" Yelled at Dustin as he quickly ran to go get it. "It's right here!" He shouted as he came running back with the walkie raised above his head. "Robin? Nancy? Do you copy? This is a code red, I repeat, this is a CODE RED!" He yelled at the walkie, trying to get a hold of Robin and Nancy. "This is Robin, we copy." I heard Robin's voice through the walkie. "Please tell me you guys have it figured out!" I yelled as I took the walkie from Dustin. "Yes we have, it's too long to explain but you need music! turn on her favourite song!" Robin explained. I took off my walkman and grabbed some casettes. "What's her favourite song?" I yelled, I felt terrible for not even knowing my sisters favourite song. "It's gotta be in here somewhere, this was her walkie." I mumbled as I kept rummaging through the casettes. "Her favourite song is 'I'm still standing' by Elton John! We're almost back!" I heard Robin's voice cracking through the walkie. I spotted the song and immediatly put it in the walkman and placed it on Y/n's head. "God please work..." I whispered, as Y/n suddenly started floating.
Y/n's Pov:
"You could never know what it's like, your blood like winter freezes just like ice..."
I heard Elton Jhon's voice fill the air, and a window of smoke opened up in the distance. I saw myself floating in the air, and my friends standing around me. "They can't help you, Y/n. There's a reason you hide from them" Vecna growled, and I looked him in his eyes. "Y-you're n-not really h-here." I stumbled, the vine still wrapped tightly around my neck.
"...And there's a cold lonely light that shines from you..."
"Oh but I am, Y/n." He answered. I hear my friends call my name and I see them jumping around me. "I really am..."
"...You'll wind up like the wreck you hide, behind that mask you use..."
I closed my eyes and tried to think about all my happy memories, if I die, I want to at least think about fun stuff. Vecna lowered his hand above my face and I could feel him do something, but I didn't know what.
"...And did you think this fool could never win, well look at me, I'm coming back again..."
Flashbacks:
"Hey, I'm max." The little red-haired girl infront of me introduced herself. "This is your step-sister, y/n." My dad said. "Hi max." I smiled and shook her hand.
"...I got a taste of love in a simple way..."
"Uhm, Rob..." I hesitated. "Yeah?" She answered, her ever present warm smile calming me down. "I think I love you..." I whispered. She smiled even wider and leaned in a little bit. "I love you too, dingus." She whispered back, before she crashed her lips onto mine.
"...And if you need to know while I'm still standing, you just fade away..."
"You were amazing Billy!" I yelled at my brother who hurried back to me from the ocean. "It was so cool! at least 7 feet!" He yelled back. "I'm so proud of you Billy!" I laughed and hugged him. "You're the best sister ever." He whispered.
End flashbacks.
"...Don't you know, I'm still standing better than I ever did..."
I opened my eyes again with new strenght. I wasn't going to die, not today! I was able to pull my arm away and I ripped some veins from Vecna's neck, what caused him to yell out in pain and I felt the vines letting go off me. I dropped to the ground and quickly scrambled up again, running faster than I ever had.
"...Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid..."
I kept running while big pieces of debris were falling from the air. I kept my eyes focused on the little fog window that showed my friends standing around me. Robin and Nancy came running into the bathroom. "Y/n, baby please wake up!" Robin yelled as she pulled my hand. "I'm coming Rob, I promise..." I whispered, still running.
"...And I'm still standing after all this time..."
I just had to keep running, I was almost there...
"...Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind..."
Just keep running...
"...I'm still standing..."
I opened my eyes with a big gasp, I was back in the bathroom again. I was floating in the air for another couple seconds before I crashed down on the floor. Everything hurt and I was hyperventilating like crazy. "Y/n!" I heard max yell. My eyes looked through the crowd of people standing around me, only looking for one person, Robin. I saw her reach for me through my blurry vision. She held me close and smooched my forehead. "Oh my god, y/n, I thought I lost you! you're safe, you're okay..." She whispered as she held me. "I'm here..." I whispered back while I clung to her arms. "I'm right here..."
Long story short, I survived...
