Jeonghan and Joshua are childhood best friends since they're 3 years old
They've always been in the same class and always hang out together.
Right now both are 11 years old
Today again they were hanging out together

the two sat on the swings and Joshua keep being sad and gloomy

Joshua and his mother were in the airport and jeonghan came with his parents and wish them goodbye and jeonghan hug Joshua none stop

Js: I'll miss you too hannie

They let go off each other and Joshua left and left to America...

It's now have been 7y since joshua left South Korea to the US
Joshua did his middle and high school there and jeonghan did his in South Korea.
Joshua was today in his room packing his suitcase and was getting the help from his best friend here Vernon
V: you seem excited ?
Js: ofc im !!! Im going back to my fav country and I'll be able to search and meet Jeonghan again
V: you've been talking about him since a while now...
Js: I miss him and he's all I have...
V: you love him ?
Js: what ? No ! He's just my childhood best friend and I miss him and he helped me a lot

Js: I Hope so too...is your suitcase ready ?
V: ofc ! Now be fast we need to leave to the airport in 20min...
Joshua speed up and the two left and went to check out and wish their parents goodbye and went into their flight

After 13h of flight
The two arrived and were excited
They took the taxi to Seoul and went to their hotel for the night.
The next day they'll go for their first day of university in Seoul

The two change and freshen up and left to their university and went to the principal office and told him they were the students from overseas.
The principal nod and gave them their schedule and all and they start their day.
Vernon had a different schedule as he was still in high school..
The university Joshua join have a primary, middle and high school integrate as well.

Js: good luck too..
He went to his first class and went to sit...

As he waited for the class to start he then see bunch of girls all around a certain boy
The group of people came closer to his seat and the boy in middle of the girls spoke
??: excuse me ! What are you doing on my seat ?

He look up and was shock...it was Jeonghan
Js: i i didn't know it was your seat...
Jh: now you do...move away...
Joshua stood up and he look around and find another seats and start going over
Jh: hey!
He turn around
Jh: you're new here right ?
He nod
Jh: know your limits new boy...
He nod and went to sit feeling sad his childhood best friend forgot him and doesn't recognize him...
Indeed joshua changed a lot since his departure from South Korea years ago but he thought jeonghan would still remember him..but no...
The class started and the teacher greet everyone and spoke
T: today we have a new student in our group, he comes from the US...
Joshua look down and nod and everyone look at him and he gulp as he was embarrassed...
T: ok so.....I'm giving your test from last week...
She so start giving them and she comes to give the best grade to the students and it was jeonghan...again...
Joshua got that he was the first and top student in this class...

After the first day of school
Joshua was going out of the building when someone came behind him
Jh: hey American boy ?
Js: h huh ?
Jh: hear me out...it's not easy to got accept here...we all work our entire life to be here and be accepted without asking money to our parents...so I'm guessing you ? You didn't had to do this and only got here with the money of your dear parents...so don't pretend to be the smartest or be superior than us mostly with how the US are seen for their education
(No offense to Americans it's vésicale the stereotype we have 😭I'm really hoping it's not a true one but when I see videos I'm really scared for some of their knowledge)
Js: I I'll never d dare to do this...
Jh: you better American boy...
He said and left after staring at him with cold eyes the entire time

Joshua came back into his apartment...he got it as his mother and Vernon's parents accept to only pay their tickets to South Korea and the apartment...
As he came back he saw vernon and vernon seems happy
V: hey Josh ! How was today ?

Vernon saw he was sad and went to him and Joshua was crying
V: what happened ?
Js: i i met him...
Vernon got that it didn't go well
V: he didn't recognize you ?
Joshua shook his head and explain while crying
Vernon hug him and comfort him...

Js: I i can't h he'll not let me approach him

Vernon nod and took him to eat something and change his mind.

In these two months joshua got used to the life back in South Korea and how the school work...
However jeonghan didn't stop being mean to Joshua
He looked down on Joshua none stop he would always compare him to himself and put him down and said he came here because of his parents money and not intelligence and skills and quality...
That made Joshua mad and hate him...he miss him as a friend but still he didn't like this...
In 2 weeks they'll have an important exam that will say if they succeed their first semester.

Joshua was so studying a lot
Today he plan on going to the library to study
As he arrived he sat at a table and start studying.
As he start studying he saw jeonghan entering and sat at a table...he so start studying as well
After few minutes he saw a group of Korean girls entering the library and they were really noisy and he so decided to go to him as he was a bit far and hr sat in front of jeonghan
He start studying again and jeonghan look up at him and spoke
Jh: what are you doing here ?
Js: it's noisy behind so I came here.
Jeonghan shrug it it off and focus on his book as Joshua did too
After few minutes the group of girls came to jeonghan and flirt and talk with him
Joshua felt jealous and hurt seeing jeonghan accepting their words and advances
He so texted Vernon to pass the time...

just need someone to talk

Y yeah....I'm in the library and he's in front of me and bunch of girls are all over him...

Joshua was disgusted and sigh and stood up and left immediately and didn't mind his stuff he left there

He said and the girls obey as they were all head over heels for him..
As they left he pick Joshua's stuff and saw a paper and read it

Jeonghan wondered how he knows his nickname and why would he use it if they don't like each other...
He so pick his stuff and search for him and find him in the locker area and went to him
Jh: hey, American boy...you forgot your stuff in the library...
Joshua look at him and took them and look away

Js: y you wouldn't believe me...I'm just an American boy and son of his parents who payed for his education rather than entering here by his intelligence ?

Jeonghan felt bad and wondered if he was right to judge Joshua this fast on their "first" encountered...

The exam pass and the students got their results...
Again jeonghan finish first and Joshua was surprisingly at the same place
Jeonghan was shock and regret thinking he got accepted because of money....
He so decided to apologize to him
He so search for Joshua in the school and find him going out as they got their results and it was a day off after long stressful weeks

He turn around and was shock seeing jeonghan

Jh: I i wanted to tell you since years...but as a kid I didn't know the meaning of it and as the time flew by I put a name on it and got to know what it is and confirmed it now and I know it won't change and I waited years to tell you and didn't loose hope to see you again...what I wanted to say is...I love you...not as a friend...but more than that...I I've always loved you...
Joshua was shocked and blush and look down

Js: an and those girls ?
Jh: I don't care about them...they're fake and only behind my appearance...
Joshua chuckle and hug jeonghan

Js: y yes...
Jh: you really forgive me fully ?

Joshua smile and hug jeonghan tightly

He peck his head and lips and walk with him in his arms...

Js: Shush it's enough now...you're forgiven and you didn't know it was me...so now just think of now and not before
He peck his lips and lay his head on his chest and jeonghan smile and peck his head and caress his arm

He pick his phone and text Vernon

Js: he didn't answer it's weird ?
Jh: maybe he's busy ? Like you're with me
He said placing Joshua on his laps and peck his lips...
Js: maybe ? But it's not as good as it is with you...

He keep him close and both enjoyed the evening and Joshua slept at jeonghan place and enjoyed.

The two freshen up and change
Jeonghan lend joshua his clothes and Joshua was so cute in them.
As they went to school holding hands Joshua saw Vernon and went to him

Joshua chuckle and the two couples went to school and Joshua got down and hold his hand and went inside as they wave to seungkwan and Vernon
Both went to their class and spend their days together and jeonghan shoo away all the girls that approach him as they didn't like Joshua being close to him but he didn't care he only love Joshua
They were in their last class at the moment and were sitting beside each other
Jeonghan hold Joshua's hand and Joshua lean on his shoulder as they wait for the teacher and jeonghan peck his head
