Dwayne's eyes narrowed as he stared at me, his arms crossed in front of his chest. "You are not my Vinny, What the hell did you do to my Vinny? He never acted like this, so chill and calm."

I held up my hand, interrupting him before he could continue. "Trust me, Dwayne, It's really me. I'm just trying to change."

Dwayne raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. "I highly doubt that," he replied.

I let out a sigh, feeling the weight of his doubt pressing down on me. "It is me, really," I insisted.

After a few more moments of back and forth, Dwayne finally seemed to believe that it was still me standing in front of him. I took a deep breath and began to explain everything that had happened at the orphanage, skimming over the details of the fight with the bodyguards. Dwayne listened intently, his expression a mix of surprise and understanding.

"Well, I'm not surprised at all," he said finally, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips. "You've always been the type to get into fights. But I'm glad to see that you're trying to change. It's really freaking me out, though."

He continued, "Man, I really wish I had been there to see you taking out those bodyguards. I should have brought some popcorn to make it a real show for myself." He chuckled to, imagining the scene.

Not funny at all, I felt a flush of embarrassment creeping up my neck. "I just want to change and be a nice person," I mumbled.

Dwayne shook his head, his hand coming to rest on my shoulder, "What do you mean? You're already the nicest person I've ever met on this planet, I love you just the way you are, bro," he said sincerely.

I responded calmly, "Dude, stop acting like you are my girlfriend, it seriously pisses me off."

Dwayne let out a hearty laugh, "That's more like my Vinny," he said, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

After our laughter subsided, we exchanged waves and went our separate ways. As I walked for a few minutes, I finally arrived at the orphanage. The familiar sight of the building brought a sense of comfort, but it was the sight of Doctor Elizabeth that truly caught my attention. Perched upon a regal chair and a stately table, she exuded an aura of resplendence, her countenance adorned with a straw hat of exquisite craftsmanship and a flowing blue skirt that billowed with every graceful movement. As a physician of great renown, she possessed a singular fashion sense that distinguished her from the masses, a veritable embodiment of elegance and refinement.

Approaching her, I couldn't help but notice the bright smile that adorned her face. She placed her tea cup down and beckoned me to join her. "Hey honey, care to join me?" she asked warmly.

When she asked that question, my mind raced with thoughts, You know, they say an apple a day keeps the doctor away if you throw it hard enough, but in her case, I think I need to take things up a notch. I mean, forget just apples! I should gather every fruit known to mankind and start launching them at her with the force of a thousand cannons! Maybe a barrage of bananas, a volley of watermelons, and a hailstorm of pineapples will do the trick.

I hesitated for a moment, but knowing I had to decline. "Thank you, but I have to decline," I replied regretfully.

Her smile faltered slightly, replaced by a curious expression. "Aww, that made me sad. Why didn't you come last night? I thought you would, for sure," she inquired, placing a hand on her chin. "Lost interest in me?"

I quickly shook my head, wanting to explain the reason behind my absence. "I went to sleep in Alice's room to keep her company. She always sleeps with me, but since she was sick, I decided to give her some company. That's why I didn't come."

Doctor Elizabeth's smirk returned, her eyes gleaming mischievously. "Oooo, so you guys are a thing," she teased.

blush crept onto my cheeks as I tried to clarify our relationship. "We're not officially a couple yet, but we're definitely heading in that direction," I admitted.

Her smirk remained, undeterred by my explanation. "I see. Well, anyway, that's not the point. I want you to come and see me tonight in my room. I have something important to discuss," she stated firmly.

I don't like those odds, my heart skipped a beat at her request, unsure of what she wanted to discuss. "If it's about becoming your bodyguard, then I'm afraid I won't be able to listen," I responded, recalling her previous proposition.

Doctor Elizabeth shook her head, her expression serious. "No, it's about Alice," she clarified, her tone filled with concern.

When she mentioned Alice's name, my mind went blank. It could be related to her health and condition, and I couldn't ignore that. Without any hesitation, I agreed to meet her. A smile spread across her face at my response, and I made my way back to my room.

Entering my room, I immediately started doing my homework. Hours passed, and I finally finished. Glancing at the clock, I realized it was already 7 o'clock. I continued studying in my room, engrossed in the pages of my book. The hours seemed to fly by as I delved deeper into the world of knowledge. It wasn't that I considered myself a nerd; I simply enjoyed the thrill of learning and expanding my horizons.

As the night wore on, fatigue began to creep into my bones. I glanced at the clock on my study table, its hands pointing at the number ten. With a sigh, I rose from my chair, stretching my tired muscles. It was time for a break.

Leaving my room, I stepped into the dimly lit hallway, unsure of where the doctor's room was located. Instead of aimlessly wandering, I decided to seek out a bodyguard for directions. Spotting one nearby, I approached him and politely inquired about the doctor's whereabouts. He kindly pointed me towards the left side of the hallway, indicating that her room was nearby. Expressing my gratitude, I set off towards her room, my steps echoing softly against the polished floor.

As I neared the door, I noticed two more bodyguards stationed outside. They acknowledged my presence and informed me that the doctor was expecting me. With a nod of appreciation, I turned the doorknob and entered the room.

There she sat, perched on a chair in her elegant nightgown, her legs crossed gracefully. Her nightgown was a sheer, delicate fabric that clung to her curves in all the right places. The soft material shimmered in the dim light, accentuating her every movement. The plunging neckline revealed a hint of her ample cleavage, while the thigh-high slit showcased her long, slender legs. The intricate lace detailing added a touch of elegance to the already seductive ensemble, leaving little to the imagination. She exuded confidence and allure, a vision of sensuality in the intimate setting.

A smile played upon her lips as she motioned for me to take a seat. I obliged, settling into a chair opposite her.

"So, let's talk," I said, my tone direct. "What did you want to discuss about Alice?"

Her playful smirk grew wider as she leaned back in her chair. "No need to rush, sweetie," she replied. "Why don't we have a little chat about the unfinished conversation we had earlier?"

I sighed, knowing this conversation would not be an easy one. "I've already told you, I have no interest in becoming your bodyguard."

She raised an eyebrow, her eyes glinting mischievously. "And why not? I can offer you a much higher salary. My bodyguards earn $7,000 per month, but I'm willing to pay you $20,000 per month or even $50,000, you just have to name it."

Money was not the issue, and I made that clear. "It's not about the money. Even if you were to offer me a billion dollars, I would still decline."

Her smirk transformed into a look of genuine intrigue. "I must admit, I'm quite taken with you. I am crazy about you ever since I saw you. Your skills have impressed me, and you possess a rare combination of reliability, fearlessness, and strength. You're ready to take on any risk, unafraid of even death itself." Her voice carried a seriousness that made it difficult for me to maintain my composure.

She continued, her voice dripping with a mix of confidence and menace, "I will tell you about my real identity." My eyes widened in surprise and apprehension. Was she implying that she wasn't who she appeared to be?

With a slight smirk, she revealed, "My name is real, though, and my job too. Elizabeth Murphy. But the most important thing you need to know is that I am a drug dealer.

Her words hit me like a ton of bricks, and I couldn't help but gasp in shock. "What's your deal?" I managed to stammer, my mind racing to comprehend the situation unfolding before me.

She responded with an evil smile, her eyes glinting with a dangerous intensity. "My main objective is to recruit you. I want you to work for me, with you by my side, I can take on anyone. You see, I have some enemies who are trying to interfere with my business, and you, my dear, would be the perfect weapon against them."

My initial shock turned into a firm resolve as I shook my head. "Even so, that will be a definite no. I have no interest in getting involved in your illicit activities."

She chuckled darkly, her amusement evident. "You have no choice. You are in the palm of my hand, and you will do as I say."

Curiosity mingled with fear as I asked, "How so? What power do you hold over me?"

A wicked grin spread across her face as she leaned in closer. "I won't donate the money to the orphanage," she whispered, her voice laced with a chilling undertone.

I tried to maintain my composure, feigning indifference. "It's completely fine, we don't need it." I replied, hoping to conceal the true importance of the cause.

Her laughter filled the room, echoing off the walls. "Oh, my dear, I know that money is important to you. But what if... I were to do something... that strikes at the very core... of your heart? What if I were to harm someone you hold dear?"

My heart skipped a beat, and a surge of anger coursed through my veins. In an instant, I shot up from my bed, my hands instinctively grabbing her collar. "You BITCH!" I seethed, my voice filled with rage. "Lay a finger on Alice, and I will smash your head into pieces."

She maintained her wicked smile, seemingly unfazed by my outburst. "You do know there is one bodyguard outside her room, don't you? One word from me, and he will kill her."

My grip on her collar loosened, and I took a step back, my voice trembling with desperation. "Don't do it," I pleaded, my eyes locked with hers.

She continued to smile, her eyes gleaming with a twisted satisfaction. "I won't do it if you agree to do the dirty work for me, honey."

I got on my knees, desperately pleading, my heart pounded in my chest. The room was dimly lit, casting eerie shadows on the walls, as I faced this woman standing in front me, her piercing gaze seemed to penetrate my very soul.

"Please don't hurt her," I implored, my voice trembling with fear and desperation. The weight of the situation pressed heavily upon me, knowing that the life of someone I cherished hung in the balance. Tears welled up in my eyes, blurring my vision.

To my surprise, her expression softened slightly, her stern features giving way to a hint of contemplation. "Fine," she finally replied, her voice laced with a touch of intrigue. "So you agree to be my bodyguard? I will take care of the rest of your paperwork and provide you with a fake ID. You have my word, there is no need to worry."

Relief washed over me, mingling with the remnants of fear that still clung to my trembling form. I nodded, my voice choked with emotion. "I will do it," I managed to utter, my words barely audible. "Please, just don't hurt her."

My mind raced, desperately searching for a way out of this nightmarish situation. I knew I couldn't trust her, not after the cruel games she had played. But the thought of harm coming to my beloved was unbearable. "Trust me, my darling," she cooed, her voice dripping with false sweetness. "I won't hurt her at all. I know how dear she is to you. Trust me."

How could I trust her? Trust was a fragile thing, easily shattered and nearly impossible to repair. It was like a mirror, once broken, forever marred. I hesitated, my eyes locked with hers, searching for any hint of sincerity. But all I saw was a glimmer of sadistic pleasure, hidden beneath her facade.

Taking a deep breath, I mustered my resolve, I replied, "Trust is a strong word, it takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair, it's just like a mirror once it's broken you can never look at it in the same way again. I can't simply hand it over to you."

Her smile faltered for a moment, a flicker of frustration crossing her face. But just as quickly, it was replaced with a mask of indifference. "Well, my dear," she sneered, her voice dripping with venom. "If you can't trust me, then perhaps you should consider the consequences."

I said "Okay. I will."

A faint smile tugged at the corners of her lips, her eyes gleaming with a mix of satisfaction and curiosity. "Very well," she replied, her voice carrying a newfound sense of authority. "Now, go back to your room darling. I will tell you other details later. I am going to adopt you."
